ONe star is one too many. The most dishonest, unresponsive, Insurance company in the United States,…read moreand that Tricial Griffith CEO is totally useless, as appears to be all her staff. REport them to your states Insurance overseeing govt agency, in NY it is NYS DFS ... I sent them this ----"number as I wanted payments automatically withdrawn. I saw on March 20 my payment was rejected as no funds as this acct was closed (I was a victim of identity theft 3 years ago and had to open a new checking acct) I called spoke to Anna in Billing, gave her my correct checking acct. Progressive did apply then my first payment of 121.46 on March 24 it cleared bank on March 26. I asked Anna if this would affect my acct, she promised me NO. I even offered to pay upfront the April payment of 176.11 she said that was not necessary. On April 14, Progressive emailed me, telling me they canceled my policy On April 13. No notice at all, in fact they notified me the day after! To add insult to injury, they say I now owe them 55.51. This is Wrong. I owe them 0. IN fact, Also what they did to me, canceling my acct for no reason, with no notice of cancellation within 30 days when I did pay in full for that month, I hear from other REPUTABLE ins. agents that this is ILLEGAL.; they cannot by NY Law do this. . Today will report them to the IC3.gov , a branch of the FBI that investigates white collar crime and false advertising. I see too, Gov Kathy Hochul is cracking down on Insurance Fraud so I am reporting them there as well today. What they did to me, I am told, IS ILLEGAL and I will not allow them to continue to harass me and to get away with it. Because of their incompetent staff and ruthless CEO, I was unable to drive my husband to Chemotherapy, as we had no car insurance. My Blood Pressure spiked dangerously the night of April 14 when I got their email that they canceled me, and no one would assist me and I sent 15 emails in 2 days, my BP was 157/111 and I was unable to drive myself to Urgent Care thanks to Progressive's (I am told by another large Insurer!) ILLEGAL actions. I will now contact every consumer agency out there and advise of their illegal activity. Now they are attempt ing via threats and harrassment, to steal $55.51 from me and If I d on't pay they will stick a collector on me and ruin my flawless credit history...I have a Fico score of 820 - they darn near killed me when I could not get to an Urgent Care, my husband's chemo treatment had to be delayed all because we could not drive, and they gave us notice of cancellation the day AFTER they cancelled us. My husband's family in Bayshore, (see Phil Alba) are attorneys. They are rather busy now but if Progressive wants to be sued by us...fine. I have had it with their LIES and Illegal practices. See new attachments, proving I owe them 0. If anything, they owe me for the stress and danger to our lives here they caused my husband and I . (And countless others, check out Progressive's Fb page, it's under Tricia Griffith) I see why no one gets back to me, there are hundreds of complainst, just like mine, abrupt cancellations, non payment on Claims, and far worse...it goes on and on and on. Why is this business still allowed to be in practice? They are clearly unethical, and violating the law. They can't cancel me with no notice! Yet they did, and by doing this , with NO notice, left us unable to drive, they put our lives in jeopardy - I assumed it was some huge mistake on their part, they promised to get back to me...I waited and waited but no one did, and then my insurance I had for 10 years straight with no lapses now I guess shows a 3 day lapse, which I could not help , since they notified me 1 day AFTER they cancelled my policy...and I was trying to get them to correct it all and reinstate it. But no, I am told this is what they do, give you a low ball price quote, then cancel you or threaten to, but double or triple your payments. (this is what I read on the ruthless Ceo's FB page (Tricia Griffith) go see for yourself. Meanwhile more docs attached to support all I say. I want this $55 bogus charge removed from my account immediately.

I wish I could rate progressive a zero star. word of advice run for the hills. for starters…read morecustomer service is so poor its not even funny. my billing for renewals $347, $410. $522. when I all Progressive I was told parts are getting more expensive, granted I never put in a claim. they also said it went up because I had an improper turn, to be transparent a ticket I pain $100 for . the insurance went up over $1000, of course the agent had the nerve to tell me its only $600. I can't imagine how much it would be if I had an actual accident. after being with progressive over the years I couldn't believe how I was treated. when I finally went in the chat to cancel, the agent told me if she wanted to send me cancelation documents in the mail which would drag the policy out for another week or two. I have auto pay so I understood her assignment, and ask for the cancelation effective immediately. I told her to send me anything i needed to sign electronically using my email. she then proceeded to tell me if I didn't provide my information she was going to sign me up for non-renewal. to say the lease I was appalled. I took screen shots of the messages and will be uploading them. I did this review to alert people that even if you have to pay more someplace else, do that at lease you'll be treated like a customer.
