The owner is also on site doing the work and managing the job. I specifically used them after seeing them topcoat some of my neighbors driveways and it was a beautiful finish.. David Rivera was hired through Handy.com to install a new door. He damaged our new door before he…read morerealized that it would not fit. At that point, he estimated it would cost 525.00 to rebuild the door frame to fit the new door. We stated we would return the door for the correct size, but he stated he damaged the door so it couldn't be returned. He did not offer to replace the door he damaged. When he returned, he had nothing to build the frame up. All he had was a used door that he told us was new. He put in the used door wrong. It has to literally be slammed to get it to close. The door will have to be replaced. He was suppose to sell the new door and give us money back. It has been over 4 months and we have heard nothing from him. Handy.com did refund us the money we paid them. He was not suppose to charge us anything and was supposed to go through handy.com. He did none of this . We feel like we were really conned by this person. It ended up costing over 1000.00 for the door and it was so poorly installed that we will have to replace it. We have tried to get NYS consumer protection involved. This company doesn't even have a legitimate address. So, they have only his email if it till works as a means to contact him. He has his home address listed as the same as his business address - which is not a real address. Would never recommend working with this individual or having him do anything with your home. We feel like we were really conned by this person, and Handy.com has failed to give us the support that we needed to resolve this problem.
