This was completed at Swedish Breast Center in Edmonds, and yet another physician evaluated the results and found it inconclusive. An MRI was strongly recommended. My physician finally convinced the insurance company to approve the MRI. Fast forward to 11/22/24 with an early afternoon MRI appointment at Seattle Radiology on Seattle's First Hill neighborhood. Scheduling was thorough and professional. Park in the parking garage adjacent to the Nordstrom Tower versus street parking. Payment is via QR code at the end, just follow the prompts. Likewise, this location is accessible via Metro Rapid Ride Route G along Madison. Seattle Radiology is located on the 9th floor. Check-in at the reception desk where ID and insurance coverage card will be requested. Other documents are reviewed, signed, dated via an adjacent screen. Additional paperwork will be provided via clipboard to be completed. Waiting area is clean with comfortable seating, has a calming aquarium, lots of natural light, and nice views. Unisex restroom is conveniently located nearby. Pro tips: shower but refrain from using any deodorant, lotions, makeup, fragrance. Eat sparingly, be hydrated. Use the restroom before the MRI appointment. My name was finally called, where I was brought back by an MRI technologist, completed & verified information, shown a locker area to change from street clothes to blue scrubs and lock up one's personal belongings. An IV line was started and flushed. This is where the contrast dye was injected. I was then situated appropriately just outside the MRI tube. An overview and an opportunity to ask questions was provided. A communication squeeze gadget was placed in one hand, warm blanket placed on me, and headphones placed over my ears. I was placed in the tube. I closed my eyes, focused on remaining calm and still as the testing commenced. Thankfully, the 45 minute session was completed in three increments without incident. I did not feel rushed or claustrophobic during my entire appointment. The technologist had a pleasant and professional demeanor. This was reassuring regarding their competency to oversee this MRI procedure. I am still awaiting the final results. However, from scheduling, check-in, and completing the MRI procedure, I had a positive experience at Seattle Radiology.

She never confirmed the costs. The next day when I checked the invoice from Anika I saw she booked me for the $2400 scan not the enhanced $3999 scan. I had already booked my flight and car for the specific time and date of scan. I emailed Anika with her mistake she did call back right away. However she said she would have to change the appointment.... to another day. Only when I explained that I was flying in from another state specifically for that day did she actually try to find another appointment time available on that day. But why would she have to change the time? Next, Prenuvo only uses Quest Diagnostics for lab work. Quest Diagnostics does not have any labs in Idaho. So this was another thing I had to try to figure out once I got to Seattle. I was not able to book an appointment in advance. I went first thing in the morning of Prenuvo appointment to the Quest Diagnostics lab across from the hospital in Bellevue. They don't actually take walk ins and their first appointment was about when I needed to be at Prenuvo. What made it more frustrating is that the Quest clinics are a touchscreen run facility. There is no one to talk to and their joke of a phone service directs you to their website . No human contact or interaction. So no way to resolve anything. I called Prenuvo to get some assistance in finding another option for bloodwork. At the same time I drove to another Quest clinic in Kirkland. Luckily I got right in there probably only because the regional manager for Quest Diagnostics was sitting in the check in/ waiting room when I arrived. She helped me cut through the crap on their system. However, you should know, I did not receive a call back from Stephanie at Prenuvo with any assistance from Prenuvo on getting bloodwork done until later that afternoon. Then came the MRI scan. The front office was clean enough as were the changing rooms. It was when I was walked back to the MRI room and the technicians room that the stench hit me. There is no other way to describe the odor than Indian Curry farts. Both the technicians room and even stronger in the MRI room especially when in the MRI itself. I had to lay there and breath that for an hour and 15 minutes. There was some strange crumpled up blue plastic like sheet that I had to lay on. It looked like it had been used before, many times. When the MRI was finished, I told the technician and the gal that worked the front desk about the odor and asked if they were cleaning regularly. I suggested spraying everything they could with Lysol including the air because, damn, no one should have to smell what I did for the duration of a lengthy scan. The technician feebly pulled out a container of Clorox wipes and told me he wipes everything down with them after every use . Doubtful, I couldn't get out of there fast enough and I couldn't get that stench off me. I was still smelling it after showering the next day. Now I'm waiting to see what happens with all the lab work and scan results.

The imaging of my ankles wasn't clear, which was a bummer on the full body scan, so I recommend if you are 5'8-5'9 and want ankle imaging that you confirm in writing that they'll get those images (they have a height cut off for below the knees images). Overall, I'd 100% recommend! Oh, they gave me a $300 off link for friends who get scans that I can share.

I figured they were probably better than me trying to do it myself. I made an appointment online (same day). Tip: When I tried to book originally, it was three weeks out, but if you look in the morning, there'll be open appointments because people cancel. When I arrived there were a handful of people there, a few walk-ins (I heard them talking). Labcorp staff were moving folks through - fast, friendly, professional. For the actual act, they were supportive and positive (I'm hard to get blood from) and only had to poke me twice. A++ Here's what's making me get on for this review, though. The person checking folks in (Cy? Si?) asked me, "Did you bring a lab slip?" which I had walked out and forgotten on the printer. Instead of me bein' all sad and needing to go home and make another appointment (after fasting until 1:30pm) she said, "Is it in your email? You can just email it to me and I'll print it for you." Whaaaaaaat?! Mind blown! Super service! Thank you!
