I recently discovered The Lillian Wild Walking Path while searching for new walking spots. Surprisingly, despite driving past this area hundreds of times, I had never noticed it. The path, located at Gardiner Lane at Gardiner View Drive, was built by the City of Watterson Park in November 2010. It's named after Lillian Wild, a founding City Council member.
This charming one-sixth mile path provides a car-free space those looking for a peaceful stroll or a safe place to walk a dog. A trash can is present to discard pet waste. As a Tree City USA community, Watterson Park has planted various tree species along the path. Each tree is accompanied by a brick identifying its type, adding an educational element to the walk.
Whether you're a local or just visiting, The Lillian Wild Walking Path is an adorable place to unwind and enjoy nature. read more
