I recent graduated & passed my national exams. I'm keeping this short, bc of character limits. I…read moreattended the Edison campus for the CMA program. -Teacher used outdated textbooks. When we would get a question "wrong" on a test & show him why we answered the way we did from OUR textbooks (and even google!) he would tell us it didn't matter bc that's not what he had in HIS books. This happened every week. He would teach us incorrect information. When it came time to take a test, we were confused. It effected all of our grades. -No scantrons. The teacher grades tests by hand with no consistency. If I answered A & Sarah answered A but only ONE of us got it wrong... we weren't allowed to question it. -The programs are accelerated which means you are responsible for MOST of your own education. We got reviews before each test which helped us pass AIMS tests, but it gets you nowhere with national exams as there's SO MUCH you don't learn during your time at AIMS. Read the chapters. Do what no one's instructing you to do so you know everything. -Keep track of EVERYTHING yourself. This school frequently loses grades, so take a picture of every grade handed back to you. -AIMS accused my entire class of lying about our phlebotomy sticks. They threatened us with having to do the whole module over again. It was a money grab to get us to retake that portion of the program. The girl in my class that got the brunt of the accusations had more volunteers than any of us. I think they focused on her bc she was young & didn't know how to really stand up for herself yet. I've done this before. I went in to see the awful office lady Madhu & said none of us were retaking a single stick without them having solid proof that we lied. There are cameras all over the school. It should be easy for them to prove it, right? The burden of proof lies with them. Not us. Half of us were already nationally certified. We never heard about this again. -If you're on financial aid or a payment plan, keep track of how much you owe. Keep track of your payments. DO NOT LOSE YOUR INITIAL CONTRACT THAT YOU SIGNED. Towards the end of your program they WILL come after you for more money. They will threaten you with not advancing to your internship or being able to take the national exams without paying more. $100 here. $200 there. They even came after one girl for like.. $11. When asked to prove it, THEY CANT. They have no paperwork to show any kind of deficit. When classmates started showing up with their own paperwork, silence. -We signed up & paid for a hybrid course, meaning online and in school. We were in school 90% of our time there. Most days we were the only class there. Our teacher informed us he doesn't like online so that's why we were in the building most of the time. If I'm paying you for a service, I expect to receive that service. I don't care about personal preferences. Some of us signed up for a hybrid course to help with childcare or because it would make our commute to work easier after class. The hybrid course is a lie. You get maybe 2-3 classes at home per month. -When we did have an online class, the next "in school" class was a waste of time. All we did was REDO everything we spent 5 hours doing online. -Class NEVER started on time but ALWAYS ended on time. Which means if you finish a mod early, you still had to sit in class doing NOTHING for hours... even days sometimes. The teacher wouldn't move on or teach anything new. You weren't permitted to leave a minute before 2pm. Some mods were much longer than they needed to be & it was tedious. -Some mods weren't long enough to learn all the material. You were racing through chapters & not learning, but were expected to know it for exams. The whole program needs a refresh with how much time is spent on each subject because students are either panicking & racing through important topics or spending days not learning anything at all. -During enrollment, they tell you that you get to pick your top 3 internship spots off their list & they will do their best to make sure you get into a place where you see a future for yourself. In a specialty you want to excel in. That is also a lie. You get 0 choice. I got lucky & love where I got placed, but many other girls were not as lucky. Many of the places on their approved internship list are the most dysfunctional, understaffed environments that use interns as free labor with no intent to hire you at all. Some of the girls in my class were working ALONE as a brand new, not yet certified MA during their 2nd week there. They were given zero support. There are other things that went wrong during my time there and we tried voicing our concerns, but we got ignored. If they respond to this at all, I'm sure they'll try to discredit what I've said, but I feel like potential students have a right to know how AIMS is poorly run and you pay thousands of dollars for an intricate DIY course.

I applied to the patient care technician program and started november of 2022. During that program I applied again to the diagnostic medical sonography program. They called me told me I was accepted. I set up a date to discuss payment plans and such. I got a call the morning of from someone who told me I did not get in, they called the wrong person. I was beyond livid. I signed my exit paper work for patient care in july of 2023, my graduation ceremony was in APRIL OF 2024. i waited almost an entire year to have a ceremony. I decided to re apply to the diagnostic medical sonography program in june of 2024. AGAIN i was wait listed. I did my interview with Katherine Benz-Campbell. WHAT A BITCH. She gave me a piece of paper to write on and get pissed off when I did not flip the paper over fast enough. 2 interviews i did with Katherine and NEVER AGAIN. i have never met anyone with such an attitude problem like Katherine. I dont know where katherine gets off speaking to people the way she does but shes a horrible person and gets everything she deserves. I now work as a PCT and makie nothing. i made more working at target. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

In 2014 we were told that Rutgers had to join the Big 10 Athletic Conference to bring our state funded University to national prominence and generate hundreds of millions in incremental revenue that would fund not only athletics but their various academic missions as well. "Win/Win" went the PR-driven pornography. Not so fast. A state audit has revealed that since Rutgers joined the Big 10 in 2014, the athletic department has hemorrhaged more than a half billion dollars. So much for the absurd talking points and rationale that got everyone hot and bothered 12 years ago. Forget grading in a curve, Rutgers and their cheerleader fan boys in Trenton get a well deserved F. I won't even even embarrass them further by pointing out their 52-93 won/loss record since 2014. Zero stars

Now there is a teacher who is just rude, and manipulative. She accused me of plagiarism because I took one key point from another students post and forgot to cite. Then I know someone else taking the class currently and they got accused of plagiarism as well because their paper was written basically identical to mine, but mind you that individual wrote his whole paper himself with no knowledge on the paper I wrote for this class two semesters ago. It's disgusting how they feel the right to accuse you of something that can get you kicked out of the school. It is disgusting how administration lets this happen, when I was accused of plagiarism I was so mad, but in the end I ended up rewriting my post anyway so that I wouldn't get kicked out of the school I've spent thousands on. But for this professor to be doing the same thing she did to me go other students it's an absolute disgrace and shouldn't be allowed. Especially knowing how big of a deal plagiarism is. I would think twice before enrolling there again for another degree program.

So after being emailed off/on about returning to MC, I decide to go for it only to learn my account has been deactivated. How hard can it be to reach the administrator as directed? Responder Dick tells me that I need to be an active student in order to reapply to be a student. So when I clarified that I'm not looking to access the student portal, I'm looking to apply, Responder Dick "reiterates" that he can't advise me of my student status. I know my status. So it went from you can't access the MC portal without being a student, which makes sense if I was trying to access the student portal (but I'm not), to I can't help you login anyway, the admissions dept has to do it. I didn't reach out to Responder Dick, he answered a ticket from an email I sent from the Contact Us page. Wouldn't it make sense to reassign the ticket. I bet you Responder Dick has *his* degree. May as well slide me in there if all we have to do is self assign ourselves help desk tickets and advise we can't help. Awesome job.
