I walked the short .5 miles from the Sheraton Resort & Casino to get some steps in, get lower prices and PR street type food's I'll call it for lack of a better term. I hit the trifecta. I pointed to two cooked food things, whatever they were, and both were delish, one said pollo so I knew that was chicken. The other was some queso name and so that was my 2nd thingie. I could have used my translation app but where's the fun in that(shrug). I added 2, ten oz Medalla Light beers and my bill was $7 and some change. Sheraton can't touch that! Plus this is more adventurous for us mainlanders, IMHO. The place is clean and the walk short and thru a safe looking hood, another trifecta. They have ice cream too. Trust me I have had to get gas every day since the hurricanes for our generator and have been to all of the gas stations in town. No one has EVER underpriced 1st Stop. They are also now taking credit cards post hurricanes. - Very well stocked and clean convenience store with a hot food to go section in the back. They even have a out door patio area to eat your grub. - customer service here is very fast, friendly and helpful - Location! If you're going anywhere in St. Thomas you'll pass this street. The not so great: - Because a lot of people come here for the convenience store and to go food everyone congregates on that patio area and then chats with friends and family in cars getting gas which hold up the line to get gas. The lot is also smaller so it can get tricky to maneuver through when a few people are just gabbing away in the middle of the driveway. So annoying and this is why 1st stop lost a star. Maybe an employee can stand outside and move along traffic and people when there are a lot of customers? Please get someone out there, the hubby and I have actually decided to leave and go across the street to gas giant to pay for more expensive gas a few times because of this.

She said it was closed due to covid-19. I know of no other station that has closed their restrooms because of covid. When you drive 50 some miles, you need a restroom break. I thought it was a law that if you sell food and beverages that you had to provide at least a porta potty. Plus she did not have to be rude, as I was very polite while asking. What is wrong with the younger generation? They have no manners. I will not go back.

I bought their raw chicken thin cutlets for a "clean" source of protein; the cutlets sautéed quickly in my Westin kitchen. Their raw eggs made delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast. This market stocks yummy baked treats that I used for breakfast and afternoon "tea" on my Westin balcony. The selection of food was perfect for me to prepare balanced meals in the limited Westin kitchen (no oven). So glad I could walk here!
