As a tourist, noticed the UK has several of these cafes where you can pick up a sandwich on-the-go,…read moreprepared fresh daily and already wrapped -- Eat, Pret-a-Manger and M&S. I loved all of them. This Eat location was next door to our hotel at the Harte & Garter - very convenient as we needed something quick before heading to work. They had sandwiches, wraps, soups and hot dishes. Service was very friendly. Space is small inside but there are also some tables outside. ROAST CHICKEN SANDWICH - £3.95 Rustic French baguette w/ roast chicken and herb salad (arugula). The baguette was a little hard to eat (it's rustic bread, after all) but overall, enjoyed my sandwich very much. Also got a water bottle (£1.69). Overall great option if you need a quick bite. My co-workers enjoyed their sandwiches too.

Outside the deli/cafe there are large letters spelling EAT, can't miss it. It was nice and convenient that they had a little section in the corner of the refrigerated sandwiches for kids meals. It included a sandwich, a fruit of choice and a cookie, sweet! Instantly my daughter was over the top excited about this. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun, yummm. We also picked up some salt and vinegar chips cuz we were in England, gotta have those. When proceeding to check out we notice they have pastries and all kinds of goodies. We opted for the chocolate hazelnut croissant. So good! Did not disappoint. They gave us nice, sturdy paper bags to carry our food to the bus.

They seat more than they can handle or serve at a time. Maybe understaffing is an issue, which is understandable 100%, but they shouldn't continue seating if they can't handle their seating. There's a reason why you "wait to be seated", so they should be taking full advantage of that. The drinks are okay, the Bloody Mary isn't the best and the mimosa (or Buck's Fizz) is what you'd expect with pulpy orange juice (freshly squeezed). I should also point out I work at a high volume restaurant as well. I was trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Short staffed or maybe busier than they're used to, but it still didn't make sense that a party of only 4 had to wait more than 20 minutes to put an order in -- let alone speak to an employee. I mean seriously. Three separate couples walked in and were seated almost 15 minutes after we had been seated and were served minutes before anyone had bothered to get to us. The only part of this experience that made it somewhat worth it was the young busser -- Liam. He was so kind and tried to get us service as quickly as possible when we finally said something. The other two servers there weee quite rude and clearly not able to handle the capacity of the restaurant. I would not recommend coming here if you want a quick and smooth brunch, as this place just doesn't provide that for you.

Paeonia - Fluffy cheese teas

It was like being in an upscale boutique, but for boba and it totally set the mood. There was no queue and we promptly put in our orders. I went for the fluffy cheese tea mango and my other half got their signature fluffy cheese milk tea. You can customize your drink's sweetness level and the ice level, but we kept it standard. We opted to add tapioca pearls for our toppings which is an extra 70 pence per topping. Although it was a bit of a wait for a drinks (there was only one worker), I waited in anticipation as I love sweets and bubble tea. The nice girl explained that their drink covers are made special and the heart plug comes out and you're able to stick it in the middle. Sipping from that spot will get you a taste of the fluffy cheese. On the opposite end is the opening for the straw and that'll allow you to get a taste of your drink/boba. It's brilliant really! I wasn't sure what to expect from a bubble tea shop in Windsor, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. They don't skimp on the fluffy cheese and it tastes wonderful. It also pairs well with their drinks. The boba was also perfectly chewy and not overcooked or overly sweet. From the servicescape, to the packaging, to the product itself - they've really done a wonderful job and I wish we had a spot like this back home on Maui. Highly recommend a stop here if you're nearby.

I got their signature milk tea made with soy milk, but it tasted super milky. It hardly had any tea in it. But my better half got the lychee oolong, and his was pretty good. Whilst this did mean our service was somewhat 'attentive', they did a good job of not making us feel rushed or hassled. The food is 'light', consisting of mainly smoked salmon, seafood platters and oysters...but fear not, they do do skinny chips... but as these take a little time i would recommend getting your order in for them as soon as you sit down before you peruse the menu, so they are ready with the rest of your meal. You WILL want the fries, as they are really yummy and crispy... and otherwise you would leave hungry! The wine list is well balanced, and perfectly suited to the food they offer... the bottle (or two, if i am honest) of muscadet we drank was delicious, light and with just a touch of sparkle, and very reasonable at £21. Its not a cheap place (but you wouldn't expect that of a seafood and oyster restaurant), but the service is friendly, personal and helpful, the food is fresh and the setting is lovely. I think i shall save my next visit for a lazy summer lunch...but there will be a 'next visit' so that says alot!
