I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I would hate for someone to go through what I went through…read more I hired this company for a deep clean for a move out of a rental. Decent price and good communication upfront. When I met the owner, I felt great and was very excited to have a good experience and a stress free move out. She had a team come out and told me they'd take about four hours or so to complete. It sounded like it may have been the first time she was even meeting these guys. Well anyways. She texted me in half the amount of time to tell me the job was complete. I started to get a little worried as it was much sooner than anticipated, but hey maybe they are super cleaners. No they weren't. They left rags on the floor, dirt in tub, sink a mess. Laundry room wasn't even touched. And I discussed with owner sweeping the basement and garage as well as cobwebs and so on which she committed to doing. They didn't do anything in either one of those either. Floors were still a mess. I was seriously wondering what they even did. I sent her pics and explained how this wouldn't pass inspection. Also how I was very stressed as I am on a time crunch. She said please don't stress and let me make this right. The job was unacceptable and those individuals were terminated. I felt better that she saw the issue. Communication was not great the next day as she said she was completing first thing in am. I messaged her at noon. She said she was on the way. I asked for status a 4:45. She responded at 5:30 with pics of work done. Garage was not swept and still had cobwebs. She took out the paper from boxes that she removed for a bulk pickup and put them in my trash cans (so I had to take out of trash cans and move to freaking new house!). The paper should be part of the bill pickup! Still trash on floor in basement. And the pics attached are from after she "redid" the job. So I was at the house for three hours in between appoints when I should have been unpacking doing what I paid her a lot of money to do for me. Beyond disappointed. Once again. I hate doing negative reviews, but I don't want someone to go through what I just went through especially during a time as stressful as a move. Even after my time after the two failed cleaning attempts, I'm worried we won't pass inspection and still have money taken from our deposit.

I hired them when I moved out of my last townhome, and they came to me within a day of my call and serviced the whole place for a very affordable and reasonable price, almost half of the lowest other competitor I found. Because they are a small independent operation, they are more flexible than anywhere else I've seen, and are extremely thorough and meticulous about their work. The place looked brand new when they were done. I've seen other companies clean and leave the details not completely taken care of, but Durden's got in the cracks and details, and even asked if there were specific areas I wanted special attention paid to. They swept the back deck without even reference to the outside on my part. They were also very kind and personable and easy to deal with. If you are looking for a dependable company to clean your apartment, home, business, et cetera, you aren't going to find a more adaptable and reasonably priced company than Durden's.

Then over the past couple of months there was always a little issue with my cleaning. Corners not swept etc. The last "cleaning" I was billed for was a joke. I think they vacuumed the one room with carpet and that is it. My hardwood floors still had visible dirt my sinks were obviously not cleaned. When I contacted the service (via text as I always have) I was told to call before 5pm. My response was that I would not be able to call before 5. I let Lisa know I couldn't. She said I would need to contact her by phone before 5 during the week. This isn't possible with my work schedule. My schedule is the whole reason I use a service. Since this wasn't resolved and since I was charged for a service I didn't receive I cancelled my services. Lisa's response was sarcastic and unprofessional.

First, the cleaners didn't bring their own supplies and used up a tenant's entire bottle of Dawn dish soap--and the owner actually got upset when the tenant asked for it to be replaced. Before the job started, I asked the owner how much the oven would cost. She quoted me $25. I asked if the refrigerator was included, and she said yes, so I asked if we could swap them and just do the oven instead of the fridge. She told me the fridge was already done. She then admitted she forgot to tell her employees to clean the oven that day, so she said they would come back the next day--but changed the price to $30. I sent the $30 anyway just to get it done, but they completely ghosted me and never showed up. Taking extra money for a mistake she admitted to, and then failing to show up, is completely unacceptable.
