On site, the team were efficient and clean, the place was looked after and all of the work done on time and to budget. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the business owner that I chose to get him to complete other aspects of repair and upgrading to my flat. Then one year on, there was a problem with a light fitting which by now was out of warranty. Not a problem for these guys! Andrew sourced a replacement at no charge to me. I have recommended them to loads of friends as a great handyman service, but also they are a lot more than that, carrying out painting, kitchen fitting, tiling and bathroom repair work with ease and a great finish to all of their work. Two of the three times we've booked him he has cancelled/rescheduled on the day. When he has been here he's been great; efficient and personable. Unfortunately its the cancellations and his lack of flexibility that will prevent me from booking his services again. Despite having booked in over a month in advance, and prepared the flat for the work I needed done, Andrew told me half an hour after estimated arrival time that he wouldn't be able to make it as he had another commitment two hours later. No flexibility was offered in upcoming weekend availability as compensation.Whilst its great a local business is getting enough work to be booked so far in advance, it's a shame, as I would have otherwise been happy to continue using his services. However for somebody with little spare time, who books weeks in advance, I just can't risk being let down again.

All of which have been fitted quickly, look good and work well. Kevin responds to emails quickly and has been able to schedule work within a couple of weeks. I'm sure he'd do things quicker if needed but everything hasn't been urgent or time critical. I got a comparative quote before I got the first lot of work done and Blacklee was a tiny bit cheaper than the other company. Since then I've just gotten an estimate from Blacklee and gone ahead with the work. I have quite a bit more electrical work to be done in the next year and I expect it all to be done by Blacklee. Sorry Kev, you'll need to cope with my love of top floor flats for a bit longer.

We originally wanted 8 but Kevin spoke to us and recommended 12 and have to say the completed ceiling looked pretty cool. He's just away again after upgrading my fuseboard to a more modern one and fitted some LED spots in my kickplates and the work was done well again. A lot of tradespeople are unreliable but I've found Kevin to be punctual (sends a text when on route if requested) and happy to explain how things work. Additional marks for cleanliness - they even vacuumed my floor which was most pleasing!
