Every time I see a Liberty Mutual commercial, I remember how much they screwed us. That's because:
"With lLiberty Mutual you don't always get what you paid for!"
We paid an extra $900 to have our goods insured with a mover, Riverside Moving and Storage." The insurance was through Liberty Mutual.
Riverside Moving and Storage stole prescription drugs from us and broke 9 pieces of furniture.
We reported the stolen prescription drugs to our local police and tried to get Riverside to honor our insurance contract with Liberty Mutual.
Riverside saw our phone number and refused to answer our calls, For over a year!
I emailed them, and even mailed them a letter which Riverside's owner, JD, had to sign for, So we know he received it. The only time I got through to them was when I called Riverside on my wife's phone. When they realized it was me, they hung up.
We also called the Better Business Bureau and the PA Public Utilities commission. The Public Utilities Commission investigated our claim, said it was legitimate, But only slapped Riverside with an order to clean up their act. They did, but I'm sure they went back to their illegal ways of treating customers once the PUC took their eyes off them.
We tried to get Liberty Mutual to honor our $900 signed contract. Liberty Mutual refused to honor our contract,. They said our dispute was with the mover even after we sent them a copy of our signed insurance contract.
Eventually they said the case was closed.
So we had to pay someone to fix our 9 pieces of broken, but insured furniture.
The moral: Don't trust Riverside to move your goods in Phuiladelphia and don't buy insurance from Liberty Mutal. You may not get what you'd paid for!
