Everyone seemed to be pretty friendly and the congregation is very diverse and everyone seems to have similar mindsets focused on Jesus. There are multiple seating areas, indoors and outdoors and screens setup so you can watch the sermon and other happenings on screen. And I was scared and frightened of the Lord. I broke away from church and the Lord. Got into drugs really bad, lost everything many times over. My heart was hardened and I was broken. God lifted the veil one day and showed me exactly who I was. Not the cute little gangsta I believed I was. But the REAL me. I started listening to messages on the radio, then youtube, then I started looking for a real live church to go to. Whenever I was in Rehab it always seemed to help. But at Arise, I didn't know what was going on. I started crying, weeping. Like the story where the "woman-prostitute" was cleaning Jesus' feet with her "tears". Now I see how that is possible. Another time I went and up on the screen were like pages of the Bible regarding the crucifixion. It said they spit on Jesus. And when I saw that, I started just crying for my savior. Jesus says, "Love the Lord God with all your heart". I knew then what was happening, I was falling in love, with my Lord God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The presence of God is definately there at Arise !! And his presence changes everything !! Arise has helped me in so many ways and I believe its because of his presence and the hard work of all Godly people who claim Arise as home !!
