I would have loved to try their services but called during business hours and no one answered. Left a voicemail requesting a call back to schedule service, nobody called. Stopped by and it was closed with nobody inside, also business hours. Good businesses do not run like that. read more

We took a family vacation to Indian Rocks Beach earlier this month and the kids (4 year old girl & 1 year old boy) needed haircuts. My wife found Lil Divas and Dudes online and decided to try them out based on the stellar Google reviews and we're happy we did! Mallary was great with the kids and made their haircuts way less stressful than usual and they looked great afterwards as well. ** Business changed locations and managed to get a new Yelp page. I think our review should follow them and be a heads up to other Special Needs families. It was that BAD of an experience. ** If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had the MOST horrible customer service experience here today. We are in town for a few weeks with my special needs 4 year old and my 17 month old for a special therapy program. This place was recommended to me. I parked right in front of the entrance. No way to not see me unloading two little boys into a double stroller. I walk in struggling with the door. No offer of help or warm greeting. Not even a hello. I asked the woman for two kids cuts and she said "ummm. I can't do haircuts right now. This is my only time for paperwork. You'll have to come back" in the most sour unapologetic tone. First of all your business hours say you are open at 10am and it was only 11:30am. Nothing on the door about being closed or no walk-ins. I told the woman "I'm 7 months pregnant and just unloaded both boys into the double stroller for this. If I leave then I'm not coming back!" How do you turn business away like that? You're too busy with paperwork to do your actual job? She says "oh well, I guess I could do one of them but not both." I pick my oldest who has cerebral palsy and who would get the biggest kick out of sitting in a fire truck. I showed the woman 3 pictures of what I wanted. She pulls out the buzzers and grabs his head in the most uncomfortable hold. She man handled his head the whole time. My son kept looking at me scared and worried but he was a trooper. I kept trying to distract him with the for truck he was sitting in but the haircut was so hasty and unfun that he didn't really get to enjoy any of it. She only spoke to him once otherwise the whole thing was in silence and never once cracked a smile. After it was over she didn't even try to brush the hair of him nor did she even comb his hair! She left out sticking straight up from the last cut with the scissors. She yanked the cape off him and immediately walked away to ring me up for a $17 hair cut... That was obviously the important part to her. Not making a hair cut fun for a little boy who loves trucks and was very cooperative. Still no smile and we left. What a waste of time! Next time I'll just go to Supercuts! I have no idea if this woman is the owner or just works there but she was so unfriendly! We did not get the experience we thought we wouldn't get buy looking online at your pictures. She couldn't even comb or put a little product in his hair. Literally left it sticking up from the last cut! This is an awful business! I will never come back and will post this on every review site I can. That's not how you run a business that caters to kids. Not professional at all. Edit: Within an hour of posting this review on Facebook, the owner as well as one of her friends attacked me personally including questioning whether my wheelchair bound son with Cerebral Palsy was really disabled. They took screenshots of public posts on my FB and posted mocking comments all while saying it proves I'm some sort of liar. I am at a loss as to how debating a child's disability is the type of professionalism that comes from this establishment. All because they had a 1 star review. I had to remove my review due to the harassment and taking it to a level that degraded my 4 year old son. read more

Left very disappointed when a stylist couldn't get curls to hold in my daughter's hair. I feel the stylist needed a different type of curling iron. We even tried a braid and they were unable to do What i was looking for. New location is not as appealing as old location in St. Pete. Looks like they rushed in opening new location. read more

Went to Lil Diva and Dudes for the second time today... They are amazing! I have an 18 month old and Lisa did a great job with him. She was professional and great with kids. :) I will be going back and using Lisa again. They do this great little certificate and phot if it is your child's first hair cut. They did it again!! We just visited their newest location in South Tampa and are pleased once again with our experience. We have now been to all 3 locations (St Pete, Bradenton and Tampa) and each stylist has done a great job cutting my Lil' Dudes hair. Friendly and personable staff, very clean and the cutest decor!! Really like the haircut my son received today. This place is really cool. He loved the car chairs and there was a personal DVD player for him to watch a movie on. It was so fun to see the kiddos walk in excited to pick out their movie and hop into those really fun barber chairs. However some kiddos first haircuts can be scary and I witnessed a few tears. I had the privilege to watch these ladies in action and EVERY kid walked out with a smile and feeling quite proud. Would highly recommend Lil Divas and Dudes. read more

I took my 2.5 year old son here for his first hair cut. First of all, I have to say I had hard time finding a place in Pinellas County that specializes in kids' haircuts. I found Lil' Divas and Dudes and could not get thru to them by phone. It just kept ringing and ringing or I would get a notification that the number doesn't accept phone calls. Turned out that the information on the website is for the place that is no longer in St Pete and the number is wrong. I was so happy when I found the correct number and Mallory answered cheerfully and scheduled my son's appointment for the upcoming weekend. Fast forward to today. We had out appointment this morning. As probably many parents do, in my head I had the first haircut appointment as something very special and a big hoopla with tons of pictures taken and all being about my son. Well... He had a different plan because as soon as we got there he sensed that something was up and started crying demanding we go. I have to say Mallory did incredible job! She kept her cool and just kept working on him. She snipped his curl some time in between my son crying and me trying to calm him down. I didn't even notice it and neither did my son. She is a very professional lady who obviously knows her craft! The entire process took at the most 15 minutes and my son's haircut turned out perfect! He even calmed down by the end of the cut when he saw himself in the mirror and started saying:"Good job! Good job!" to Mallory. We will definitely be returning customers. read more

My daughter has her first ever ballet recital tonight. I called and made an appointment at Lil' divas and dudes on park Blvd last week for 3:00 this afternoon (Saturday, May 12th). I arrived at 2:45 for our 3:00 appointment, and the doors were locked, lights were off, and no sign on the door stating that no one was there or when they would be back. The only sign I saw was the posted hours of operations, which today was 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. I called multiple times, and received no answer. My daughter and I then waited for 20 minutes for someone to arrive. No one showed. I then called and left a message that I showed up for my appointment but no one was there. Terribly disappointed! My daughter was very excited to have her hair and makeup done for her first performance, and I wanted to do something special for her today. Not a great way to run a business, didn't even get a phone call cancelling my appointment or stating it would have to be at a later time. I will not bring my daughter back. read more
