I highly recommend Lillique Training Institute for services as I had great sessions and appointments! I went to Lillique for laser hair removal for a special and I had a wonderful experience. The facility is clean, beautiful, and highly professional. I started my first session with a student under the supervision of a licensed instructor and continued my laser sessions afterward with instructor Toni. Toni is the best! This was my first time for any type of treatment and Toni made me feel very comfortable and put my concerns to ease. The student was very attentive, and I felt like I was in good hands especially with the caring guidance of Toni. Each session she listened to all of my concerns and gave me detailed aftercare instructions. Especially when I had to go on my trip to Mexico. I have also been seen by Mandana, the owner, who is so nice, caring, and very knowledgeable. She made the facility feel welcoming and warm. Their laser equipment is top-notch and very impressive. Overall, I had a very positive experience receiving services here. Lillique has a comfortable, calming, beautiful and professional environment which makes me appreciate the business! Mandana and the instructors take very good care of you! They also have a lot of promotions, which are great deals. They also have a great selection of PCA skincare products! SAVE YOUR MONEY- DO NOT COME HERE!!!! The students and teachers are great, but the owner was so incredibly rude and aggressive. I've never met a less professional manager. I did not receive the full service which I signed up for and was happy to pay for, but since I didn't receive it in its entirety, I asked if I could come back and get the part of the facial service I didn't get but was most looking forward to and didn't receive fully (the extraction). I would've also been fine to pay a discounted price for the service I did get today, but instead of being understanding and flexible and trying to help me find a solution that I felt comfortable with, the manager yelled at me and berated me in front of the entire clinic. She proceeded to call the cops on me even though I was happy to pay, just not an unfair price for a service I was advertised but did not get. All and all, this manager ruined my day and my experience and I have nothing positive to say about her. She made her own business look very bad, and came across very stingy and difficult. I hope this business finds a better owner and management soon, they deserve a lot better. TLDR: Estheticians were great, manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I've been going to Lilllique Training Institute for facials for more than a year. I'm in this amazing facial club so I get two a month at an amazingly low price. It may not be the ambience of some of the fancy med spas, but they have high-quality product and very dedicated students and staff who ensure you have a perfect facial. As the students learn, they recommend little add-ons for free with the facial and all facials last an hour because there's a massage of the shoulders and back. Unbelievable. Strongly recommend for people who want to be pampered, want to have great skin, but don't really have a budget for $100. read more

I've been here twice now. I haven't been impressed either time. It's honestly not even worth a discounted price because they don't do a good job at all. Last time, my aesthetician was very nice, but she was not throw it all. At one point, while I was having a facial, I even heard an instructor yelling at another student. This time around, the instructor was much more hands-on with the student performing my facial. Even with all of this micromanage and guidance, the students still didn't do a good job. And I get it, they are learning, hence the discounted price. But there are some basic things that you just need to get together. I felt the student struggle in key parts of my face, like my nose, chin, and around my mouth. She did maybe two extractions. And then for the other parts, she simply used her fingers and was just pushing my skin around a lot. Not squeezing things out of my skin, but pushing things out. Hence the pictures below. These were taken in the bathroom at the location. I had just stepped out after having my facial finished and immediately looked at all of the blackheads on my nose that were still there. I also saw a couple deeper blackheads that I had specifically pointed out and inform the student of. Neither her or the teacher apparently saw them, but I saw them perfectly without being under a light or magnifier. I also want to add the quality of the products they use is not great. Normally, when I leave a facial, I leave looking and feeling great. My skin looks super moisturized and clear, even if there are red spots from extra extractions. I wouldn't even call what they did here extracting. Quite frankly, I would barely call it a facial. The student I worked with, had such a gentle touch on my face that it barely felt like she was applying products. Also, you can tell that their supplies are rationed or something because there were multiple times where I could feel the product not being spread because there wasn't enough. Or, I would have to tell her that she had missed spot because I could feel where she didn't apply anything. At the end of the service, my skin felt extremely tight and dry. I had to ask them to put additional moisturizer on. The instructor tried to say something about how I wasn't hydrated internally and that's why my skin was like that. That's BS, ma'am. I drink more than 100 ounces of water a day. Let's not play this game. I would not recommend at all. Unless you're taking a teenager here for the first time and they don't have any skin issues and you're just doing so so they can feel like a big girl, this will not be worth your time. Also worth noting: the first time I came here, I did so with a Groupon. The girl at the front desk tried to overcharge me, then went to the bathroom and cried when I informed her that she was wrong. She didn't even excuse herself when she went to the bathroom. She just disappeared for five minutes as I stood there waiting to pay and nobody tended to me. read more

