Although, it's still only their hats that have lifetime warrantee. The other items have the standard 30 day return policy only. They have a full sport line for golfers, but the functional and beautiful pieces are great for daily wear too! My group of 5 friends and I stopped in our tracks when we saw the amazing products through their large windows. And 3 out of 5 of us found something we loved! And a 4th returned the following week to pick up a hat they were eyeing the week before. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. The staff there were very pleasant and helpful. The shop is large and beautiful. Two spacious fitting rooms are in the back, and there's more product in the back show room as well! So remember to swing back there! That's where I found and fell in love with their rain poncho jacket. It's stylish and very functional. Literally had to pop it on heading home that afternoon as it started raining! it held up well and was so light and comfortable.

At the beginning, we were treated very nicely from the staff and Paul accommodated us and our requests. Instead of going with a custom fur coat, it was recommended that we went with an in-store coat and order the next size up. He put down an approx. $5000 deposit. Paul said the coat would arrive in 10 days, which it did, only to discover that the coat was too small. He recommended that they alter the original coat. The alterations were then delayed by a few days. Paul called me to let me the know that the coat was in, and thinking we'd receive the perfect coat, I acknowledged our gratitude to Paul and his team and kind service. When my boss stepped foot into Barrington's to pick up the coat, him and his friend were given the cold shoulder, which was rather odd considering how nice we have been to him. Paul was rude and downright disrespectful and made them feel that he didn't want them in his store for some reason. Then they come to find that the finished coat was completely messed up. He mislead us during the final process and was incredibly rude. He refused to sell the next size and refused to proceed with a custom-built coat. He said that he couldn't help them and strange that there aren't any more mink pelts in Canada. Without hesitation, concern, or remorse, he handed back the deposit, thus losing a $10,000 sale. Plus, future sales. It's very strange and rude behaviour for such a highly reputable store owner. It's like he was a completely different person. We will not be returning to Barrington's and have informed our friends, colleagues, and their networks (many of whom are his customers) of this unfortunate experience.

This review is not about the quality of their products; it is specific to the Yorkdale store and the retail experience it affords. The store is rather spacious with a decent array of Arcteryx's most popular items on display. There is plenty of room to walk around such that even when the store is busy, you probably won't feel cramped. The first few sections display some of their most popular insulated pieces and shells, e.g., the Cerium LT, Atom LT/AR, and the Beta shells. Moving further into the store you find some pants and all-in-one jackets, as well as other assorted pieces like running gear and lightweight shells. At the very back their climbing harnesses are displayed as well as their "24" collection of urban clothing. I don't think I saw too many packs or other types of enthusiast-oriented outdoor gear at the store, and was disappointed to see that their inventory was rather limited for an Arcteryx retail store. There were a few pieces I was looking for that they did not have. All in all, it seems like the store was targeted to appeal to the masses, the average person walking around Yorkdale. If you're an enthusiast and know what you're looking for, call ahead and see if they have the item in stock. Otherwise, you're better off shopping online where the selection is larger and you're more likely to find discounts. I don't know yet if this store ever runs promos or sales. Service was pleasant and the girl did her best to help me. She had been decently trained but I could tell she was rather lacking in actual real-world experience using most of the products, so she was mostly giving me standard sales pitches and textbook knowledge. All very friendly and helpful. They can apply the waterproofing wax on your purchase if you buy something that is made with the G-1000 water resistant material. The wax creates a barrier making your item waterproof. The water literally rolls off! Lifetime warranty. Things here are not cheap, but you're certainly paying for quality and longevity. I'd much rather pay more and know I'm getting something that will last me a long time. I'm looking forward to using my new backpack!
