This place is a total scam, I ordered flowers, first of all they don't do delivery outside of Norwalk, which is ridiculous but that's not the point, I order premium flowers (90$ dollars) , the website said they close at 12 so I order 2 hours prior, I went 30-40 minutes later to pick them up, I tried calling, no answer, i went to the shop, the shop looks like a rat nest, it was dusty, the doors were closed, I called the number that was on their website, maps, and the one that was sent on the email confirmation. Nothing, I've been spam calling it, and no one is answer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALLL! Total scam read more

For a very reasonable price, J.P., the owner, designed stunning centerpieces that were the talk of the reception. And, when we explained our need for delivery to the reception, he agree to deliver them himself, saving us concern when we had so many other things on our mind. As we'll all be on a family vacation on actual Mother's Day, I thought it'd be nice to surprise my mother-in-law with some blooms to enjoy in the lead-up to Mother's Day this year. Licari's website was very easy to navigate, which is a relief as we're putting in an order from halfway around the world. There were a lot of options in our price range (around $75.) We ordered the "Exquisite Beauty" bouquet, which is a low arrangement. What's nice about the site is that you also have the option of adding additional flowers (deluxe or premium choices) to enhance your bouquet style, usually for just $10-20 extra. The flowers arrived on the date I requested, and I had a chuckle at the confirmation email which said something along the lines of, "This email confirms a few things: the order you placed was delivered... and you have excellent taste in flowers." I highly recommend Licari Floral Designs. I was sent flowers on Valentine's Day 2022. They were left outside my front door, which I rarely use and I didn't notice the delivery until the following day. The weather was well below freezing so unfortunately the glass vase broke and the flowers froze. I called Licari's to let them know and spoke to the owner, JP. He could not have been more apologetic and noted that the delivery service he used said they left messages all locations they had delivered to if flowers were left outside. I hadn't received a message. JP immediately handled the situation with the most professional and kind customer service. He said he'd be delivering a new arrangement the following morning. The flowers that arrived were beautiful, abundant and I could not have been more pleased. Licari's is now my new go to when I need flowers for my home or when I want to send as a gift. I ordered a "deluxe" arrangement online from SendFlowers.com for $49.99 with a free delivery (valued at $14.95). I asked the recipient to send a picture. As you can see, the delivered arrangement is significantly smaller than what I ordered (I understand they sometimes have to substitute flowers so I'm not even complaining that this so-called "modern orange bouquet" is primarily lilies. Fortunately, it was still a nice, albeit smaller than it was supposed to be. so I called the florist to inquire and she readily admitted they made a smaller bouquet with substitutes because she said she "can't make any money from what she gets from the online orders because she has to pay $13 delivery fee so she deducts that from the flowers." She said I was the third customer she had to explain this to, as if it made sense that her business plan and arrangement with SendFlowers were my problem! I had to explain that what she delivered wasn't what I ordered and paid for--I didn't order a standard $35 arrangement plus $15 delivery fee, I ordered a $50 arrangement with free delivery and that what was she agreed to provide when she took the order. I asked her for a $15 refund but she told me to take it up with SendFlowers, which I did, and fortunately, after initially offering me $10, which also didn't make sense, they agreed to refund me the $15. But Omg, I WON'T do business with either of these companies ever again. read more

I drove all around Darien and Norwalk looking for a florist because I needed something for my mother's birthday. Let's just say Nielson's is IN-SANE for trying to charge me $125 for a small bouquet of calla lillies. Hah I don't think so. (They also were charging by the flower so one rose was between $5-$8). So I pulled out my trusty iPhone 4 and found Licari's Floral Design. It's hard to find a decent florist that isn't going to charge you an arm and a leg for flowers. Licari's is not decent, it's great! The flowers he gave me were cheerful, colorful and lasted for a long time. I was happy, my mother was happy, my grandmother was teary eyed (what?) and my wallet was smiling as I left with a great bouquet. Thanks again! read more

