I've been going to Aanana on and off since they opened several years ago…read more The staff are always polite and friendly, and the prices reasonable. I've had facials, as well as waxing, threading, and eyelash/eyebrow tinting. I went in today for an upper lip thread and eyelash tint. Some wires were crossed and the technician thought I wanted my eyebrows threaded as well. Since they probably needed it, to be honest, I had it all done. I was in and out in 20 minutes, and spent the princely sum of £19. My eyebrows and upper lip were done super fast, and from what I can tell, were done well. I had a new person today, someone who's only been there a few weeks. I hope she stays! They do tend to have a fairly high turnover of staff. My eyelashes are fine, but it is a bit messy. The bit of skin transfer though will be mostly gone after I shower and cleanse my face tonight, so I'm not worried. It's just worth pointing out as if you were hoping to go out right afterwards, you might find you're a bit raccoon-eyed. I called today at 2pm, and was able to get an appointment at 5pm, so I can't really complain! I did have to leave a message and get called back, as they don't have a receptionist who sits at the desk all the time, but that's okay. Aanana aren't going to change your world, but they will make you look a little more polished!

I've been to this beauty salon a number of times and I really don't know why I've gone back…read more Their health and safety is terrible. Every time I've gone for a wax the therapist has never worn gloves. I had my eyebrows done and the girl hadn't even washed her hands because they stank of marmite and it even made my skin smell of marmite after the treatment which was repulsive. I swore I would never go back, but my current beauty therapist had to cancel on me before my holiday, which meant I needed to book a bikini wax with someone else. I strictly wanted sugaring waxing because of my sensitive skin and Tan & Beauty are the only other salon I know of who offer this. When I called I strictly stated sugaring waxing. When I went in for the treatment I confirmed I was having a sugar wax. The girl started the wax and actually used hot wax, which is a completely different treatment. She clearly thought I didn't know the difference, however I have an NVQ Level 2 in beauty therapy. To add insult to injury she tested it on her wrist, said it was far too hot, then only waited a matter of seconds before testing on my skin. It was far too hot, burned me, and then she waited only another minute before testing on me again. It was again far too hot. As she took the wax off it ripped my skin and I started bleeding (as I said before she wasn't wearing gloves so she could have caused an infection or passed anything she was carrying to me). As a result I asked her to switch to the regular wax. She did a bad job and left quite a few hairs. To her credit she did ask if it was OK, but I was so traumatised by the experience I didn't want her to continue. To make matters worse I have now been left with 3 ingrown hairs, despite exfoliating. I have also gone in for a spray tan and was not asked when booking if I'd had a spray tan before and therefore was not told to avoid moisturising, so I was left with a blotchy tan and then told off by the manager (who did the tan) for wearing moisturiser and causing the blotchy tan! Not a great look on holiday! Please do yourself a favour and avoid, avoid, avoid!!

I use these for regular botox and beauty treatments and i love going there evertime! All of the…read morestaff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming carrying out professional and brilliant treatments everytime. I will definitely carry on using them!

Beware of permanent facial scarring!…read more I paid over £300 for a special package of three sessions of "Dr Pen" for the face and neck at the beauty clinic in Hounslow, Bath Road. The first red flag for me was during my first session with a beautician at the clinic... From the start, it was all very rushed and unprofessional; within a couple or so minutes into the treatment, I was informed my forehead was bleeding more than it should, however I was reassured everything was fine, and treatment continued. Second red flag was she only took ten minutes altogether on my face and neck, only covering some parts of my face and neck. I questioned why some parts to my face and neck were left untouched, to which she responded with "I did treat all the face and neck" I then politely asked why the session lasted only ten minutes to which she responded with "Well that's all the time you needed" even though I pinpointed clearly areas that evidently had not been touched after looking in the mirror, yet she refused to acknowledge this. Third red flag was only within a few days after the treatment, when swelling had slightly subsided, pit scarring was visible all over my forehead, specifically in one region with three fat rounded needle punctured track marks that stood out the most, side by side in a row, to my horror I was disfigured and cheated out of my money. The same day upon noticing this, I phoned in and asked to be seen. I was seen eventually seen by the same beautician at the clinic. She took me into a private room and sat me down. I shared my concerns with her this is where the gaslighting began, after me directly showing her the pitted scarring, she responded in saying that she could see nothing wrong with my skin and that these were only "enlarged pores." She was rude all the while I was polite and respectful throughout the whole conversation, and was also close to tears, because of her indirect mocking, i.e her stance, tone of voice and her choice of words. Fourth red flag was when I directly asked her for a full refund, I was refused straightaway by her. I then politely asked for a partial refund and I was yet again refused even though my two other sessions were paid for in advance. Fifth red flag was when she was reassuring me to continue with another session of Dr Pen with her, I asked politely (Knowing full well I wasn't going back to finish my treatment with her) if I could see her paperwork before we continue with treatment to reassure me that she's qualified in treating people with the needle device ( Dr Pen) to which she responded "if you want to see my papers, you'll have to go through your solicitors for that" Her tone was passive aggressive with an untouchable demeanor. This was all insult to injury which added to my trauma. Sixth red flag is advertising free Microdermabrasion treatments within the clinic under the requirement that you have to post a good review on their services. You'll see their leaflets at reception if any are left. So if you see good reviews, don't let that fool you. I don't care in having any of their other beauty treatments that were offered to me as an alternative to Dr Pen, I wouldn't risk more damage to my skin. I have lost my money but learnt a valuable lesson, check people's credentials before allowing them to touch your skin.
