The Wonder Years checks all the boxes you could want or need. Their staff are more dedicated and love their jobs and it shows. The teachers here are like a family. I trust them because I know they genuinely care about each child and show love to them while developing and teaching at the same time. The facility itself is super clean, and I have been to two daycares/schools in Westfield, and this is by far the cleanest and most sanitary of them all. The children are all wonderful, it's a safe environment, and they even have a great outdoor playground for children of all ages. They also make the environment a positive atmosphere that I honestly believe will allow my child to be excited to be in school and learn. My daughter has also come home with so many fun projects to show us. I truly could not think of anything The Wonder Years does not offer in the growth and development of my child. I am so thankful and happy that we found the Wonder Years.

He has been in two different rooms so far and both of his main teachers have been/are wonderful. We do early drop off in the morning and everyone who is with him in the morning is very sweet. The director is kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure the kids and parents are happy. I have noticed so many positive changes in my son's development since he started attending. They encourage/follow what you do at home which makes it easier for the kids. The facility is clean and spacious. As a mom, there is nothing better than knowing your kid is happy every day, even though you can't be with them.

Prior to the pandemic, my oldest daughter had attended the school, so I am able to compare. My first daughter's pre-pandemic experience there was good, however my second daughter's experience was terrible. It started with a few months after enrolling her there I found out for two months they had been serving her the frozen lunch I was sending her to school with. They were no longer heating up lunches in the microwave like my first daughter. I found out from my second daughter telling me why she didn't eat her lunch "it was too cold." For two months they had been giving her frozen chicken nuggets and it was my fault (after confronting them) because we did not see the message that lunches were no longer being heated. Next, when I would pick up my daughter the teacher, or helper was coming out and saying she had a bad day today. I was clueless until after a few weeks of this she refused to go back (and I mean refused). She had lost all confidence to go anywhere or see any strangers. It was terrible. We took her to see help and we were told that she had gone through a regression, like a three-year-old going back to a one and a half year old. Confronted the school and they said it was her fault, she doesn't listen and goes around the classroom. That sounded like all three year old to us. We asked the school for her teacher to meet us and show affection to her, but she was cold to her. We felt so bad for her we took her out of the school. It took us months to bring her confidence and self esteem back. When I grew up a three year old was accepted unconditionally and supported to stand on their own. Not so at this place.

People from Child Services investigated and were very suspicious. We'll never know what happened because there're no cameras and my son can't testify (he's 2 years old and barely speaks). He had to wear a cast on his leg and belly for two months, he couldn't walk, he couldn't sleep well, he got extremely constipated due to lack of movement and one leg is now shorter than the other one. You'd be better off keeping your child at home!

I was so nervous Monday to bring my baby to daycare, and now by Friday, I am not anymore. Of course, I miss him, but I know he is in good hands. I get pictures and updates texted to me during the day, which also is a big help to put my mind at ease. They have been so wonderful with my baby, and he is all smiles when I bring him in. The rates are also very reasonable, which was important to me as well. Zee, Fariya, and Jill are so great! They are good with all the kids there, and the place is so clean. I strongly recommend this place to all moms for their child, especially if you are a new mom like me, and want to make sure you precious newborn is well taken care of. Feel free to message me with any questions.

One of the things I really appreciated was the camera access to my daughter's classroom--it gave me peace of mind being able to check in throughout the day. Not only was the quality of care excellent, but Cradles to Crayons was also one of the most affordable options we found in Union County. That balance of affordability and trustworthy care is hard to come by, and I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe and nurturing environment for their child.

Security: First and foremost, I want me kids to be safe. There are double-doors in front, each with its own lock, and someone at the front desk. There are cameras everywhere, so there is accountability at all times when it comes to my kids (this has never been an issue with the staff, but more if my kid trips and falls, footage can be reviewed to verify what happened and reported to me). 2. Care: The staff is simply wonderful. They genuinely care for the children and get to know them on a personal level. There are many long-tenured caregivers, which speaks to it being a good place to work, which shows in the engagement with the children. To a person, everyone has been so great with my kids, I couldn't ask for more friendly, compassionate and dedicated people to spend so much time with my kids. 3. Development: While they follow a sound curriculum, they really meet my kids where they are. I have worked collaboratively with their teachers on milestones that were different timing for my kids vs. others (potty training, social skills, etc.) and they are great partners in harnessing my children's strengths and helping them achieve their development goals. 4. Reliability: They are well-staffed and very well run, so there has never been an issue with not being able to provide care. Even with inclement weather, they have only been closed when it was truly warranted. 5. Peace of mind: I simply don't worry about my children when they are at Cradles to Crayons, because I know that they are in good hands.
