    Ohio City

CoHatch is a national coworking/office space chain with a location in Ohio City. I attended several…read moreevents in this space with the women's empowerment group for a few years now. Most recently, I attended fall-themed daytime co-working event with a few friends. My review includes collective experiences. AMBIANCE: Modern, industrial chic vibes with exported brick walls, faux metal walls, concrete looking walls, and innovative lighting. It's a beautiful juxtaposition with comfortable velvet furniture found around the space. Interest murals (like space) and colorful accent furniture decorate the space. You'll find plenty of space to work - open area in the space meeting room, front of the co-working space that resembles a cafe (with an abundance of natural light), or mid-building with comfy tables and booths. The space well caters to different working scenarios. There are offices (38 total) for entrepreneurs, meeting rooms (various sizes) for teams, talk rooms for two guest conversations, phone booths for private calls. There is also a podcast studio with soundproof setup for the creators. Arcade for team building. I observed that most guests prefer offices or large meeting spaces. After all, the name of the coworking center is for the "hatching of ideas." This co-working center has two kitchenettes where you can find coffee machines, fridges, and microwaves. Be on the lookout for snacks shared by office mates. I got a lot of snacks during my coworking day and really enjoyed it. CoHatch offered fall display - hot and cold apple cider, the most delicious caramel, apples, fall cookies and small bites. MEMBERSHIP: CoHatch offers tours and free first day passes available via their site. There are opportunities to checkout their space during Eventbrite events - networking and co-working days. Memberships have various tiers - day passes, business day passes, starter/part-time and unlimited coworking. All tiers get you access to all CoHatch locations during business hours, free workshops, events, guest passes, free guest Fridays, and other perks. The prices are clearly listed on the site with the lowest tier being $120. One notable perk is access to vacation homes that is certainly not offered anywhere else locally. The space is never crowded so that you can have a private work space and low traffic experience. NEIGHBORHOOD: The neighborhood of Hingetown is very walkable. You can easily walk to the nearby coffee shops, boutiques, apartments, bars, and restaurants. There are so many notable destinations around that area! Parking in the area is a bit complex but the coworking center has onsite parking lot. All in all, it's a fun place to work for a change of pace in a vibrant area. It's suitable as an event space and work space. Check it out!

When I visited in May 2023, I stayed for about 5 hours. I got to stay for free because the first usage is free. This is a co-working space in Ohio City and they have another location in Beachwood. Everyone gets their first visit for free which is a nice offering. INSIDE -- It is quite large inside with seating available on the first and second floors. I sat on the first floor and worked on my laptop. The space includes private offices that businesses rent out and there are conference rooms available to use which must be paid and booked for in advance. They also have small phone rooms with a chair for people who want to have private phone conversations. TEA/COFFEE/WATER -- They provide complimentary tea, coffee, and water which is great and there are mugs that can be used. A dishwasher is available to place used mugs in. FRIDGE/MICROWAVE -- They have a fridge and microwave so if you want to pack your lunch then you can eat it here which is exactly what I did when I visited. Parking is located for free on the street which can be difficult to find in Ohio City but they have a small parking lot attached to the bar that is located right next to the space. I received a $50 gift card from a friend so I definitely will be back to either this location or their much bigger Beachwood location. If you work remote (from work) and do not want to go to a library or coffee shop, then I recommend this co-working space. **** - 64/150 total reviews in 2023 - 615 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 May 2023

I used their Beachwood co-working space for the first time in April 2023. All first time guests get to use the space for a whole day for free which is nice. I love that there are multiple places to sit to get your work done. Table and chair? Check. Soft sofa or cushioned chair? Double check? They also have complimentary tea and coffee. They are connected to a shopping centre so if you are hungry and need food, you will be able to easily order food. They have a fountain drink/soda machine but the machine actually is for beer only which I thought was funny. The outside of the machine is labeled Coca Cola but they don't sell coke (haha). I don't drink alcohol but for those who do, grab a beer if you want. I do not know the price but I'm assuming a dollar or two. They host events here and I previously came for a private "The Beauty Boost" event here on April 13, 2023. A friend gave me a gift card so I will definitely be back to either this location or their Ohio City location. Visit their website to check out their membership prices. **** - 67/150 total reviews in 2023 - 618 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 31 May 2023

A second time for a small concert. The space served both occasions very well. LAYOUT: The space has an open layout. There is a huge kitchen, open coworking space, and some offices. The seating includes tables and couch like seating. Inside you'll also find phone booth for private calls. The space is pleasantly modern with an abundance of natural light. It effortlessly inspires your best work. DROP-INS: Drop-in coworking sign up is incredibly easy. It's $25 per visit. You can reserve a pass online with amenities (HDMI, WiFi, TV, and whiteboard). You can also drop-in and pay onsite. The space also offers gallery memberships (essentially work in an open space), meeting rooms, private offices, and mail services. You can visit the office 24/7 as a member. SERVICE: The service is pleasant but I couldn't tell you who the Community Manager here is unlike at other coworking spaces. It takes away from personal connection. I also couldn't tell you who the community is, there are no networking opportunities. MY COWORKING DAY: Overall, I enjoyed my coworking experiences but found some challenges. The space wasn't quiet enough for me to take conference calls and was crowded during my visit. The phone pod/booth was very simplistic, not so presentable for video calls, and had very little room. The space wasn't well equipped in terms of outlets. They were shared and hot commodity. There were elements that I loved about working here. Location is amazing. I ventured out for coffee in the morning and lunch at the Food Hall in Van Aken. It's a very short walk. In the summer you can even sit outside at lunch. It's lovely to have all the delicious food within steps. I love the clean and simple aesthetic of this space. The spacious kitchen was nice for morning coffee as well as eating and work favorite duo. If you're a shopaholic, this is also an ideal location. Work hard, shop hard. It's also probably fun to work here when events are happening at Van Aken so that you can transition from work to play. PARKING: The coworking space does not have dedicated parking but there is plenty around. Limited street parking is available at Van Aken. The most roomy options are multi-tier parking garage and surface lot. Both are huge and free. I'd visit this AO Office on occasion. It's not a good long-term fit for me. There are not enough private nooks, community events and relationship-building. I will confidently say that it's the most upscale looking coworking location on the East Side.

A co-work space is only as good as the people who run it and they are fantastic. From the community manager Jesse to Chantell and Anne, they care about your experience, whether you are staying a month or 12 months.
