Liminal is tiny spot in Barrio Antiguo with some indoor and outdoor seating. The tables and chairs themselves are not super comfortable, but they are sturdy, so Liminal is not for every vibe.
They have a wide menu of coffee drinks and some breakfast items and sweets. The coffee is top notch. I ordered a pour-over which was well worth the wait. It was also served on super cute tray with a small cup and a couple of chocolates to enhance the flavor. This lovely set up made me wish for a bit more space to enjoy it while I was reading.
I also enjoyed a bagel sandwich with egg and avocado and a cookie. The cookie was great with pepitas and melty chocolate, great combination and rich flavor profile. The bagel sandwich was good, but messy (just a fork, no knife to cut it), and the bagel could have been toasted more (common opportunity with bagels in Mexico) to bring out it's flavor and texture.
Oh, for some comfortable chairs in this space. It's a lovely space and could be great for relaxing, but they may be looking for a faster turn or different type of clientele. I think the show movies sometimes, but it was not obvious where in the cramped space. read more
