Okay, this is probably the cleanest deli I have ever been in. The owners are super nice and it probably has whatever you have a taste for. Custom sandwiches are delicious with extremely fresh bread. However, for me, the homemade ice cream is the big draw. With a string of hot and humid days, I found the ice cream very refreshing. There are about 6 to 8 flavors per day and they all are delicious, well, the ones I have eaten. I know they have to use plastic spoons, so just be careful not to break it before you finish. Of course, you can have it on a cone of your choice, but for me, served in a bowl is the best. Need a few other staples? they probably carry it. read more

Needed a quick lunch and found Liberty gourmet on a delivery app. What I didn't know was how small the sandwiches are here! The roast beef sandwich was good but it reminded me of ones my Mom used to pack me for lunch. The roast beef was tender but the bread was underwhelming. The grilled chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers and american cheese was nothing to write home about. The prices of the sandwich also didn't match the portions. The positive news is it has quick delivery so if you are hungry you may not be full after eating but it will be delivered quick. read more

It's a nice store and has a lot of necessities, but I'd avoid getting a sandwich here. I bought two sandwiches and each had pre-sliced and pre-packaged meats waiting and sitting in their fridge. Liberty Gourmet boasts one of the greatest selections of groceries and sandwiches anyone will ever find. I first fell in love when I used to smoke cigarettes and I would go here to buy my packs. The staff were some of the most friendly people I had ever encountered. Also, when I used to work in NJ I would come here in the morning and get a coffee everyday, and the flavors were great. I have been a steady customer here since they opened. I find the place very clean and neat, and the staff very helpful and friendly. They have the necessities, plus some upscale-type cookies and other items. They have Boarshead meats, and their lox is quite good and reasonable. They carry the NY TImes and other newspapers, as well as offering fresh coffee, rolls, soda, chips, and other snacks. They carry organic and regular milk, which you don't find in all deli's. We have ordered sandwich plates for small get-togethers and they were delivered exactly on time and very tasty. read more
