Dr. Robon showed no interest in my condition, instead he took the time to talk about himself, how good he is and what Labor & Industry needed from him, not what I needed as a patient. It's taken me a year to write this because the experience was that upsetting. Thankfully, I found excellent care and real support at Swedish Hospital. I've since had two surgeries with a compassionate, skilled surgeon I trust, or in short: everything Dr. Robon was not.

When I asked about trying physical therapy? Dr. Robon dismissed PT and said it would not work. I now have permanent scar tissue and pain in the wrist and there was no benefit in the procedure. Since then, I have had many physical therapists tell me that PT is a valid and successful treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome! Worst case scenario, why not at least try PT first before undergoing an evasive surgery?? I was pressured and convinced by Dr. Robon that his Release procedure was the best and most successful treatment option. Dr. Robon does have a good bedside manner but he should not pressure his patients into evasive surgical procedures that could be avoided with physical therapy. I am extremely disappointed with Dr. Robon's poor judgement and he should advocate for his patients better!
