Required a second surgery. Then in December of 2007 he told me to "bring in my social security paperwork because he couldn't fix me." With me not knowing he messed up. He kept it a secret for 6 months. I have never recovered. Never will. I tried to sue when I found out, and got screwed again because they were colleagues. This attorney had no plans of filing my suit, and I firmly believe that Emory paid him to stall my case until my statute expired. No one was held accountable. Arachnoiditis, Multiple sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Spondylosis, Costalchondritis, and Roto-Scoliosis. That's what I have to live with because of Emory. And you all have me blackballed. I have called to set up appointments, only to have them canceled or hung up on once my social security number is numb. If anyone should be responsible for my pain management and aftercare, it is Emory. I STRUGGLE to find a doctor to help me and can't or won't. On our first visit to Dr Kornfield my daughter is severely disabled. She saw the Dr who significantly decreased her pain meds. She also saw a counselor who was wonderful but told us on the second visit, she was not sure why Dr. K wanted her to see my daughter. So I want back to the front desk which are the rudest, uncaring personnel I've ever encountered. We were so confused. His nurse getting us to a room had such a bad attitude, I asked her why? She left, then the counselor came in and said he was dismissing us and refused to see us. So when I requested the copy of records, Dr. Kornfield wrote "several staff thought her mom is the one taking her meds. Well, wish I could. First, I cannot have any narcotics while I am nursing, and the other is I AM ALLERGIC TO THEM. I would have gladly done a pee test - no problem there. I had very high hopes of this working because he incorporates a multi-discipline approach which is fabulous. I believe he is a great Doctor. The problem is his staff, especially the one causing us to be dismissed.

When I arrived, I was told I had to take a drug test before being seen, even after explaining that I was not there for pain medication and am not currently taking any. I was simply seeking a consultation for back pain. This requirement was presented as non-optional. Later, my insurance declined to cover the $250 test, as it was not medically necessary. I contacted the billing office in Conyers to explain that I did not request or need this test beyond being told it was required to be seen. While the representative was polite, I was ultimately told there was no recourse and that I must pay the bill regardless. I was then told I am fully responsible for the charge. It is very frustrating to be charged for a service that I did not request, felt I had no choice but to accept and ultimately my insurance company said was not necessary. If you are considering "Precision Spine Care - Marietta", aka Non-Surgical Orthopedics, be aware of possible billing surprises that may also affect you, for what feels like an elaborate profit-making scheme.
