They're more along the lines of a more decadent vegan meal, but... every single thing I had was perfectly done. Delicious, well-flavored, and interesting. I started with one of their coconuts-- with milk thistle tincture and chlorophyll. It was good, perfectly cold. Enjoyed the olives for a starter-- generous portion but at $9 still scary. $21 for a very small Caesar salad was also scary. Yummy, but scary for how tiny the portion was. Enjoyed a turmeric latte-- delicious. And also a cacao maca latte-- even more delicious than the turmeric latter. Both were some crazy price as well. $65 for a dinner for one. Not much food. Luckily, I wasn't that hungry. Note: they DO NOT have free wifi or wifi of any kind-- which is disturbing given the touristy nature of Byron Bay, but alas. For whatever reason, nope. The waiter and manager were exceptionally nice-- really lovely people. I will go again, not look at the prices, and enjoy the food. :)

We're from central coast and there is hardly any vegan options so it was a great feeling knowing everything on the menu was vegan. The nachos and burger we had was absolutely delicious and the mock tails were soooo yummy. The staff was also incredibly nice and welcoming! Highly recommend!!!

I had a coconut martini which was salty, a bit sweet, and had a lychee. A super fun drink at a great price. My husband had a good pale ale, at a great price. We didn't want to drink on an empty stomach so we had the beetroot ravioli which was very tasty and fresh. I loved the almond and pesto oil garnish. Would definitely come back for a dinner!

I made a last-minute reservation a few days before, and we came here around 5ish on a Saturday night. Our server was friendly, efficient and gave us some menu recommendations. The vibe of the restaurant is trendy and has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered five dishes to share between the two of us, which was honestly too much food. The food here is completely vegan, though they have some menu items like the duck pancakes, which contain fake meat. From the dishes we ordered, the eggplant pull-a-parmi and the tomato tartare were standouts. We got some fried tofu that was pretty mediocre and I would not recommend this. Would recommend to anyone visiting or living in Byron Bay, whether you're vegan or not.

OK so normally I don't like these trendy super-schmick kinds of places (of which Broadbeach has…read moremany) but the food here was REALLY REALLY good. And this is a burger place. And I'm a vegan. I was vacationing on the Gold Coast with my parents, and we went in here for dinner on a whim because we were dressed pretty casually and they looked a little more forgiving of boardshorts and flip-flops than the other trendy dinner spots nearby. At first I had my reservations about whether or not I could eat anything here, but when I told the manager I was vegan, he didn't even bat an eye. He said they have two veggie burgers on the menu, neither of which uses egg in the binder. He volunteered this information on his own -- I didn't even have to ask, which definitely shows he's knowledgeable about veganism, because most restaurant proprietors have no clue that a lot of veggie burgers use egg. There are two veggie burgers -- the Eats Roots and Leaves ($14.50, red lentil and chickpea patty with coleslaw and tomato relish) and the Magic Mushroom ($12, mushroom patty with lettuce, red peppers, feta, and garlic ailoi). He told me the Magic Mushroom could be made vegan without the feta and aioli, but I'm not a mushroom fanatic so I opted with the Eats Roots and Leaves, which was DELICIOUS. All the flavours just melded together perfectly, and the patty stayed together perfectly, no crumbling. The bun wasn't too scratchy or hard (like some burger buns in Oz are) and it was a very filling dinner with a side of fries for under $20. My parents also enjoyed their (meaty) burgers and fries. Make no mistake, this place is a drinking establishment too -- as evidenced by their splashy cocktail and wine list, and the raucous (possible hen's party) group of women enjoying their bevvies next to us. So you don't have to have a meal here to enjoy this place (although the food really is great.) The atmosphere is...well, Broadbeach. Trendy, shiny, and all those other adjectives. A splashy mural was painted on one wall, depicting a typical Gold Coast beach scene (including bikini-clad maidens and ibis stealing food), and some of the seating areas had swings suspended from the ceiling as chairs! I wanted to sit at a table with swings, but my parents weren't keen and the hen's party swooped in and seized them anyway. The place is buzzing, it's trendy, it's very Broadbeach-y -- but the food is delicious and it's a fun place, and I love that they are so accommodating for vegans.

Tucked away in the swanky strip of bars and restaurants along Oracle Boulevard in Broadbeach, this place is a pleasant surprise. Pleasant because it's welcoming and hip at the same time - not an easy trick to pull off - and surprising because the food is actually reasonably priced while also being delicious. I like everything about this joint. For a start, there's a wide array of seating to suit just about any group. Tables inside and out to suit parties of all sizes, a couple of comfy couches, an actual bar with bar stools in case you're on your own, and even a few swing seats hung from the ceiling (haven't seen that before). The bar is well stocked with an excellent array of beers from the crafty to the usual suspects, and a wine list of similar merit sits comfortably alongside what looks a handy offering of cocktail choices for those that way inclined. I enjoyed the 'Cow Pig Cow' burger but there's one for every taste, including fish and vegie options, and other nibblies for those not in the burger mood. Get there.

A joke of a punishment for the crime. On video you can see this sick man speed up in a Audi, intentionally, to hit a child on a bike on the side of the road out of traffic. He proceeds to scream at the child, while the child pleaded for his life. I hope karma does her magic. Even more concerning is how Mr. Wright seemed to justify his actions by blaming the child's bike as "illegal," rather than genuinely acknowledging the danger and illegality his own driving posed. I expect higher ethical standards and community responsibility from anyone at the helm of a hospitality business. While the restaurant itself may serve somewhat average food or drinks, I personally cannot support an establishment whose leadership shows such disregard for safety and empathy--especially when a young child's wellbeing is at stake. Until clear accountability and genuine remorse are demonstrated, I'll be dining elsewhere. If you care about patronizing businesses that reflect your values, I would encourage you to consider taking your money and support elsewhere, too. The experience at these venues sucked before these events occurred too, every other option nearby provide a way better experience. Terrible for family photos.
