My 3 sisters and I (all of us over 50, but fairly athletic) had a wonderful wine country bike tour last fall with Life Cycle. We pretty much turned the planning over to them with the exception of choosing to stay in a historic hotel in Calistoga (the town threw in a free Halloween night parade down the main street for our entertainment) and a fantastic bed and breakfast for the other nights of our stay. We also had them arrange for our lunch at The Culinary Institute of America, another very unique and fabulous experience. The equipment was great. They supplied everything you could possible need for bike touring except the leg muscles. The staff was wonderfully accomodating and took great care of us. They had planned a beautiful tour as per our specifications, but they were very tolerant when we decided to chuck the planned tour and do our own thing one day. All we had to do is give them a call and let them know where we were and they came and picked us up and took us where we were supposed to be for the night. Every morning a staff member was there to make sure our equipment was in top shape before the days ride and give us some further information about the options for that day. They were readily available by phone all day in case we needed any assistance and they were always so darn cheerful, you wouldn't believe that they were working. They acted like all of this was just great fun for them. Since I was the planner for this sister event (done in honor of our mother who had passed away earlier in the year and who loved for her "four girls" to be together), and because the sisters literally lived all over the US, I really appreciated the fact that Life Cycles took care of everything so completely. All we had to do was bike, eat, and drink a lot of wine. Incidently, I highly recommend late October for touring. The weather and the scenery were both spectacular and there were a lot fewer tourists to clutter the roads. I and my sisters all highly recommend this tour goup. read more

We just completed a 6 day / 5 nite bike tour in the Willamette Valley that we booked through LifeCycle Adventures .... The pre-trip process was great - Stacey was very patient to answer all of our questions and to work with us as our dates & the number in our party changed. Once we "locked in", Stacey & Megan sent us tons of helpful information so we could both plan for and be prepared for our trip. Justin was a pleasure ... he contacted us the day before the start of our trip to make pick up arrangements and then joined us for a cup of coffee before we headed out. Justin conducted a thorough "pre-trip" bike fitting, route briefing and map overview before sending us on our way. He caught up with us a couple of miles into the trip just to make sure our bikes didn't need any further adjustments. Justin also texted us a couple of times during the week to make sure we didn't need anything and caught up with us on our route one day just to check on us. At the end of our trip, he was on time and ready to load us up when we arrived in Molalla. Great support!! Stacey was also great during the trip to stay in touch via e-mail in order to check on our progress, make sure our expectations were being met and to ensure we didn't need anything. We just returned from a 5-day bike tour in the Columbia River Gorge that we booked through Life Cycle Adventures. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had! We are already dreaming about our next trip with them. The cycling was challenging and fun, the scenery was amazing, and accommodations and dining just what we'd hoped for. Justin picked us up with our bike and luggage took us to the start of the first day, then provided us with clear directions and suggestions for option rides, and we were on our way. Each afternoon as we arrived at our B&B or lodge, our bags and friendly faces were waiting. He was always just a phone call away if we needed anything. We chose the self-guided option because we are experienced cyclists but decided to count on the company to plan our routes, help pick our lodging, and transport our luggage. Our trip was tailor made for us and we couldn't have been happier with how flexible and accommodating Stacey and Meghan were every step of the way during the planning. During the trip, each day, we could chose when to leave in the morning, which ride options to take, and how often to stop along the way. It really was the perfect amount of support for us, and we would highly recommend this company to others seeking a fantastic cycling vacation. read more

Life cycle adventures was our first experience with a bike tour company. We rode three days through Sonoma Valley wine country, through redwoods, and onto ocean coastline--amazing scenery and outstanding ease for us. Each day our luggage was picked up from the hotel or B and B, and Stephan--our terrific guide--went over the day's ride and options before he proceeded to take our luggage to the next stop. The maps and suggestions for food and interesting wineries were extremely helpful. Stacey and staff planned a wonderful trip based on what we wanted to see, how far we wanted to ride daily, and within the budget we needed. And we loved our Trek bicycles! We'd do another trip with LifeCycle again in a heartbeat. read more

My wife and I have just returned from the States having had a fantastic cycling holiday with Lifecycle Adventures. Our comparators are exclusively european based and I have to say the offer and the service given by this company are exceptional. The team that moved us around were fantastic - knowledgable, friendly and helpful - for example, adjusting pick up times and set down times to our hotel in San Francisco at the beginning and end of the trip was real added value. The bikes, equipment and guidebooks/maps were all top notch. The Company are now opening up other routes in Oregon and we are looking forward to using this company again. read more

I surprised my husband with a cycling trip to California wine country for his 40th birthday through LifeCycle Adventures. We were truly impressed with our guides' tremendous knowledge of the area and their friendly and helpful tips. We felt like we knew exactly where to go, what not to miss, and the maps and directions were excellent. Accommodations were outstanding, also.
