You have to be authorized to use this facility like any other exchanges on military installation. Here Exchange and Commissary are connected for your shopping convenience. (Except due to on-going COVID restrictions, currently there's only one entrance for each building.) Food court is currently offering only three venders, but there usually is a food truck parked just outside of the building.

This particular chain of supermarkets are somewhat smaller than other ones, and it is considered as a discount store. Therefore, their merchandise is generally cheaper compared to other similar supermarkets. Since this particular one is a smaller store, choice of merchandise is somewhat limited (according to its limited floor space). Also, in general, merchandise they carry are not the same as other more expensive supermarkets do, so I can't really do an apple to apple comparison in terms of price. You get what you pay for...a basic principle of the free-market society... Nonetheless, it's always a great bargain if you can find something you need/want for less. That's what makes shopping at this store worthwhile, I suppose.

Store is well-lit and very clean. There are two floors to this store making combined floor space larger than typical American drug stores. Like American department stores, the cosmetics section is the first thing you encounter. It appeared there is a cosmetologist on duty making it more like a department store than a simple drug store by American standard. There is a very large office/school supply section with great selections indicative of German commitment to education of youth. Just as American drug stores, there is a section of toys, games, and stuffed animals. Overall, it's a very nice store with veriaty of merchandise to meet your shopping needs.

It's a furniture/home décor department store. The biggest difference between Pilipp and others…read more(like IKEA) is this store is multi-leveled (3?), and you can go to any departments you need to go and come back to the front cashier station to exit the store. So, you don't have to go thru the entire store from the beginning to the end like other furniture stores. That makes it more convenient for shopping IMHO. Displays are well-organized, store is well-lit, and it's very inviting. We went in for some Christmas decorations. Though we didn't find anything we needed or wanted this time, I'm sure we'll be back to check it out again sometime. If you are in need of any piece of furniture or some home décor items, I'd suggest you check this place out. They have ample parking available for your convenience. Happy hunting!

This is basically an Ikea for grownups. They offer furniture, lighting, kids decor, kitchen…read moresupplies, anything for baby, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, etc. The furniture and home items are very high quality (and the price reflects that). But the selection is excellent and so is the friendly service you receive. There's even a restaurant on the premises. If you need anything at all for the home and you're looking for good quality items that will last a long time, try Pilipp first. Remember to bring cash because, oddly, they don't accept cards at this high-end furniture store.
