This LiDL is a very small store in our neighborhood--some of US convenient stores/gas stations are bigger than this one. This particular chain of supermarkets are somewhat smaller than other ones, and it is considered as a discount store. Therefore, their merchandise is generally cheaper compared to other similar supermarkets. Since this particular one is a smaller store, choice of merchandise is somewhat limited (according to its limited floor space). Also, in general, merchandise they carry are not the same as other more expensive supermarkets do, so I can't really do an apple to apple comparison in terms of price.
You get what you pay for...a basic principle of the free-market society... Nonetheless, it's always a great bargain if you can find something you need/want for less. That's what makes shopping at this store worthwhile, I suppose. read more
