Staff is great some of these reviews are false and false reviews makes a business look bad one guy says the follow you around the first time I went there yea to ask me what kind of cigar you are into. But to me I just think that's great customer service don't listen to these nay sayers trust me go there the election is great anything you want to try is there and the value is not bad. I have to say this. They have a good selection, and they are friendly enough. But they make me nervous anytime I go there. They must have had some theft in their past because everytime I visit their humidor, an employee comes in and watches over me. Some shops leave you alone to browse. Not here. I've maybe been there a few times in my life, and each time I feel like they don't trust anyone. I've had employees with me in a humidor and not gotten the feeling I get here. Also, their lounge is members only. I don't like that. Maybe they have a reason, and that's fine. It's just not my favorite thing. There are better choices for cigars in the city. read more

I've been a longtime customer at Liberty and I don't understand these negative reviews. The proprietors are friendly and helpful, with solid, dependable knowledge of the products they vend. All you have to do is ask. The selection is massive, ranging from inexpensive (but still high quality) no-name hand rolled cigars good for catching a quick smoke while walking the dog to the high end Montecristo and Ashton for when you're celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself to a high quality smoke. They often run 5 for 4 promotions and always have good deals on clearance items and special combinations. I've never felt uncomfortable shopping here and I recommend it highly to everyone from the beginner to the aficionado. You'll find what you're looking for at Liberty Smokes. read more

Great place to buy cigars. Large selection and great pricing. The lounge is members only but looks nice. I do wish they would invite you to smoke in the lounge maybe I would inquire about a membership or maybe they don't have any more room? All in all it is one of the better places to buy cigars. Plenty of parking and right over the bridge so you can buy before heading back to Jersey and the crazy taxes!! read more

This place is terrible....The guy at the front isn't friendly at all, he acts like you are there to steal and follows you around making you feel uncomfortable. so unprofessional...So after i made my purchase i went to sit in the lounge area he yell out "PRIVATE AREA ONLY" as if it was 1950 smh.... he never mention that it was members only because if so i would have asked about a membership. read more

Long time customer. Advised by the staff that I couldn't smoke in the shop. Told I could light up but had to go. The irony was that the staff themselves were smoking. Also, the staff stalks you while in the humidor as if your are stealing. I Will never be back. There is a really weird, uncomfortable vibe. read more

My self and and a co-worker were unfortunate to walk into this Toxic environment to purchase a cigar , Only to be met by Two of the Nastiest people I ever had the misfortune of meeting , and to be told we have no business being in there ,Why are these people even in business ? I make a couple trips to Alantic City From Cape Cod and I always spend 1 day in Philadelphia at Liberty Smokes...Mike and the staff have extensive knowledge of cigars and make you feel like your from Philly !!
