It took us weeks to unravel this and I never did receive death certificates from the funeral home but had to order them through the state. You cannot do anything without the death certificates and it took me almost 2 months to get them. Do not use either of these companies!

Due to COVID-19 concerns Mother's large extended family that live in California, Hawaii and Arizona were not able to attend her funeral. Upon the initial meeting with the funeral director, we asked if others would be able to view the service. We were told no problem - "they did it all the time". We were also told the service would be available online for a period of time after the service. Imagine our surprise when the funeral director showed up with her personal cell phone and a flimsy tri-pod to film the service. This failure was hugely significant as we could have arranged for a professional videographer to film and stream the service. The video was completely unsuccessful and no one could hear the service. It was so inadequate that it could not be viewed later online either due to the sound quality. Phone calls were made to the office during the service but to no avail. There were many many more issues with the services received. I sent a letter to the General Manager on June 23, 2020 explaining what had occurred and our extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of Mother's service. My two aunts each sent letters around that same time as well. We are now in October - none of us have received a response to our letters. There are no "do-overs" in these types of situations, but I would have expected far better from a long-time Tallahassee business. They are in serious need of new management and personnel, and their customer service is abysmal.

I went in April 1, paid for everything no balance was left I was told that day she will be going to be cremated that day or next, so why did Tommy (Thomas) call me April 29, telling me she have not been cremated as of yet because of documents was not complete but we went over everything so my sister have been on ice no calls until you notice she still there, I have been calling asking have she been cremated since April it took a month for ya'll notice a mistake. All there want is money, don't care about the living or the death. After weeks waiting for someone to call me I call on May 5, asking have she been cremated put me hold and said yes she ready so when was they going to call me and let me know I could come and get the ashes(never). So when I got there I was not happy. While waiting in the lobby its how caring they are and I was thinking they took that off of someone else site because Strong and Jones don't care, will not return phone calls it is so sad the way I was treated so I cannot tell any one to go to Strong and Jones.
