one of the best schools in the state within the top ten after elementary school. you have to understand that everyone at this school is ahead of other people in the way of the world so if they seem stupid to you that's because you're actualy more stupid for not understanding how smart they are. In elementary school it's only harder because they're learning everything but twice and once they get into middle and high school they will have learned everything even more and in two languages thus becoming smarter 3x The theater program is also very highly rated having gotten awards most schools and local theaters couldn't even dream of. would recommend sending your kids. read more

The school is a joke. Their teachers are some of the dumbest people I've ever met. You can tell by the way everything is unorganized and dysfunctional that the entire staff has a low IQ. read more

Full of awful people with a terrible environment. Not a safe place to be truly be yourself unless you fit their mold. Must come from a high financial class to fully benefit in clubs and sports. Constant exposure to gaslighting and emotional manipulation. read more

People researching schools in our district will wonder how I could give a 4 star review to a…read moreschool that chronically ranks low? It's simple: A. This is yelp and it is based off experience. I have the opportunity to be a community partner with Zanewood and have seen the school from the inside this past few months. B. They have a staff and leadership team that care deeply for the school in fact some staff feel called if not compelled to make a difference. I have also met the new principle who came from Obama Elementary in St Paul and she is going to see this school live up to my ranking. 3. I have seen the degree the volunteer services goes to endure kids have the resources necessary to succeed in life and school and have seen a desire to get parents more involved in the school body. 4. Lastly, Brooklyn Park is a cool city with a gritty vibe and embodies everything that is awesome about diversity. There are several great schools in Brooklyn Park and Zanewood is one that pulls from the largest area and represents a student body that has significant needs. The kids here are artistic, dream big dreams and have amazing possibilities. All you need to do is team up and volunteer! This Steam school is on the rise!

While the school presents itself as supportive and accessible, my experience fell far short. Communication across departments was disorganized and often unresponsive. Important information about registration, financial aid, and course requirements was unclear or delayed, creating unnecessary stress. At times, the level of negligence in handling student concerns was surprising and unacceptable. The quality of instruction and student support was inconsistent. Some instructors were helpful, but others seemed disengaged, which made it difficult to stay confident in the education being provided. Advising services were especially disappointing, often feeling rushed or misinformed. Overall, my experience with Century College was frustrating and underwhelming. I would recommend that prospective students seriously consider other options that prioritize accountability, clear communication, and student support.
