Amazing!!!! Definitely a must-do for the holidays. I have seen the billboards and ads but was like it can't be that good and it's like $50 a car...hmm well I am so glad we booked and went. Not only is it insane that you literally are driving into a huge cavern in your own vehicle but the size of it is is ridiculous. Then add in the light shows and it's breathtaking! It's about 12-15 minutes drive at a slow pace and you have light displays from all sorts of known Disney and other companies as well as a laser light show (so be careful if that causes you any medical issues). The price is well worth it!!! Come on out and check it out!

I actually went in the morning so as to avoid crowds. It was still pretty busy though, but being as it is in a cave the time of visit isn't relevant. A perk! You pay about $50a carload, so get a few friends and family together, and it takes about 25-30min. There are some really great displays, and music. Comic characters, superheroes, Star Wars, Bluey, Santa, and other things. All very satisfying! Makes a great memory for little ones. Be sure and check it out, and get tour tix online.

AhMAZING! This was great! ...and even better that it was in a cavern so we could ride through during daylight hours! One of my concerns was getting caught up in traffic, so we came through around 3pm. That was the best decision ever. We were able to take our time, pause to look at something longer, and peruse the lights. Technology is amazing. Some of the displays are very high-speed. The synchronization of lights and music is ......awesome. On top of that you could tune your car radio to a local station that pays Christmas music. I don't know what else to say but, do it. It's worth it. Go early if you can.

This was a really fun place to take the kids. Our friends had a pickup truck, so most of our group sat in the back, which is the best way to see. Tons of different themed displays, including Harry Potter and Mario. It's not a super long activity, but the price is relatively affordable. Overall, the whole family had fun.

Definitely a Midwest thing The drive was longer than we had anticipated and while the light set ups were fairly simple and predictable, it was definitely worth the drive from Cincinnati just for the kitschy holiday fun. Be prepared to wait in long lines most any time of day!

This is a neat experience we did the drive through. The walking tour seems to be the same but that is closed Feb-October Amazing to see something that large

Light show

Drove down from Grand Rapids Michigan to see the light show with my family!!!! Didn't know what to expect and was blown away! Highly recommend getting tickets for the guided tour. You can see so much more of the show.

Very nice and well worth it! They play Christmas music throughout the drive that go along with the various holiday light themes. The drive took us roughly 15 minutes and there's plenty to see. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

So pretty!!

So stunning!!!! We drove through on Christmas Eve at 10am and we were shocked that there was no line! It took about 30 mins to drive through and every second was beautiful!!! 10/10

A bit pricey but worth it. Enough lights to entertain the whole family from grandparents to babies.

This is as very cool! I think it was about 20 minutes or so of a drive through light show. It's a little pricey but done well. The cave aspect added a new aspect of the Christmas light show.

There is so much to take in and holiday music also sets the mood. We met the gentleman who maintains this wonderful display year after year and he was kind enough to speak to us for a few minutes while we checked out the production. (If he ever happens to see these reviews: THANK YOU! For all that you do!). There is a voluntary donation box if a person is compelled to pitch in some cash to help offset the electric bill. Looking forward to this annual tradition as long as the display continues.

The house for years was located on Adams run road in Lousiville has moved over to green manor drive a few years back. Still has the same fun and charm as it did at the previous location. The lights are awesome but the roller coaster is always the main event for me and my kids. It takes about 2.5 minutes for a full cycle but it is well worth the wait. A true holiday tradition me and the kids check out every year. It is also only a few miles away from other local legends off outer loop road in toyland Christmas and blue light show. Plus is a Mile or so away from highview holiday fest awesome lights at highview park. So it is truly in a hotspot for awesome holiday lights exploring and you can make a really cool and fun night in that small few mile radius. One thing I always like to give a friendly reminder to people when it comes to awesome light displays like this is for people to please remember this is in a functioning residential neighborhood and to please be courteous to peoples properties and privacy. It can get very crowded here especially the closer you get to Christmas. So just be patient and enjoy the lights and let everyone else do so as well. Overall very cool and fun tradition my family and I do every year. The owner has a sign where he says donations to help with his lg&e are appreciated. Which I can understand and I don't think that's outlandish as this house has provided holiday cheer for many over the years locally in the louisville area.

