Dallas traffic made it difficult to make it to my appointment and I was 12 minutes late but the front desk lady not even trying to help & showing no remorse whatsoever. I know that I was late but to have my scheduled appointment "wiped from the system," is ridiculous. There were not even many people in the building and the front desk lady did not even offer to help me reschedule. horrible service!

We have had our insurance since we moved into a new property and had a pipe burst, a sudden and…read moremassive flooding of our entire place and instead of providing coverage per our policy and assisting with relocation, we found our adjuster and his manager doing everything to evade coverage saying we had no mold coverage. This was not a concealed leak that turned into mold, this was a pipe burst during the freeze and we've found our policy was terminated immediately after saying we weren't pleased with their coverage. They are refusing to cover the appropriate dwelling coverage to rebuild the property affected, the freezing water flooded the entire property. Our adjuster advised against water restoration or mitigation and the policy that covers (co-insurance) the damages first only covers a woefully inadequate amount in both remediation and the build back and AAA has continued to refuse coverage when mold grew due to their delay in getting us any services, they left area rugs rotting and molding for over 3.5 wks. or longer while the other policy's adjuster found us a water mitigation company explained why water mitigation was critical and our personal dwelling coverage is not being used to cover the remediation costs while they used untrue policy rules they made up as they went along saying they couldn't relocate us until the other policy was completed the excuses grew and our desk adjuster claimed to have a house that met our special needs when we said we wanted to know where this house was and went to the manager this house suddenly was no longer available and they never gave us the address b/c they never had a place to relocate us to. The work will take approximately 5 months, it's complicated then our policy was terminated saying it was b/c we moved our car insurance to where it was better and less than 50% the cost AAA offered. No where in our policy does it state we must have auto coverage (clearly offering no discount advantage) and nothing was said when we tried to keep our auto coverage with AAA instead they apologized they couldn't provide competitive pricing. No one with AAA said, seeing we had a claim, our policy would be canceled and now we've found new coverage but we still haven't gotten the core issues resolved and had no choice but to file a claim with the Texas Department of Insurance. I would go to any other provider to get coverage, go where you have an agent that will be your advocate and stay away from AAA. This has caused unimaginable uncertainty, illness, duress and we worry about the value of our property with no policy alone covering the damages. The other insurance company doesn't feel AAA has acted in good faith and the excuses given don't add up to them either. They're willing to take the claim from AAA in subrogation but we're getting nowhere so we're looking for the TDI to assist us in getting this claim covered properly and no one should have to go through any of this when enduring a crisis that damages their largest investment your insurer should get you through a claim with professionalism and support. We remain with a claim that is unresolved when we should've had the work completed and could've been back into our home. Be careful, use all of the advocacy groups available to you, get a public adjuster, don't allow the water restoration company do anything to your property and not take any responsibility for damages they caused to both our property and our appliances. Go anywhere else I've heard Chubb is the very best and have outstanding customer satisfaction.

In 2018, I had a medical emergency and the affiliate of NLG in Arlington was supposed to help me get funds out for the hospital bills I was incurring at the time. They promised it would take five days (5) and after countless calls, it took them a MONTH to get that money out. Additionally, I was not able to access my online account due to an error on their part- they had the wrong birth date. The Arlington office blamed corporate, corporate balmed the Arlington office, and time passed. A week ago, a bit wiser about taking money out, I tried to access my online account and again IT IS NOT WORKING still. So, I called corporate and waited half an hour on the phone to talk to a customer service representative that told me the fastes way to ask for a withdrawl was to fax it. I did a week ago, and still, no money. Today I called corporate and, a woman with a horrible attitude that most likely did not realize I am a customer, answered and said that I had not received it because "needed to mark it as an emergency"., blah blah blah... (I did in fact mark it as an emergency) At this point, she says it will take about 1 or 2 days more -- with her horrible attitude. I want to make sure that NLG realized it is not good to mistreat a customer the way they have me. I am not able to take my money out right now but, I will as soon as I can. Shame on you!

And when I was ready to buy, calling Chuck Harrison was one of the smartest decisions I ever made--Chuck's a great guy who knows his business and product lines, and is constantly looking to save me money. His agency only sells the good stuff, e.g., Chubb, Safeco, and Progressive, so you know you're not getting stuck with a second rate product. But the real difference is the customer service. Chuck and Angelina (his friendly office manager) have patiently walked me through every proposed policy (as a lawyer, I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions). They're also always looking out for me. As just an example, earlier this year, Chuck found me a homeowners policy at a price I thought was great for the level of coverage, and I agreed to it. Done deal, happy customer, and a nice sale for Harrison Insurance. A couple weeks later, just before our home was scheduled to close, Chuck called and told me that he had done more research, and he was able to save me $300 on an even broader policy. Honestly, who has ever heard of an insurance agent who (1) spends time doing additional research AFTER a sale and then (2) tells a customer about a cheaper option that presumably means LESS money into his own pocket? That right there is an example of honesty and dedication to the customer that you just don't see much these days--I can't imagine a better insurance agency than Harrison.
