History

Established in 2004.

Lakes International Language Academy began with 177 Spanish immersion students in grades K-4. We've added Mandarin immersion and instruction for PreK-Grade 12, all with an accredited International Baccalaureate inquiry-based curriculum. As a public school, we charge NO TUITION for K-12.

Meet the Manager: Nancy H.

Nancy Hawkinson is the principal at LILA's Upper School for grades 6-12. She began as the LILA Kinder Prep Preschool Director in 2013 and served in other roles such as Enrichment Teacher and IB Middle Years Coordinator before becoming the principal. She brings a true love for learning, loads of enthusiasm, and a fun Southern drawl to LILA!
