Later, it was known as Steve's Bar and Billiards. in the late 2000s it became "Steve's Cue and Grill." It moved to its current location around 1980 It has ~ 12 Diamond pool tables, a small retail/repair shop, and a small bar in the back. In my Avon Lady days, I sold Avon to the owner and made Christmas gift baskets to sell to Steve's customers. One of my high school sorority sisters was a bartender there, for years. Steve's has a loyal staff and, at that time, a good deal of regulars. It was also a smoking establishment. I doubt that it still is, but I don't know for sure. They host league nights and are open 7 days a week. When I frequented Steve's, they were known for, food-wise, their hamburgers and their ribeye special. I'm glad Steve's is here. Not for me, since I don't play pool, but as a local option for those who do. If you go to Steve's, and Angel is behind the bar, tell her I said "hi!"

We found a booth and waited a few minutes to get menus. The place was kind of dark and vintage. Not really quaint. You can tell this was a local hangout place. We came around 11:30am on a Wednesday. You could reserve a pool table for $7/hour. We ordered food so they let us play for free. The menu was of type sandwich, appetizer, drinks. The food was pretty good. A lot better than what I expected. There is about 23 pool tables here. The place was huge. Nobody was playing or eating when we arrived. It was very cool. I apologize I forgot to get a photo of the place. I wanted to. As for food I got the cuban sliders with onion rings. The rings were like a beer-battered frozen ring but tasted good and were cooked well with a nice crunch. The sandwiches were tasty. They cost more than $11. I cannot remember exactly how much. I'll probably try what my friend got next time. His BBQ nachos were huge. They looked delicious. They were also cheaper than my sliders at about $10.50. We both got a bottle of Dasani water. No fountain drinks available. We'll be back for lunch again soon.

(I think that is called Huntington Plaza where Fire and Spice is currently located.) Within the last 15-ish years they moved to their current, and significantly larger location. I can't speak to the food, Miss Margaret, I think is her name, is behind all the Southern goodness served up. I think they have daily specials and offer wings, burgers, you know - bar food and oysters occasionally. Back when when my best friend's husband was into pool and played there every Friday, they had a complimentary buffet set up in the back. I'm sure I have eaten there since I have been to Diamond's ~ 2 dozen times, I just don't recall what I had. Best friend loves their burger and all the southern dishes. I do like their bar. It is horseshoe shaped with nice, comfy upholstered chairs. They offer pool, of course, trivia, TVs, pool leagues, and live music. I'm not sure if they charge a cover or not for the live music nights. They do allow smoking/vaping - so beware; however, due to the size of the place, it probably won't be a deal breaker for you if/when indoor activities resume. Huntsville really doesn't have that many pool places - I can only think of Diamond's and Bumpers (maybe End Zone??) They do not have a website, you'll have to track Diamond's socials (FB primarily) to see what Miss Margaret is cooking up and to learn about their COVID procedures.
