I asked I was looking for activities and information. I was walked to a wall of flyers where she explained the activities that are available and asked for what are some of the interests. They have painting, exercise classes, lunch, bingo, day trips, hula dancing, line dancing and soo many more like music classes and technology classes. I was pleasantly surprised by all that they offer and about the staff working that day. I will definitely encourage my family member to attend as I believe she will really enjoy herself and most importantly the staff appears to be friendly and welcoming. This can sometimes be a bit intimidating for our senior community when trying out new things.

Woo, rockin' the Senior Center! A coworker of mine took up line dancing a few years ago and she…read morelooked like she was having so much fun I wanted to try it out. She mentioned that she got her start taking a Lakewood Parks & Rec class at this place so I signed up. $40 for 8 weekly 45-minute sessions. So far I've attended three classes and I'm really enjoying it. The instructor, Janet, is really nice and fun and the 45 minutes just fly by, learning dances like Waltz Across Texas, Cowboy Hustle, and the El Paso Cha Cha. If you're looking for a Zumba-like workout this isn't it, but I do break a sweat and I figure any hobby that gets you moving is a good one! For the record, I am not a country music fan, but I don't mind it for this type of dancing. The Center itself is very nice, located in a quiet residential area near the corner of Lakewood and Candlewood. There is plenty of parking and we have our class in the spacious Activity Room. The best part has been feeling like a young whippersnapper (even though I'm 40) because most of my classmates are quite a bit older than me, hee hee!

It was a ball like literally a ball. They had music and dancing everybody dressed in their festive green colors. Food was delicious, corned beefhash, cabbage, carrots raisins pineapple , carrot Jell-O and milk. I've always been drawn to older people my whole life. I just have good taste. Of course I had a wonderful time making new friends because my social muscle works the best. Going back next month first Monday for national puppy day ! They're going to have puppy adoptions. For national puppy day ! I can't wait to cuddle with puppies.

Each of the employees were caring and helpful people that I learned to love for how well they took care of him.
