I was told--after the fact--that part of the visit was billed as an additional service. It seems that simply discussing concerns during what's supposed to be a routine exam can trigger extra charges. If that's the case, patients deserve to be clearly informed before those questions are asked. When Dr. Gamburg asked if I had any concerns since my last visit, there should have been transparency that addressing them might not be covered under the annual exam. Without that disclosure, it feels misleading. Given this experience--and the broader issues surrounding the office since the scandal involving Dr. Pierce--I've decided to look for a new OB-GYN. Patients should feel informed and respected, not surprised by unexpected bills afterward.

Long wait times in the waiting and exam rooms. The excuse always the same "we only have a few drs in today." For a practice with 8 drs, you'd think they'd be more on top of this. Also, when you call with a medical question, you will NEVER get to speak with a person right away. I have always had to leave a message and they call you back within a day or so. Sometimes needing to leave multiple messages and play phone tag until the question is properly addressed. The reason I ultimately left was poor communication of my medical information. I was called with medical results and the nurse mis-read what the doctor wrote and gave me wrong information. If it wasn't for the fact that I am proactive in reading my own results and blood work, I might not have received the proper care for myself and my child.
