The problem came when the IRS did not post my final payment. I received a bill from the IRS saying that I owed them over $2000. I sent the letter and the proof of payment to them and asked them what happened? They told me that I had to call the IRS to find out why they didn't post my payment. I even reverified that they were not going to make that call for me. My taxes are complicated, and I have had a CPA prepare my taxes and electronically file them every year for the past 30 years. Things like this don't happen often, but when they do THE CPA IS THE ONE WHO CALLS THE IRS ON MY BEHALF!! If there were an error on the preparation of the document, then I would have been at a loss to explain it. I ended up waiting on the phone for 4 hours and was able to get it straightened out myself. However, I am now looking for another accounting firm because this is not the level of service I require. At the same time, as I said, they prepared my taxes accurately, so I don't think it's fair to give them just one star. I'm not sure I would recommend them though, just based upon the fact that they aren't going to help you if anything goes wrong.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn't want to be bothered. The receptionist barely looked up from her phone and acted like answering basic questions was beneath her. They completely botched my taxes. I ended up owing thousands more than I should have because of careless mistakes and sloppy work. When I called to complain, they got defensive and tried to blame ME for their errors. The accountant was condescending, interrupted me constantly, and clearly had no idea what he was doing. I felt like I was paying for amateur hour. The office itself looks cheap and outdated, with a weird smell and uncomfortable waiting chairs. They took forever to get anything done, missed deadlines, and charged me extra fees for "rush work" that they caused. Save yourself the headache and money.
