We love Alexandria! Our two boys attend LilyBug Learning and she's been part of our lives for the last 3 years. From day one, the environment felt safe, loving and welcoming. She treats our children like her own and it feels like we've become part of her family. My oldest had a tough time transitioning into daycare and we received daily updates on his progress. She even took the time to chat with us to help relieve our worries. We go to her for advice and there is lots of open communication between us. We truly feel like partners in our children's development. Our children absolutely love going to daycare each day! Sometimes they don't want to leave. They get lots of individual attention, delicious and healthy meals (we joke that they eat better at daycare than at home) and lots of time to explore indoors and outdoors. She really prepares them through educational learning, routines and hands on play. Alexandria even arranges to take the kids on offsite excursions such as farms, library, parks and play places. As a new mom in a new town, finding the right care for my daughter was daunting. From the first phone call to the first meeting, we knew Alexandria was going to be a great fit. First and foremost, she is a fantastic mom whom I've learned a lot from. Secondly, her education and knowledge is impressive. From home cooked meals to thoughtfully planned holiday crafts, she has all the bases covered for a caring, comfortable in home daycare. Absolutely love this daycare!! I have had my children enrolled in this private daycare centre for over 2 years and couldn't imagine sending them anywhere else. Alexandria treats all the children as if they were hers, they feel like family. I never worry when my children are in her care. Since its a small centre they get tons of one on one attention. She frequently takes the kids on offsite excursions, to the splash pad, library and local park. Alexandria gets to know all the children extremely well and always goes the extra mile to ensure each child feels loved and cared for. My son is a huge superhero fan so Alexandria purchased some amazing felt superhero books for him to play with, (I've never heard of another center giving this kind of special treatment). She also never missing celebrating every holiday and even throws each child a mini birthday party. Lilybug is located on a nice quiet suburban side street. Very little traffic which makes drop off a breeze. Food wise you couldn't ask for a better menu for your children. We often make jokes that our children eat better there than at home. I'm not sure how Alexandria finds the time but she always provides the children with extremely healthy and adventurous meals. This center does have a bit shorter than average hours but this is because Alexandria is highly involved in coaching. Anytime we've ever needed to make changes with our days or needed a late pick up or early drop off to make a meeting at work she's been more than accomodating. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new daycare, you will not be disappointed in the care your child receives. read more
