Lime Tequila on Kings Hwy in Port Charlotte is one of my favorite spots for authentic Mexican food and great service. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and has a fun atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chips and salsa are a great start, and the tableside guacamole is a must-try. The portions are generous, and everything I've ordered has been delicious. Their margaritas and tequila selection are excellent as well. The staff is friendly, attentive, and works hard to make sure guests have a great experience. So glad to have found Lime Tequila, especially since it's closer to us here in PG. We already love going to Pineapple Tequila, so learning it's owned by the same family made total sense once we ate here. We have been back a few times now and it never disappoints! Even though it always seems packed, we've never had to wait, they get us seated right away every time. The inside has a fun, cool vibe, with TVs scattered around, a lively bar area, and a great atmosphere whether you're there for dinner or drinks. Lots of booth and table seating. Service is consistently fast and friendly. We also love their chips and salsa...fresh, flavorful, and hard to stop eating and not too spicy. The tableside guacamole is delicious and a must-order, and the food is always fresh and tasty no matter what we choose. Their street tacos are great as well as the fajitas. Really all the dishes we have tried so far are good. This has quickly become one of our go-to spots. Came here for a late lunch on Saturday. The place was busy. Totally understaffed. Our waitress Pao was totally in the weeds. She was nice, but told us it's at least 30 minutes before anyone gets their food to the tables. She was so busy that she never once came back to check on us or if we needed anything, not even once. We don't believe it's her fault as much as we believe it's just poor management. Sadly, like our friends say, and we tend to believe, this restaurant is really starting to go downhill. The last time we were here the fajitas were awful and this time the meal was subpar. We had burritos and enchiladas. They were covered in a very nasty sauce and the rice was totally overcooked and dried. Many people have turned away from this restaurant and we think it's time we do too. Unless they hire more staff and get much better chefs we won't be back. read more

Teresa was our server. She was quick to take our order and serve both the drinks and food. She is very friendly. Ask for the Mole menu, their mole is very good. The food and atmosphere is amazing! We've been here several times. Always a great environment with friendly waitstaff, hosts and bartenders. We had a wonderful time in a back booth. We did not feel rushed, even though it was two hours until close at our arrival. I, would never, ever show up an hour or less before close! While the food and service was very good, the server ending ruined the whole night. The server dropped the check and waited above my husband while he put in the tip. We always tip at least 20%, but this made him very uncomfortable and stressed. Why can't we go back to the good old days where we tip on a check with paper receipts and not electronics!? And the minimum tip was 20%!!!! The minimum! As a bartender for the last 20 years, I wouldn't aggressively badger someone for 20% everytime! We'll not be going back for quite some time. read more

Never been here before but friends said they loved it so we decided to try it. Waitress brought out warm chips and salsa while we decided what to order. I went with Marroums burrito. I thought it might taste funny because it said it had ham and pineapple as a topping/mixed in but it was subtle and not over powering. The chorizo was sprinkled on top along wiry their cheese say. Good blend of flavors. Not salty. My wife had mini chimichangas, with different meats inside. She said the chicken one was really salty. But she enjoyed the rest. Waitress kept up in drinks and chips and salsa. Before we would even think yo ask she had another one in our hand. Seating booths have hand carved and painted designs, very nice. Entering the door puts you into a new world filled with the art and decor of Mexico to include decorative tables and booths. The food is typical, well prepared and delicious. Menu is varied and your choices are many. Staff is professional and pleasant. I chose my favorite Carne Asarda and wife had a burrito. Service was good, food took a little longer than expected to come out. Prices are just outrageous. My plate was 2 tortillas, canned shredded chicken, lettuce , tomatoes, and sour cream on top, with about a quarter cups worth of Queso. Used to be a regular until I had a health issue that kept me out of the restaurant scene for a bit. Not much has changed until I noticed a new menu item. Adelita's Quesabirrias ! I have had birria tacos in multiple places in Texas and NYC and loved them but had never seen them anywhere in Florida. To be on the safe side, I asked our wonderful server if he would pick that dish or another I had always enjoyed. No contest he said. Only the Adelita's Quesabirrias. Alrighty then! Honestly it has been the best dish I have had locally since I moved here seven years ago. The grilled onions and jalapeno along with tender beef and consommé knocked my flip flops off. We normally go to pink tequila and love the food so decided to try lime tequila. We were incredibly disappointed. Sent back 2 drinks, the house margarita was super watered down and the second fresh one was incredibly tart. Inconsistent if it's made in matches. Food was very bland, bacon in the Alhambra was chewy. Sent out the wrong beans with one meal. Server got annoyed when we brought up the issues. Got the check. Paid and left. My wife met up with a friend here a little while ago and suggested we stop in for dinner after shopping around for furniture for our new home. They were still celebrating "El Dia de Los Muertos" and the staff had their faces painted. Food was authentic and delicious, we had ordered the enchiladas supremas and a salad in a shell. We also ordered the fresh guacamole that was prepared table side. I love Mexican food and needed a fix since leaving our favorite restaurant in Jersey. I couldn't be happier with our new replacement. This is my 2nd time here. The first time the food was awful. This time I waited about 30 minutes for my lunch. Once I got it, it was ice cold. The plate was hot but the single enchilada and rice and beans were ice cold. I know it was hot at some point because the cheese on the beans was melted.
