Parking is relatively easy though the one way directions were not clearly marked. Walking in, I was greet ed by multiple people. Everyone seemed to be pretty friendly and the congregation is very diverse and everyone seems to have similar mindsets focused on Jesus. There are multiple seating areas, indoors and outdoors and screens setup so you can watch the sermon and other happenings on screen. And I was scared and frightened of the Lord. I broke away from church and the Lord. Got into drugs really bad, lost everything many times over. My heart was hardened and I was broken. God lifted the veil one day and showed me exactly who I was. Not the cute little gangsta I believed I was. But the REAL me. I started listening to messages on the radio, then youtube, then I started looking for a real live church to go to. Whenever I was in Rehab it always seemed to help. But at Arise, I didn't know what was going on. I started crying, weeping. Like the story where the "woman-prostitute" was cleaning Jesus' feet with her "tears". Now I see how that is possible. Another time I went and up on the screen were like pages of the Bible regarding the crucifixion. It said they spit on Jesus. And when I saw that, I started just crying for my savior. Jesus says, "Love the Lord God with all your heart". I knew then what was happening, I was falling in love, with my Lord God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The presence of God is definately there at Arise !! And his presence changes everything !! Arise has helped me in so many ways and I believe its because of his presence and the hard work of all Godly people who claim Arise as home !!

I attended for a bit not really into it and wasn't much of a church goer. By showing up every Sunday I wa always welcome with open arms. Driving in and be welcomed by members smiling and always waving hi. Every Sunday offering us water, coffee, mints. Got familiar with the songs. Even when it felt weird and unfamiliar with it I later found myself singing along and now raising my hand to feel the power of it and god. This church is a note taking church. It helps others who need to follow along and take notes if needed. We like this a lot. Aaron the pastor is absolutely amazing. If you are not at his location you do watch him on a screen. He has a way to help you understand the Bible and how everything is relatable. He is absolutely amazing and make us keep coming back as well. With different teaching this church has helped truly save our marriage. Some of our family back home have watch the live service online and told us how lucky we are to have him. They often get on to watch. What I thought was a way to go and support my husband became a way to save myself. I look forward to coming every Sunday. I hope in the future to be part of their Dream Team and help our community with any involvement we can do. My husband got baptized several months ago. I was respectful and participated in ways I felt comfortable. Anyways when I refused to go to the front to get blessed, 3 of the churchgoers were forcing me to go up. Stating I will be going to hell if I died today. Very strange and gave me cult vibes. A lot of us just went for a turkey that we signed up for and did not even get that after sitting there for hours. In summary, I am a religious person and did not agree with their teachings. And I did not appreciate making us wait almost 6 hours for a $25 voucher. Their intention should have been clear.

My family that doesn't live in Riverview tune in virtually on Sundays on YouTube. Service is quick yet fulfilling. Pastor keeps it real, relatable and relevant. I love the marriage ministry which extends to date nights, trips and marriage conferences. My favorite part of it all is the church's spirit of humility, excellence and service.
