This place is VERY busy during the peak lunch time due to them having burgers and chicken tenders. There are some unique and different options as well. This location has a ton of seating both inside and outside. Let's face it, Florida is hot, so my wife and I never sit outside. We are always making a point to go inside. We also always use the mobile ordering on the app, we find a table, sit down and wait for the food to be ready. Using the app is so much easier, but if you want a lot of customizations, you need to go to the register to order. One of the other perks about Backlot, they are one of the few locations that have fill your own drink station, aka you can get refills. Most days there are people also filling their own bottles with water at the station. I don't love this for sanitary reasons, but the ice goes faster as it cannot keep up with the demand of purchased drinks and personal bottles. Food options are typical theme park: hamburgers, and chicken tenders. However, they do have different items such as a General Tso's bowl, Cuban sandwich and more. I personally love the General Tso's bowl, it's filling and very tasty. This location almost always offers specialty items, such as holiday treats and Star Wars themed items. It is usually a dessert and a cocktail. They are also a location for one of Disney's sauced chicken tenders which came out awhile ago. Disney created a ton of different sauced tenders around their property. Backlot has the honey buffalo which are really delicious. My wife and I have had them a few times. I do hope these stay. Sometimes a chicken tender just hits right! Overall, I would say this is a great place for families, lunch and quick bites. There are a lot of options, lots of seating and the best park, drink refills. I would say check it out.

They also are one of the few locations that have fill your drink station which means you can get refills. And when its hot you will see tons of people filling their own bottles with water at the station. But any place, quick service, that offers free refills, always has a higher rating for me. Drinks at Disney are SO expensive! Their food is very much theme park, hamburgers, chicken tenders, but they also offer a few unique items such as a General Tso's bowl, Cuban sandwich and more. They usually offer specialty items as well. Most recently we went for the Star Wars themed items which included a cocktail and a cupcake. Both were very good. Backlot has the honey buffalo which are awesome! I really hope these stay around. This is not necessarily a place we visit every time but it is a good stop. There are tons of options for everyone and the free refills is a plus. There are quite a few unique options in studios but Backlot probably has the largest seating area. One of their items that I wish would come back was a salad. It had grilled chicken, avocado, and more with a garlic lime vinaigrette, it was so good! That I will definitely miss! But overall, I would say this is a great place for families. Lots of options, lots of seating and drink refills. It is also sort of near the front in between Indiana Jones and Star Tours. However, my curiosity was piqued during this most recent Disney trip, so I decided to check out their offerings. Gaston's Tavern is a quick service restaurant that serves a variety of items - with some of them being inspired by Beauty and the Beast. While one of their more popular items is the aforementioned Gray Stuff, I was looking to get LeFou's Brew. This is a non-alcoholic drink that had frozen apple juice as a base, toasted marshmallow flavoring, and topped with a passion fruit and mango foam. There's an option to get it in a souvenir mug, but I decided to get it in a regular plastic cup. The drink was...fine? The color of the foam and the frozen drink were very similar, so there was no illusion of the topping being a foam. The flavor was pretty good - I was able to differentiate the foam from the base drink from a flavor perspective, but overall this whole thing left me unimpressed. Service was good - the cast member taking care of me was very friendly. Even though I wasn't impressed with what I got from Gaston's, I wouldn't write it off just yet. If I'm in the area I would be curious to try more of their menu, but I'm not running back.

They are service warm and you can get them with cheese sauce for dipping, the sauce is extra and not enough comes in the little cup. We ordered a slushy that looks nothing like the picture and it was okay. The popping boba was soft. I recommended going to this stand if you want something quick and don't want to wait in long lines.

They don't serve many different things and they are quick to pump everything out. The popcorn machines are epic decorations with glowing embers underneath to emulate the kettle and ambiance of Batuu. Grab a cold brew. Take the mandatory drink pic. Enjoy your time in Batuu.

Pineapple Lanai is located right outside of the main building at Polynesian Resort. With a standard menu offering dole whip and dole whip floats, but also seasonal offerings available too during special times... for fall, they had a pumpkin dole whip... you can enjoy this delicious treat without even needing to venture into Magic Kingdom. With a single checkout, the line may end up running a little long, but it moves quickly and it is worth the wait. Plenty of tables and seats are located outside, but we always look to take ours right into the main lobby.

The Beaches and Cream staff offered to try and seat us together, but we repeatedly said we'd just keep our 6 & 6 reservations. We watched many families with parties of 4-6 walk up with no reservations and get seated within minutes. We were informed after waiting a half hour that "the party before us was getting their ice cream and we'd be seated next, all together". We repeated again that we just wanted to eat and we'd sit separately. After over an hour after our reservation time, they finally seated us (together). While I appreciate the effort, we repeatedly told them that sitting down to eat was more important than sitting together. So after 6 kids having total meltdowns due to being tired and hungry, we finally were seated. Our waitress was wonderful, very quick, and the food was good. But it was not worth the wait, or the effort it took to get there. I only made the reservation there so we could order the Kitchen Sink for dessert. I go to WDW and stay on property a lot and it was not worth the effort, especially since the front-of-house staff refused to listen.

My boyfriend and I were in Animal Kingdom with his step sister, her girlfriend, and his nephew. The line was about six people deep, but the line moved quickly with friendly cast members quickly serving cold treats on a hot June day in Florida. We were able to find a rock area to have a seat, and easily shared with the five of us. Though it was incredibly sweet, and I could never have one by myself, we all really enjoyed. Definitely a do over for me if I find myself back here. If you like brownies, cookie dough, and/or ice cream sandwiches, then try this if you have someone to share one with!
