Amazing!!!! Definitely a must-do for the holidays. I have seen the billboards and ads but was like it can't be that good and it's like $50 a car...hmm well I am so glad we booked and went. Not only is it insane that you literally are driving into a huge cavern in your own vehicle but the size of it is is ridiculous. Then add in the light shows and it's breathtaking! It's about 12-15 minutes drive at a slow pace and you have light displays from all sorts of known Disney and other companies as well as a laser light show (so be careful if that causes you any medical issues). The price is well worth it!!! Come on out and check it out!

The wait to go through took quite a while be prepared 1-1/2 to 2hrs we were waiting in the parking lot before the show. Super fun music lots of lights one of a kind light show if you are a Christmas person absolutely go check it out! We drove 3 hrs. Well worth it.

AhMAZING! This was great! ...and even better that it was in a cavern so we could ride through during daylight hours! One of my concerns was getting caught up in traffic, so we came through around 3pm. That was the best decision ever. We were able to take our time, pause to look at something longer, and peruse the lights. Technology is amazing. Some of the displays are very high-speed. The synchronization of lights and music is ......awesome. On top of that you could tune your car radio to a local station that pays Christmas music. I don't know what else to say but, do it. It's worth it. Go early if you can.

This was a really fun place to take the kids. Our friends had a pickup truck, so most of our group sat in the back, which is the best way to see. Tons of different themed displays, including Harry Potter and Mario. It's not a super long activity, but the price is relatively affordable. Overall, the whole family had fun.

Definitely a Midwest thing The drive was longer than we had anticipated and while the light set ups were fairly simple and predictable, it was definitely worth the drive from Cincinnati just for the kitschy holiday fun. Be prepared to wait in long lines most any time of day!

This is a neat experience we did the drive through. The walking tour seems to be the same but that is closed Feb-October Amazing to see something that large

Drove down from Grand Rapids Michigan to see the light show with my family!!!! Didn't know what to expect and was blown away! Highly recommend getting tickets for the guided tour. You can see so much more of the show.

Very nice and well worth it! They play Christmas music throughout the drive that go along with the various holiday light themes. The drive took us roughly 15 minutes and there's plenty to see. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

So stunning!!!! We drove through on Christmas Eve at 10am and we were shocked that there was no line! It took about 30 mins to drive through and every second was beautiful!!! 10/10

A bit pricey but worth it. Enough lights to entertain the whole family from grandparents to babies.

This is as very cool! I think it was about 20 minutes or so of a drive through light show. It's a little pricey but done well. The cave aspect added a new aspect of the Christmas light show.

And what I found was a great local option for my gardening needs. This nursery is so much larger than what, at least, I imagined after passing this on Bardstown Road on many occasions. And it was very well stocked with well manicured and cared for plants. My mother-in-law and I visited together, to help pick out her Mother's Day flowers for our yard. (She lives with us.) So we started at the flowers she was eyeing most, the impatiens. There were several colors present. We also got some geraniums. I can't speak to their prices considering I don't buy flowers often, but my MIL, who likes to garden, said they were in line with what she's seen elsewhere. Frank Otte had some gorgeous hanging baskets that are more my gardening speed. These baskets have a few different flowers planted together -- something a bit different. It also stocks a large selection of pots, yard ornaments, pet memorial plaques, garden tools, landscaping needs, windchimes and more. I also appreciated that they have social distancing signs displayed and are routing guests one-way through the indoor space where everyone pays. I'll be back soon to find more flowers for my home.

The lights are awesome but the roller coaster is always the main event for me and my kids. It takes about 2.5 minutes for a full cycle but it is well worth the wait. A true holiday tradition me and the kids check out every year. It is also only a few miles away from other local legends off outer loop road in toyland Christmas and blue light show. Plus is a Mile or so away from highview holiday fest awesome lights at highview park. So it is truly in a hotspot for awesome holiday lights exploring and you can make a really cool and fun night in that small few mile radius. One thing I always like to give a friendly reminder to people when it comes to awesome light displays like this is for people to please remember this is in a functioning residential neighborhood and to please be courteous to peoples properties and privacy. It can get very crowded here especially the closer you get to Christmas. So just be patient and enjoy the lights and let everyone else do so as well. Overall very cool and fun tradition my family and I do every year. The owner has a sign where he says donations to help with his lg&e are appreciated. Which I can understand and I don't think that's outlandish as this house has provided holiday cheer for many over the years locally in the louisville area.

My boyfriend and I don't often get a real tree because we usually travel for the holiday. This year we decided to get one anyway, mostly at my insistence. I was a little worried about a pre-cut tree because Thanksgiving was so early this year that I figured they'd be getting pretty dry. So yesterday, December 1st, we decided to find a place where you can cut your own. We'd done so in the past, but it has been several years. My boyfriend found Werkmeister through an older Courier Journal article. The article featured multiple places but Werkmeister seemed to be the closest on this side of the river. We prepped the car and put on terrible clothes and shoes since it was a very wet day. I then forced Matt to listen to Christmas music for the 30 minute drive to Shepherdsville. Once there, we learned that they had closed the fields for the year and only had pre-cut Fraser Firs brought in from North Carolina two weeks prior. I was definitely disappointed because we had driven all that way to avoid it. They explained that they only had the fields open Thanksgiving weekend and that a blight has hurt a lot of local tree farmers. It sounds like the fields had to be closed to keep the farm sustainable. The Fraser Firs, which do not grow in Kentucky, were beautiful and still in really fresh shape, despite having been cut and shipped two weeks prior. They had a variety of heights, but every tree was a flat rate of $60. All of them had been trimmed to have a great shape. We decided to get one anyway. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. They trimmed the bottom branches for us, gave it a fresh cut, shook it free of some of the water and loose needles, baled it, and helped us get it in the car. The service was really good. To be honest, it's unlikely we'll be back because we usually travel Thanksgiving weekend, and it's not really worth the drive for a pre-cut tree. But if you are around for Thanksgiving or live in the Shepherdsville area Werkmeister is good choice.

We arrived a little bit early and had lunch at the cafe on-site, which was pretty good, and then we checked in for our tour. What people may not know is that below the gift shop area is where a lot of the barrels and such are. I think our tour guide's name was Ricky and she was very good, I learned a little bit about the distillery. We had chosen the bottle your own experience, which ended up being really unique. At the end of the tour, we got to taste a few of the bourbons, literally from the barrels, and then we got to fill a bottle from one of the open barrels. After that, we put a sticker/the label one, plus one with our name, and another with the back label. Differentiation was encouraged, although we all put them on standardly except for my husband, who had the four of us plus Ricky sign the bottle, which was fun. I believe the tour was $100 each, and just the bottle itself would've been like $80, so for $20 extra, it was a good deal. At the end of the tour, they let us taste a good portion of their wines and other whiskeys and bourbons; I will say their wines were not that great, unfortunately, though there were two that I liked and purchased. They were very generous with the tastings and I don't think there was a maximum number ... I tasted maybe 1/3 of what was on the sheet, aka open for tastings. Overall I would come back here, although I probably wouldn't need to do the tour a second time (it would be fun to see the rickhouses, though).
