Great memories here, I wanted to go to chaboya but lowk the best decision in my life. Bulldog tech is such a good program for your child who sometimes doesn't like group projects. Especially for me I thought it was dumb after seeing leyva's campus is just normal middle school program. I got to experience another type of program. Great teachers, staffs, and students. Got to reunite with most of my old old elementary friends! And made new ones. I believe I'm the class of 2024. I want to shout out my fav teachs: Ms. Tran,Mr hollenkamp, ms balesteri and , Ms. Lam. The other staffs are great too! and omg saving for the best for last.....Ms. counselor(I'm sorry I forgot your name) anyways best counselor in the world. Been with through my hardest time and best. I pretty she came to campus sometimes for club or for me. I really wish I still remember you so I can tell you how far I came. I don't even know how to begin this review. This school is horrible and discriminates their students. The current vice principal is horrible and needs additional training or schooling on how to deal with disabled children. My Daugther who is on the spectrum has had several issues, problems with either a staff member, teacher or a student and the way they deal with this is just not appropriate. There are constant fights all the time. Finally today put my foot down and went down to the district to file a complaint I'm so over the way they are targeting my child. It's been overwhelming and I have to stand up for my child and advocate whether they like it or not. Staff members want respect from the students but won't give it to begin with ! We are the adults the example ... instead they fight with the kids as if they were teens themselves. I can go on and on .... Today was the tip of the iceberg! As a past student of this school, parents. I ABSOLUTELY do NOT recommend going to this school. There are always several fights throughout the school year, staff pretends to care about you, some teachers will inflict stress upon your child. But on the positive side some teachers are nice others will not give a single shit. In my experience with this school they DO NOT CARE about their student's. Some adults will put on a stupid act in front of parents but will be horrendous to students. If you do plan to let your child attend here PLEASE. I'm begging. Never went here for school. Been out of intermediate school for 10+ years ago, believe it or not. Friend introduced me to this vacant wonderful track. Sometimes there is soccer practice or baseball games across the way. Track is normally empty. Good to run on this track to clear your mind. read more

this school is very dirty. I feel that it should be clean especially during covid. The teachers say that they wanna "help" but they dont. They act like middle schoolers themselves because they talk negatively about students. I dont think its professional to tell other students to stay away from a student, or to unfollow/unadd on social media. Ms Williams targets kids. She makes big scenes when its not necessary. She was screaming at someones face accusing them of doing something they didnt do. She went through a students phone, and made them give her their password. She went through their messages, pictures, instagram DMs, tiktok drafts, ect. ect. i dont think that its legal to go through a students phone without their permission. "Generally, they can't. Teachers have every right to seize your phone, but they have NO right to go through its contents unless you give them permission. It is illegal for a teacher to go through the private contents of your cellphone without your consent, and it is illegal for them to force you to do it yourself." that is a quote from Californias law. read more

I used to go here when I was still in middle school. I was about to go to Chaboya, but my bestest friend decided to go to Leyva, so I decided to go to Leyva with her. I was glad that I didn't go to Chaboya, because when I was at Leyva, I saw my old principal at Dove Hill Elementary school as the principal at Leyva. She is still awesome as always. Everyone here is friendly. My favorite memory at this school must be when I didn't go to my P.E class (Mr.Spencer's class) but stayed in my art class (Mr.Ireland's class). Mr.Ireland was an awesome teacher there, but too bad he's not there anymore. read more

I graduated a year ago and throughout my middle school year was amazing. But, few months before graduating, I've experienced a bad depression which lead me, losing weight and low self esteem. It was hard for me because the vice principal will say that they will call the police if I continue to call names to my friend who I made up after knowing that she had some issues at home and was depressed, so I understand her. But, her friend was the one who send me, death threats and insults. The vice principal didn't let me finish my story and claimed me as a bad person who started this all. He kept saying that it was MY FAULT from the start. I wasn't treated, nicely. Words hurts...I go to Bulldog Tech, everyone used to be nice to me and I felt happy but, after they heard from the Vice Principal, they had their backs turned, they started to treat me like a criminal, none of them wanted to talk it out with me except one of my teacher, which I am thankful for. They start to say that I am a bully. I should've been a better person. Words lead me to greater depression. The vice principal also said that I should get help because he thinks that I am mentally stable or I have family problems. Wow, are you saying that I'm mental? I'm a happy person who smiles everyday but, this school lead me to depression. They changed my school schedule, thinking that I will bully my friend or someone different. But, they are totally wrong. Everyone did not smiled back at me but, glared at me, coldly. I was only joking and my friend knew that I was. But, her friend was the one who was causing this. And I know that it was part of my fault that I didn't knew anything and I was joking around with my friend. I still remember how sad I was even to this day, I am sad every time I see that school. I had a pretty great time unaware of how enormous and awkward my body was during 7th and 8th grade. Luckily I was plucked from sixth grade and placed into the "honors" programs at Leyva. So although I was somewhat aware of other kids, who couldn't pass classes where all you had to do was listen to books on tape, sexing it up, slanging, or just plain cutting behind the math building. I suppose that is the key to public schooling, just get into the "honors" programs because the teachers don't teach you like inmates and you don't have to do as much bullshit homework instead you do "projects" which merely reveal how awkward and capricious you are at that age. The teachers were characters but were also encouraging of their little ruffians. I imagine half of them drove home to Scotts Valley feeling like Michelle Pfieffer in Dangerous Minds . Leyva was alright, it's only two years and besides Innerlude played an assembly for us right after they were on the Jenny Jones show. The East Side has always gotten a bad rap but back then we had personality and astoundingly, a little more class. read more
