Great experience at Lice Busters. I was able to get a same-day appointment, and we were seen right away after explaining our situation. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They took their time to check everything thoroughly and explained what they were seeing, which gave me real peace of mind. I would definitely recommend them to anyone dealing with lice or even just a scare. read more

Having dealt with lice earlier this year, I'm on high alert for them and had a scare this weekend. Daniel immediately gave me peace of mind as he checked for me, even did a more thorough check with conditioner and blow dried my hair so I could walk outside. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend them! read more

Friendly and professional. Followup appointment is free. Just be sure to call before you go - hours seem somewhat unpredictable.

They know what they are doing and they are very nice people. We went to the location in Park Slope and it was hopping. It's clear they get a lot of repeat business. They checked me thiuroughky and told me I was clean-- I treated myself but felt like I still had it, they could have lied and done the treatment but it's clear they run an honest business. Price includes a follow up check 7 days later. read more

This place is a lifesaver. They are efficient, confident, and very good at what they do during an extremely stressful time. It's expensive but well worth it for peace of mind. read more

Great experience, very friendly, nice staff, pain free. Treated me and my daughter same day.

Great place to get rid of hair lice! Very professional and courteous service from the Harel family. Got rid of all those pesky little hair critters. And their nasty nits. read more

I did not find this place a trustworthy business. They lure you in with potential deals that don't materialize and claim your insurance will cover. read more

Booked appointment over phone, when I arrived at the specified location there was no such address.!!! Of course i double checked the address they texted me. I called multiple times at my said appointment time and have still never heard back. It was truly upsetting as I was dealing with lice and left standing on a street corner. Super unprofessional and upsetting. read more

This review is for my 2019 visit and I still remember the experience I had! I'd just moved into the city and was sleeping on someone's couch (bad idea), ended up catching lice for MONTHS. I had especially long hair then and was desperate to get them out as I worked with people in close proximity, fearing I would pass it on somehow. I came in and the staff thankfully took care of the situation for me and gave advice on how to keep the lice away. Additionally, Yoni's calm and collected nature really eased my mind and made the situation less daunting. Thanks to him and the ladies at Lice Busters for the excellent work! read more

The treatment did work, and it was great being able to go in right away without an appointment. I'm sure waiting times vary, ours was not too bad. BUT if they "offer" to check you, first ask how much it will cost. If you come in with a kid with head lice, they make it seem like checking the adults is part of the deal and of course you'd be charged if you do have them, but otherwise not. AND they tell you that "most insurance" covers the treatment at least partially - mine did not, I suspect none do. read more

Very profesional and fast . I saw my 6 year old scratching her head so much and i knew something wasn't right . At first I thought it was dry scalp but when I looked it was lice I called them on a sunday morning desperate and they saw me the same day in the afternoon. read more

It is so weird to have lice in time of quarantine. Yoni was super responsive and even opened an office to help me get rid of my issue. One hour later I was clean. Thank you! read more

Honestly, if someone in your family gets lice, you have two choices: 1. Try to deal with it yourself. You'll buy treatment kits that are expensive, have to deal with squirming kids who want to touch their hair and eyes before rinsing, tons of combing while you're unsure if you're even getting everything out, a family with very greasy hair for days, 12+ hours of frantically washing every fabric item in the house, and still not being sure if you've dealt with the issue. Or, 2. Go to Lice Busters. Talk about the issue and have the team assess the situation realistically so that you know what you actually have to wash, etc. before going home, have the kids sit calmly, watching TV and coloring while their hair is deeply conditioned and painstakingly combed by experts (no yucky residue from this treatment! I got it for myself too and my hair was softer than normal afterwards!), and total piece of mind. I went with the first option the first time we got lice, thinking I was saving money, but wasted a lot of time and was exhausted by the end. The next time, I went to Lice Busters, and honestly, this is what I'd do every time in the future. The issue seemed so much less overwhelming, my family was less stressed, and the lice were gone in no time. Totally worth it. read more

My daughter was sent home from camp. Nightmare. Thankfully the camp recommended Lice Busters. Not only was the service thorough and kind, but the whole experience was really well thought-through. From the cartoons to the coloring books to the lollipops, they had everything on hand to make it as painless for the kids as possible. And for the parents there's a full lesson on how to spot lice in the future and what to do when you get home to keep it from recurring. It was great peace of mind to leave an hour later lice-free! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. When my daughter had head lice, I did my research and saw on Lice Busters' website that they guarantee the lice would be fully removed after one treatment, and they seemed legit. Lo and behold, after not one, but two treatments and $550 later, she was still scratching away at her head. I tried to get the Busters guy to come back yet again to help, but he was too busy and I just couldn't wait. I finally brought her to Licenders and they got rid of it in one session. The Lice Busters company has been screening my calls and ignoring my texts to try to follow up and get my refund (remember that "guarantee?"), and when he finally did answer when I called from a different phone number, he gave me the run around and all kinds of excuses, but ultimately said he would give us a refund. Have I received the money yet? Nope. And now they're back to ignoring me. Bottom line- do NOT ever go to Lice Busters NYC. They are not reputable and don't do the job right  Only use Licenders- they're professional and methodical and while not cheap, they get it done in one shot. read more

