They all said to call back in three days and set up an appointment then. John was the only person willing to come out on the weekend and take a look. It turns out my pipes had frozen in my attic and if I waited three more days, I could have had serious damage done. He explained everything and didn't charge me extra for coming out New Year's Eve to fix it, whereas most people would charge weekend or emergency rates. I gladly recommend him.

Noble (aptly named) is a mom-and-pop business, so its not always easy to get a-hold of him in the…read moremiddle of a work day when he's in somebodies basement fixing a boiler, but don't let that discourage you. Customer service is so much more than having a receptionist and this company is the one you hear your mother talk about; back when things were done right, and a man's word meant something. Sounds hyperbolic? yeah, I thought so too- but this guy delivered, a man who stands by not only his work- but stands behind his product recommendations- even when the manufacturer leaves him holding the bag. I'm still in shock, a very pleasant "are you sure that's what just happened, becasue that's so awesome!' shock. It happens all the time, a plumber believes a manufacturer's claims, thinks it the best product for their clients, installs it in good faith, then the product (in my case the boiler probe) fails. The manufacturer hems and haws about the legal ease in the warranty, stalls, makes unreasonable demands (ship us back the water heater, we'll investigate) and even if they replace the part, the plumber still has to do the work (and at the end of the week feed his family). Its the manufacturers fault, but the homeowner without hot water and the plumber who didn't do anything wrong are stuck in a struggle over who's gonna eat a days labor. Most times the homeowner is left holding the bag, but NOT SO WITH NOBLE! i am happy to say that when Nobel installed the peerless boiler and the probe failed, as soon as we were able to reach him, he came immediately, he worked hard to troubleshoot the problem and despite hours of work, through no fault of his own, he's the one who took ownership of the problem and the end bill was nothing short of a gift. When you need something NOW, i admit it's hard to wait, and you end up calling someone else, because who knows what will happen when you eventually get in touch with the first guy? But I have to say from personal experience, if the first guy is Noble, you made a wise choice. Sit tight knowing he will perform as well as the name implies. I actually went out of my way to find out how to add him to Yelp so that this long established business with time honored traditions of workmanship, integrity and decency doesn't get lost in the modern shuffle.