As a former student in the basic program, I feel compelled to share my experience because I believe both myself and many of my classmates were deprived of the quality education we were promised. Throughout my time at the institution, I was disappointed by the conduct of the owner and certain administrators, which I found unprofessional and dismissive of student concerns. I enrolled in this program to expand my knowledge of skincare, especially to better understand and help others dealing with acne, something I personally struggle with. At the start of the program, my skin was stable with only post inflammatory redness, but as the program continued and we were required to perform and receive multiple facial treatments daily, my skin became increasingly irritated, inflamed, and damaged. I was following a treatment plan from my dermatologist, and the required treatments at school directly conflicted with that plan. I communicated my concerns to instructors and provided two dermatology notes clearly stating I should avoid both basic and advanced treatments. Despite this, my concerns were not taken seriously, and I was even told by the owner, "I wish I terminated your registration." I was told I did not trust the school's ability to treat my skin, and my medical documentation was dismissed. Instead of working with me to find a reasonable solution, I was told I would have to work on a mannequin for the rest of the program because it was considered "unfair" for me to perform services on others without receiving them. I suggested alternative solutions that would have allowed me to continue gaining hands on practice in a fair way, but all were rejected without consideration. As a result, my ability to practice was extremely limited. I could only work on others if I brought in my own clients or was assigned clients by the school. The owner told me I would be prioritized clients provided by the school, due to my situation, but over the six month program, I was given only six clients, which is far below what is needed for proper training. This felt discriminatory and retaliatory, especially since my situation involved a documented medical condition. I enrolled to receive an education, not to have my medical needs ignored or to lose learning opportunities I paid for. I also noticed a lack of accountability from the owner, as student concerns were often dismissed or redirected instead of properly addressed. The program itself seemed disorganized, with instructors often unaware of the daily schedule and structured lecture days rarely happening as promised, making the education feel inconsistent and insufficient. Additionally, the school has two buildings within walking distance, but students were not allowed to eat lunch in the main break room or the second building, which had a small kitchen and microwave. Instead, students were told to eat in their cars or go out to eat, which is unreasonable, especially during the winter months. It also became clear that the school places a strong focus on retail sales and upselling services, often at the expense of education. Students should be aware that a large portion of required client hours may depend on bringing in their own paying clients. Considering the high cost of the program, it is unreasonable to expect students to pay tuition, an additional $800 for a student kit, and also recruit clients who must pay for services. In my opinion, this does not reflect a student focused environment but rather one that prioritizes revenue. I strongly advise anyone considering this school to carefully read reviews and notice the unprofessional and manipulative responses from the owner. Administration encourages feedback, but when it is given, they often shift blame onto students instead of taking responsibility. While there are more concerns I could mention, these are the most important issues I experienced. I encourage anyone thinking about enrolling to carefully evaluate their options and make sure they are investing in a school that values education, professionalism, and student support over profit. read more

I discovered Lillique a while ago when it wasn't so popular. I was very skeptical of going to an institute to get a facial but decided to give it a shot. It was great. Of course it is no spa service but the students definitely tried to make it as close to an actual spa service as they could. It is about 50 mins from my house on a good day so I didn't go as frequently as I would have liked but still managed to go every few months. My appointment for microdermabrasion last year was a bit different. The student did a pretty decent job but we were done in 30 mins which was new to me. There were no massages, not much on what was being done and why. I figured it was probably a one off (expected from a student in training) and went on with my day. Fast forward to my appointment yesterday. I was running late for my appointment and they kindly not only accommodated my arrival time but also helped me navigate and find my way to the institute. The student took me in less than 5 minutes. All good up to that point but once I went to the back it all changed. What happened to the change of top they used to provide? And if they weren't going to provide a top why don't they let us know in the appointment reminder so we can wear tube tops or tank tops? The student asked me her usual questions but cut me off literally every time I spoke. Not so great and she definitely needed to work on her listening skills. She was pleasant with me overall so I don't have any complaints with her. My real issue was with the very rude and loud teacher who really didn't have much going on in the leadership department. For the record she was fine with me but her attitude towards the students was VERY irritated and condescending. She called them out every chance she could and disciplined one of the students in the room with the guests present on how she had touched a guest's face without gloves. The student working on me didn't really listen to her but with that attitude I wouldn't want to listen to her either. The treatment again only lasted ~30 minutes with literally no massages ever. I could slap creams and serums on my face at home in less than 30 minutes and call it a day. I have never reacted to glycolic acid before but as of yesterday the burning and stinging in my skin still hasn't completely gone. To the trainer: take notes on students and address them in private. Don't embarrass 'humans' in public - you are destroying their self-confidence and leaving the guests wondering if they are in the right hands. If the student doesn't know the ingredients in the product help her out in front of the guest but discipline her in private. I also don't need to know that another student wasn't following hygiene protocols. That conversation totally could have happened in another room. Now the rest of us were laying there wondering why we were there in the first place. So basically, I drove 2.5 hours back and forth to hear a dictator barking annoyed orders at her students for 30 minutes. I think I am done with Lillique. It was great when they cared about how they ran their business but clearly its all about the volume of students now. Most importantly, as a woman and as a human, I value respect and if someone in a somewhat higher position doesn't know how to help their students then I would rather not give them my time. read more