Yoni and his team are great! They were able to see us right away, and helped my son through this stressful situation. Yoni is a very calming, reassuring presence. His team are very professional and thorough. They were able to clear up the problem, and also checked us again a week later to make sure it was indeed resolved. I cannot thank them enough for getting us through what is a hard time for any family. I highly recommend Lice Busters to anyone who suspects or has the nasty critters!! Thank you Yoni! read more

Amazing service. Literally stayed open 1.5 hours late for all 7 of us. No more lice thank god!!! :) read more

There are not enough stars available to rate how highly LiceBusters should be rated. Getting lice is stressful, but getting lice multiple times over because of incompetencies in your child's elementary school is a true nightmare. Raffi and Daniel were total life savers during our entire process. Their treatments worked without fail (we needed several, but this was because my child kept getting exposed to lice at school.). They were extremely patient, reassuring, responsive, kind, approachable, and overall they are wonderful humans. My kids, 6 and 2 at the time, immediately attached to Raffi and they still ask about him to this day (not kidding.). Daniel and Raffi also both went completely above and beyond in helping our family with the elementary school issue which solved the problem once and for all. I could never thank them enough. I have absolutely no hesitation is recommending LiceBusters to anyone who needs them. They're lifesavers!!! read more

I have such vivid nightmarish memories of my own experience with lice in my sons' hair 33 years ago that when I learned my once-a-week afternoon activity with my granddaughter (of the long hair) would be at Lice Busters, I was not happy. I was so wrong! She walked in apprehensively but she saw two children sitting in youth size beauty parlor chairs, calmly watching cartoons while their wet hair was combed and combed and combed. Half way through her treatment we left to pick up her brother; she happily returned for the second half insisting on opening the door herself. The atmosphere was peaceful; the technicians were silent and efficient, alert to any discomfort on the child's part. They took as long as needed to make sure the hair was free of eggs. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending their service. read more

This place lives up to all the hype! I called in a panic with an itchy scalp after several of my daughters friends (and parents!) had lice. Yoni had me come in right away. The space was immaculate and welcoming. I noticed that there were movies and art supplies set up for kids, and felt immediately at ease that I'd feel comfortable bringing mine in if needed. A female technician did the initial inspection, and it turned out to be a false alarm - I was lice free! Yoni came over and did a double check, so I felt extra reassured. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. What a relief to know that they're nearby and able to ease the nerves during such a stressful situation. I called on the recommendation of a friend, and I will absolutely continue to spread the good word! Thanks lice busters!!! read more

Loved the whole experience! From Yoni's kind and gentle disposition to guide my 4 year old through the process to the cleanliness and discrete location. Is not cheap but is worth knowing you are in good experienced hands! read more

I just visited the lice busters They are sooooo nice And professional They were very polite and gentle The kids have variety of activities to play with Good movies on Netflix The owner Yoni was so nice And gave everyone a big donut Definitely high recommended Thank you guys read more

Everyone here were so nice from the owner on the phone when making the appointment to the women who performed the treatment on me and and my son. We had recently come from another lice treatment place and it was a terrible experience where I walked out because I knew that I was getting scammed and the practitioner wasn't nice! This is a stressful situation and I believe you should get some reassurance and advice while getting a treatment. Which Lice Busters did. Also, it took 40 minutes, not the 3 hours of this other place that charged by the hour! read more

Considering that the premise for going to this place is your kids having bugs in their hair, it's pretty astonishing that it could have been such a positive experience. Yoni is unbelievably knowledgeable, patient, and kind; they are thorough; the place is set up for kids and they go out of their way to make the experience fun, rather than miserable. My kids were at ease because of the staff's calm and fun approach, and because the salon is set up with cartoons, lollipops, etc. And i was at ease because it was clear that they would not let us leave until they were absolutely certain everyone was bug-free. Worth every penny, and i would recommend in a heatbeat. read more

