We lost the power for half of our house on Sunday and called a few electricians that advertised they were open. None of them ever even called us back. Luckily, we found Ted. The issue we had was tough to diagnose. He spent the time needed, and was great about keeping us updated throughout the process. I could tell he genuinely cared about solving the problem and getting it done as quickly as possible. His price ended up being much more than reasonable. It was quite generous, especially with it being a Sunday. I recommend him without hesitation. Thank you, Ted! read more

I'm reviewing on behalf of my parents. Ted came over to their newly bought retirement home and did landscape lighting, wiring for a chandelier, wiring for the tv, rewired for Boise surround sound (to have sound in the kitchen, living room and outside). And then he did wiring for cieling fans with new switches. He was very knowledgable, prompt and professional. And the cherry on top he was a fountain of information for my parents who are newcomers to the central coast. We would highly recommend him! read more

We recently hired Ted Sloan of Lighting Technologies to install a transfer switch and hook up a new generator as backup for future power outages. Ted was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, courteous and professional. He promptly replies to all communication. I especially liked the way he patiently explained everything to someone who is unfamiliar with electrical terms. I highly recommend him for any of your electrical needs. Alan Pietsch Arroyo Grande, CA read more

Wow! Ted is fantastic! If you need an electrician, look no farther. After my brother spent an entire day trying to track down a wiring problem in our 30+ year old house (and I'm very lucky to have a brother who can usually fix everything) Ted found it and fixed it in less than an hour. He's nice, kind and has a great sense of humor -a joy to have around. My dad is 83 and has dementia so he can get very upset having both problems with lights not working and strangers in the house. Dad had no problem with Ted and enjoyed talking to him, and is now all smiles because the lights work again. I called for help and in less than 24 hours the problem was fixed. None of the other 3 electricians I contacted have called me back yet. He cleaned up after himself and was extremely careful handling our pictures and and such. Poor guy had to move the litter box to find the problem, but never complained. What are you waiting for? Call this guy now! read more

Installed my Tesla wall charger quickly and effortlessly. It was such an easy transaction. Thank you.

Ted was amazing and highly recommend!! I had a couple minor fixes which he completed very quickly and was affordable. We discussed future options to updating overall lighting in my living room. He had excellent ideas how accomplish improved lighting in a difficult space - open ceiling with several cross beams. Definitely will use Ted again for all our lighting needs! read more

Ted did an excellent job at my home. He installed and updated the lighting, fixtures and switched out the outlets so they are grounded and updated the light switches. His communication skills are excellent and his work orders and invoices are uniquely easy to understand! What's also great working with Ted is that he does quality work on time and stands by his work. I would recommend Ted for any electrical work at your home, business or investment property. read more

Ted has been very helpful with our home addition project. The addition requires moving the overhead electrical service drop to the exterior wall of the new construction. A new solar ready 200A load center (and meter socket) is being installed and the old 100A load center is being "decommissioned" into a junction box in the attic space so new wiring can be installed to maintain all of the current electrical circuits. Ted is knowledgeable and responsive. I highly recommend him! read more

Ted is fantastic! He came to my aid quick and did a superb job in our rental home. He included photos, added suggestions, fixed what needed to be repaired and really treated our home as his own. He made several trips back just to check on things for us since we live 3 hours away and we were dealing with a leaking roof. I will defiantly be using him in the future for really anything I need help with! What a life saver! read more

Ted was great! We needed an outdoor outlet, so we could get a water softener installed. I sent a quote request on Yelp and he got back to me quickly. We made an appointment for the next day for a quote and he showed up on time, and told us our options. Then he came back the next day to do the job. He was knowledgeable and reliable! I would definitely use him again. read more

Ted was awesome to work with! He tried to help me over the phone before even coming out to see if it was a simple fix I could do myself. When that didn't work he was there within an hour on a weekend. He fixed our problem quickly and got us back up and running. I would totally recommend him to anyone! read more

Ted is the BEST...Or as my mother in-law loves to say, "THE GOODS" my husband and I are new home owners and have struggled to find reliable professional help. After receiving and rejecting a few outrages quotes to run a 240V line for a hot tub, we found Ted. He responded immediately to our initial call and was out the next morning to give us a fair estimate of work and supplies. Ted showed up when he said he was going to, completed the job on time (he dug a 50' trench all by himself) and showed up 1 month later when the hot tub was delivered to hook up the electrical. He took the time to explain all the work he did and was extremely friendly and professional. We recommend him to all our friends and encourage you to give him a call, you won't be sorry!! read more

Ted Sloan is the finest electrician we have ever used for our residential needs. We found him ten years ago (maybe longer), and haven't needed anyone else since for our electrical problems large or small. We rate him five stars for everything: Integrity, reliability, fair prices, and his sincere congeniality! Not only that, when have you ever heard of an electrician who made their service available 24-hours daily? Lighting Technologies, once you've had the great service provided by Ted Sloan--you won't want anyone else, we don't! read more

This was my first experience getting electrical work done in my home, and it was a very positive experience. I'm glad I chose Ted to install some portrait lighting as well as correct some issues I had with weird 3-way switches which he was able to fix easily. He's very experienced and knowledgable and i'm happy I found an electrician I can rely on for future projects. Thanks again! read more

Ted is the man!!! I called him about a problem I thought was going to be a big deal and he just talked me through it over the phone....and he solved it. Even though I didn't actually meet him I feel like just the fact he solved my problem over the phone makes me think he is really knowledgeable and he didn't for no charge and was super nice about the whole thing makes me think he has a lot of character. I would not hesitate and will not hesitate to call him for and kind of electric woes I may run into in the future. read more

Ted did an excellent job for me recently. We own a rental unit in SLO and live about 3 hours away. Our tenants complained about lights flickering in the unit. We put out several service requests through Yelp and Ted responded in a very timely manner. He couldn't have been more helpful and easy to deal with. He went over to our condo the next day and and found our wiring to be fine and diagnosed it as a PG&E problem. He called them and had them come out to fix their equipment. He went back to check their work the next day and when he wasn't satisfied, he called PG&E again and spoke to a supervisor and had them return to complete the work! Needless to say, the flicker is fixed, Ted's pricing was incredibly fair and we have a new go to electrician. I highly recommend Ted and Lighting Technologies. read more