You might be familiar with this location for the spectacular selection of plants & garden decor,…read morealong with the butterfly garden... but did you know about the nearly secret children's outdoor play garden!? I brought my daughter here a few weeks ago to see the butterflies after remembering that my son enjoyed them when he was her age. At the time my son was here (years ago), the admission was free. However, it's now $10 per person. I was a bit daunted by this because I thought $10 just to see the little butterfly greenhouse garden was a bit much... .... then after we exited the garden, we stumbled across an amazing children's outdoor play garden! I did not recall seeing this place before and my daughter was absolutely delighted! We loved it so much that we left to go pick up my son and bring him back the same day. They both spent hours playing in the dirt, with the toy food, climbing the structures, making a water fountain, playing in the tent, and so forth. Definitely worth the $10 per person for them to have that experience. We were also blown away by the fun selection of decor and children's garden toys and accessories inside the shop. The employees were super friendly and nice, too. Great spot. Will definitely be back. This place has also inspired me to consider having a garden. Maybe.

Even though we didn't see many butterflies this time, the visit was still wonderful. The greenhouse is full of beautiful flowers and the landscaping is very well done. It's such a peaceful and relaxing place to walk around. We also bought a lemon tree, which became a lovely gift for our daughter. Highly recommend visiting. My boyfriend and I don't often get a real tree because we usually travel for the holiday. This year we decided to get one anyway, mostly at my insistence. I was a little worried about a pre-cut tree because Thanksgiving was so early this year that I figured they'd be getting pretty dry. So yesterday, December 1st, we decided to find a place where you can cut your own. We'd done so in the past, but it has been several years. My boyfriend found Werkmeister through an older Courier Journal article. The article featured multiple places but Werkmeister seemed to be the closest on this side of the river. We prepped the car and put on terrible clothes and shoes since it was a very wet day. I then forced Matt to listen to Christmas music for the 30 minute drive to Shepherdsville. Once there, we learned that they had closed the fields for the year and only had pre-cut Fraser Firs brought in from North Carolina two weeks prior. I was definitely disappointed because we had driven all that way to avoid it. They explained that they only had the fields open Thanksgiving weekend and that a blight has hurt a lot of local tree farmers. It sounds like the fields had to be closed to keep the farm sustainable. The Fraser Firs, which do not grow in Kentucky, were beautiful and still in really fresh shape, despite having been cut and shipped two weeks prior. They had a variety of heights, but every tree was a flat rate of $60. All of them had been trimmed to have a great shape. We decided to get one anyway. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. They trimmed the bottom branches for us, gave it a fresh cut, shook it free of some of the water and loose needles, baled it, and helped us get it in the car. The service was really good. To be honest, it's unlikely we'll be back because we usually travel Thanksgiving weekend, and it's not really worth the drive for a pre-cut tree. But if you are around for Thanksgiving or live in the Shepherdsville area Werkmeister is good choice.

Simply put, Huber's is a machine, a well-oiled machine…read more My wife grew up visiting Huber's several times a year for Christmas trees, pumpkins, fresh produce, and just about everything else the farm has to offer. When she moved me up here many years ago, one of the first places she took me was Huber's. We've been back countless times over the years, and it never disappoints. Our latest visit included my nephew, his new wife, my niece, and her 10-year-old son. My niece-in-law is from New York City and had never experienced life on a farm. (Last year, we took her to pet a horse for the first time!) So when she wanted to go peach and apple picking, Huber's was the obvious choice. Let's just say she and my 10-year-old great-nephew absolutely loved riding the trams and picking fresh fruit. My nephew and niece enjoyed themselves too, even though they both grew up on a farm in Georgia. My wife and I took a more relaxing approach, sampling some of Huber's excellent adult beverage offerings while enjoying the live band. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. All in all, Huber's once again lived up to its reputation as one of the best family destinations around. It offers something for everyone, whether you're looking for fresh produce, family activities, live music, or a great place to unwind. I normally end my reviews by saying, "I'll be back." With Huber's, it's never a question of if--only when. Halloween is just around the corner, and we'll be looking for pumpkins.
