Let's get this out of the way up front - I went there first because it was one of the closest cleaners to me. It is NOT the cheapest - certainly NOT the friendliest, and by far, NOT the best job at "cleaning". In fact, I've gotten back shirts and suits with stains that could (and DID) easily come out with just a bit of water - let alone professional cleaning. But my family gave them business EVERY week for years - why? Because they were the most convenient cleaners to travel to! And sometimes they were the only place we could get to before they closed due to late work hours. So we were loyal customers.
But "Judy" broke the straw when she did the following: 1) She handed back an outfit that had the same stains as brought in - and when I paid, but pointed out the stains remained, she had the audacity to say, "Well, that's what you get for requesting a "rush job". Huh? Yes, I asked if I could get back in a day or two (as their sign CLAIMS is no issue) - but "fast" service is not (or should not!) be a synonym for lousy service! Sign doesn't say, "If you ask for overnight service, don't expect us to really clean it". Then my husband asked if he could please have a bag for each of a number of shirts he brought in (usually he just takes one bag for many shirts!!!) but he had a special need for the bags this time, and he asked if he could even have an extra one or two in addition. Unbelievably, Judy said NO on both accounts!
Ok, you can't "force" a cleaner to give you extra plastic bags, I suppose, (though it's the first time anyone has said no), BUT IF A CUSTOMER IS PAYING FOR 5 OR 7 OR 25 SHIRTS, THEY ARE "ENTITLED" TO THE NUMBER OF BAGS FOR WHICH THEY ARE PAYING TO HAVE EACH SHIRT PRESSED OR CLEANED. Liberty Cleaners, do you prefer us to come each day with one shirt rather than 10 shirts at once?!
Judy said, "we can't provide a bag for each shirt - that's why we are the cheapest".
Newsflash Judy, actually there are others (some within a mile of you) who charge the same or even cheaper prices - and I guess you DO do "cheap work" - meaning poor quality, not inexpensive. Are you suggesting you get what you pay for? Convenience be damned. We'll be going the extra 1/2 mile for now on. I'd suggest others do the same!! read more
