Very Disappointing Experience - Poor Communication, Canceled Service, and No Accountability…read more
On October 8, 2026, I contacted Another Perfect Move in Atlanta to inquire about renting a moving truck. The gentleman who answered simply told me they did not offer rentals and hung up before I could ask my next question. I called back and explained that there was no reason to end the call so abruptly because I was also interested in getting a quote for their moving services.
After receiving their initial quote, I explained that the price was outside my budget, especially since I already had people available to help with the move. Shortly afterward, I received a call from the company offering me a price $50 lower. I explained that it was still more than I wanted to spend. They contacted me again with an even lower offer. At that point, I told them I needed to discuss it with my husband before making a decision. After speaking with him, I called back and agreed to move forward with their offer.
I was informed that because I was confirming later in the day, the movers would arrive later than originally expected. I completely understood and agreed to that. However, the arrival time continued to change, and communication became increasingly frustrating. There were some misunderstandings during our conversations, but rather than acknowledging how the situation was affecting me, the company seemed more concerned with defending itself and reminding me that it had offered a discounted rate.
What makes this experience particularly upsetting is that I rearranged my entire day and canceled a work shift based on the expectation that my move would be completed. Time is money, and losing a day's income is not a small inconvenience. Eventually, after spending much of the day trying to coordinate with this company, my moving appointment was canceled. By that time, it was too late for me to secure help elsewhere, leaving me with no choice but to postpone my move until Friday.
To put things into perspective, I only had one room of belongings left to move, and the destination was approximately 15 minutes away. I also had additional help available, so their movers would not have been responsible for handling everything themselves. This was not an unusually large or complicated move.
What bothered me most was the complete lack of accountability. Instead of recognizing the inconvenience their scheduling and cancellation caused, they repeatedly focused on how many times I had called and what they claimed I had been told. Let me be clear: I would not have continued communicating with this company had they not repeatedly contacted me with lower offers to earn my business. I even have two voicemails documenting their calls and pricing offers.
Had they simply accepted my original decision that their services were outside my budget, I could have hired another company and gone about my day. Instead, I accepted their offer in good faith, lost valuable time, missed an opportunity to work, and ultimately had to postpone my move anyway.
Offering someone a discount does not excuse poor communication, unreliable scheduling, or canceling a service after a customer has made arrangements around it. A lower price means very little when the service is never completed.
I understand that businesses experience scheduling challenges and that miscommunication can happen. However, how a company handles those situations says a great deal about its professionalism and customer service. A simple acknowledgment of the inconvenience and some genuine accountability would have gone a long way.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Another Perfect Move. I was left feeling as though my time, lost income, and inconvenience meant nothing to them. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. Reliability, respect, and accountability should matter just as much as the price being offered.