I found this place on Groupon and my first appt had to be rescheduled because I had Botox in less than two weeks from that date. My second appointment was actually awesome - the student had been an aesthetician for over a decade and was getting further certifications. She was phenomenal, she was supposed to still be attending the school and I made a third appointment. On my third appt, the previous student was not there and I had someone that has no idea what she is doing. She was supposed to do extractions and barely did two on my nose. The "peel" was not a peel. She put a layer of something on my face but it did nothing. When I was checking out and paying $45 for really nothing, a woman asked how I felt the service was and I told her that I was disappointed and she had all these reasons and excuses as to why I was wrong. Well, if you didn't want to know, don't ask. Before my appointment last Tuesday, I made appts for two of my children to get facials with extractions today. They have clogged pores from playing sports. This morning at 0902 I get a call from a students phone canceling the two appts. Why is a student taking clients personal information out of the store? The student said he was directed by the owner. They have an automated appt system and they could've canceled it in that manner or an email from Lillique. I'm certain they wouldn't do a good job anyway. Such a disappointment. read more

Let me start by saying, I LOVE LILLIQUE! I've referred friends and family to this establishment and I plan on referring many more. They offer top of the line treatments and products, my favorite being the IPL and microdermabrasion facials, and I'm always impressed with my experiences there. The prices are a steal, and most importantly, the staff and students are very personable and professional. Any questions I may have are always answered. I get a facial at least once a month and I don't see this regimen ending any time soon! PS I completely disagree with the 3 star reviewer. I went here for the Permanent Makeup course... let me just start by saying, if you're interested in any type of programs this school has to offer... DO IT! The teachers are amazing. Miss Mandana and Miss Angela are the most loving, caring teachers ever and will answer any and every question you have. They are so knowledgeable, kind, caring, and hard working. This school is beautiful, clean and take their COVID guidelines very seriously. They take your temperature every morning, make sure to sanitize and disinfect all surfaces before and after class is done. I played with the idea of taking this class for over a year as it is very expensive. Finally I bit the bullet and enrolled for the PMU Course for July. I was weary but excited being that the course teaches microblading ombré brows, eye liner and lips. The first day of the course I had concerns when the owner Madana said we would not be practicing Live pmu on our models for Lips. This was a surprise being as though it's almost 6k and I expected to learn everything. Im BLACK and as a tactic to further convince me why that won't be happening she then told me black people's skin has to be neutralized first and that I would need additional training ($$spend more money with Lillique) to learn how to color a black persons lips?! For 6k I should be learning this being as though I myself am a black artist therefore my clients will likely be people of color. In short I was under the impression that being black meant more work and that entailed more training but 6000 is a lot of money to be told some BS like that. Maybe put lip blush for white clients only in the description of the course ahead of time cause there was absolutely no way I could have expected this. I asked for a refund the first day of class after already investing 3800 and I'm only receiving 2000 back. All this to say Black girls don't waste your money this course is not for us!!! (The instructor for permanent makeup) If you're looking for someone who takes their time, very thorough in their work, consults with you over and over to make sure that as the artist she is fulfilling your needs, very gentle, comforting, outgoing, honest and realistic, amazing reputation and work ethic, artistic and a perfectionist.. THEN BOOK SHEY. All those amazing qualities are her, and her work speaks for itself.. amazing!! She couldn't have done a better job. She has tons of experience, with all ethnicities. But most importantly, she takes her time and doesn't rush. 100% she put into my eye brows, no slacking or being lazy. If something needed to be perfected, she did it. She has so many brilliant and unique techniques, I'm amazed every time I see another client she has done. Shey has worked with the best of the best, all over the world and it SHOWS. I love her. While I was there, the school had rolling admission so a class was added in the middle of my program. This was a little hard because there is only one basic esthetics teacher and having a "one on one" was a little hard. Regardless, we all help each other and there is a lot of hands on.