What a magnificent florist! When sending flowers from far away it's a little stressful because you have to completely trust the florist. They're always going to tell you they're sending something nice, and the recipient is always going to say they're beautiful- even if they suck. I was lucky enough to come across Licari on Yelp and based on the reviews I decided to use them to send my grandmother flowers in the hospital. I spoke to JP the owner and told him what I wanted. I said I had wanted peonies and they said they had pink, and he would add some stock white flowers as well. I got nervous because hearing the word "stock" made me think of carnations and baby's breath, but he assured me it was just whatever white flowers they had on hand (i.e. lilies, etc.). He wasn't sure if the flowers could be delivered to the floor where she was staying. When I offered to call the hospital, he said for me not to trouble myself with another phone call....he would take care of it and call me back to let me know either way. The next day, he called me first thing to say the flowers were going out! My mother who was at the hospital sent me a picture of the flowers, and they were exquisite. So tasteful, without any crappy filler and with a beautiful leaf wrapped around the inside to cover the stems (just like I like it). She said they smelled wonderful, but not overpoweringly so. I am so grateful to have found Licari. While I'm not sure I'd have the occasion to use them again, I cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone else looking for someone to help them with floral design. OH and did I mention they are COMPLETELY reasonable as well?? Home run! read more

I called yesterday to send my mom flowers for Mother's Day a bit early. I told him what I wanted and to be fair he was very accommodating. I said I would like to spend $75 on an arrangement of very bright, spring-y flowers with lots of reds, pinks, and oranges. He went over to the case while I was on the phone with him and told me pretty much everything they had that fit the bill. I agreed to everything he suggested and the flowers were very pretty--I just didn't feel that they were $75 worth. Perhaps that is just because it's Fairfield County and that's how it goes. The delivery fee to New Canaan was also $13--pretty steep! All in all I would recommend them. read more

Thank heavens for Licari Floral Design! I live in Los Angeles and was looking to send a special arrangement to my grandmother in Norwalk, CT for her 94th birthday. My siblings and I were all pitching in and wanted it to be special, gorgeous and also a good value. I looked on Yelp and found Licari. The owner, JP, was SO helpful and friendly that I knew I was in good hands immediately. I spoke to my grandmother and she was delighted! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Also, she said they were a "masterpiece" and created by a "genius." She does not use these words lightly. In the past, she has called and returned flowers to another florist that arrived wilting. My grandmother knows and appreciates her flowers! Less than 2 weeks later, my grandmother had a stroke and had to go to the hospital then a rehab center. I ordered a ficus tree online from Licari for dear friends who had gotten engaged and had just recently moved to Norwalk, when, that same day I got a call from J.P. that there were no ficus trees to be found from his distributors. I let him know that the symbolism of the ficus was really important to the sentiment of my gift, and in this new couple's "laying down roots." He set the right expectations that he would continue to check with distributors, but that he may not be able to have it delivered that day. After spending some time finding the perfect holiday arrangement through various on line floral companies, I ordered an arrangement through 1-800-Flowers and Licari Floral Design was the local florist used to fulfill my order. I specifically looked for and ordered a two candle holiday table arrangement to be sent to my daughter's in-laws to be used for Christmas dinner. It was the FIRST year that my daughter was not spending the holidays with us, rather with her new husband and family. My enclosure card specifically asked that my daughter and her husband light one candle for the "Wh---" family and one candle for the Wi---'s family as a way of bringing our two families together. This was NOT a last minute purchase. The arrangement came with only one candle. The excuse was that they "ran out of candles!" I was extremely disappointed that Licari did not fill my order as I requested and paid for. Apparently they sent an extra single white rose. I'm sorry, that's not good enough. For God's Sake, couldn't they have bought an extra candle to make sure that my order was went out in the spirit that I had intended. Obviously they did not care enough to complete the order as requested. Licari knew in plenty of time the arrangement that needed to be sent on my behalf. Businesses with integrity truly earn the title of being successful. Sure it was only one candle, but it meant a lot to us. read more
