Absolute best part of my trip to Barcelona.
We wandered in here randomly, drawn in by the beautiful ambiance and walls of wine visible from the street. We asked to get a bottle of cava, and told the wine attendant that our price range was around 40 EU. In Barcelona, for 40 EU we were hitting some *very* nice stuff and the wine gal told us she could get us a great bottle for that price (wine is so cheap in comparison to the US). She grabbed a bottle she recommended and put it on ice and instructed us to hangout in the wine tasting area.
While we waiting for it to chill, she gave us each a free glass of rose and offered tapas (which we did have to pay for the tapas). She was super friendly and giving us great recommendations. The cheese platter (manchego of course) and olives were remarkably tasty (we're still trying to figure out how they stuff them).
Once our bottle chilled, she brought it out for us and poured it, leaving it on the table on ice. After we finished that, we got another bottle which was equally as delicious.
I give this place a full 5 stars for the warm experience in the busy streets off La Rambla, the great selection of wine, and for the amazing service we received. Next time a friend is heading to Barcelona, this will be the #1 place I recommend. read more