Thank goodness for Lice Busters. I discovered my son had lice, found Lice Busters and within 10 minutes my son was in the chair being treated. After about 30 minutes in the chair we were done. This was my first time dealing with lice and all of my concerns were put to rest. It was already a stressful day so adding lice to mix could have thrown me over the edge. Thanks to lice busters all was fine. read more

Thank you Lice Busters ! Yani, Daniel, and Dalya for the most amazing experience that could have been the worst! They are all beyond pleasent and professional. My sister had a serious infestation going on from her public school and we Googled where to go and ended up here. Thankfully seasoned lice buster Dalya came to the rescue and saved the day! Daniel combed my hair through and was super gentle. Yani the lice God himself triple checked me, my sister, and my mother's hair for just in case Daniel and Dalya missed something fortunately there was nothing to be found. I have to say this was my best worst experience I've ever had and I recommend anyone who has their own lice emergency to use Lice Busters. read more

I cannot say enough about this place! I panicked when I found a louse in my 5 year old daughter's hair after a shower. A spoke to a friend; she had tried to take care of her daughter's case by shampooing and combing on her own at home, but it just kept getting worse and then ending up spreading throughout the family. Lice Busters was her saving grace. I quickly made an appointment for the next day - and they had availability. When we walked in, it looked like an average hair salon. We were seen quite quickly. My daughter was a little nervous, so I was checked first. They found 2 nits and no bug. More nits were found on my daughter, but I was told we were lucky to have caught it so quickly- this was a very mild case. I felt total peace of mind as they shampooed and combed our hair for almost an hour. They were kind enough to ask my daughter what she would like to watch on tv. She chose Moana. Lollipops were also plentiful. The bright, clean, colorful atmosphere, combined with all of the amenities put us both at ease in such an uncomfortable, unknown experience. This was my first experience with lice and I knew I would never have felt comfortable dealing with this on my own. Afterwords, Yoni, the main supervisor, was very thoughtful and thorough, explaining all of the things I should do at home along what I can do in the future to prevent this from happening again. He even gave use new hair ties + a special coloring book for my daughter, along with a lice preventing spray. It was also comforting to see that he is available via text and phone to answer any questions. I am not happy we had to deal with this situation, but I am happy to know that this place exists to help me when it does! FYI, they are not open on Saturdays. read more

Great service from the Lice Busters team for my two daughters and me on short notice. Thank you!

The good: They were able to see us at the last minute, on the same day. They effectively removed the lice. Yoni provides ongoing support for any future lice outbreaks and checks. The bad: We had to wait a long time to be seen once we got there. Yoni was very rough. My son screamed the entire time, and when he did my head, I understood why. I have done lice removal twice since then, and he hasn't complained at all. They said both our FSA and health insurance should cover it, but neither one did. read more

My 5-year-old daughter had been scratching her head for a bit over a week. I had checked her by looking at her head, but never saw anything. Honestly, I didn't really know what to look for. We went to her pediatrician and she concluded it was lice. She showed us 2 nits. She prescribed a medicated cream that had so many disconcerting potential side effects, I didn't feel comfortable using it. A friend recommended Lice Busters and I was really comforted to learn about their all-natural approach. Yoni and the rest of the Lice Busters team were so caring, attentive and incredibly thorough. They showed us how to do the combing ourselves at home for future concerns, gave us advice for preventative measures we can take and were just overall incredibly pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend them. read more

If you're reading this review, you are probably dealing with the frustrating problem of lice. It's an anxious and embarrassing thing to go through, as my girlfriend and I found out a couple weeks ago. Thankfully, Lice Busters exist. We called for an emergency appointment, and they were more than accommodating. He saw us both within an hour, explained what was going on and what we needed to do, and treated our hair. His calming nature made us feel relaxed, and put our troubled minds at ease. We're going back tomorrow for a checkup, as they ensure their clients are happy and lice-free, but so far we've felt great and haven't found any more lice. Lice Busters is a true lifesaver! read more

Amazing fast friendly service. They got all six of us in immediately. Thank you so much! Recommend highly for little kids

This place was my savior! After I realized that my two kids and I had lice Yoni was a calm presence who was able to treat all three of us at the same time! He saved me hours and sanity. The place was great for the kids. All of the technicians were lovely and gentle with my kids. Even gave them a break halfway through the treatment. Yoni has markers, coloring books and kids shows, which make it extremely kid-friendly. I would highly recommend Lice Busters to any families. read more

I brought in my niece twice within a 6 month period and I still had to do my at home treatments because it didn't work. I was told I myself had eggs but they never found actual lice. It cost me almost $400 here for 1 visit for us, not including having to come out of pocket for home services. So I spent over $600 at this place and it didn't work. Save your money! read more
