Still 5 stars almost 4 years later. #treatyoself Managed to release a lot of tension in my body over time. I don't have to as frequently as I once did. These massages definitely kicked off my "healing journey" and now are something I get to do for fun or just to maintain my body as I exercise. Pain in the hip went from eased to nonexistent. Worth it. read more

Lexson Therapy worked me wonderfully! Alexson Roy responded to my request for a massage therapist quite quickly. Alexson is one of the few massage therapists who handle holistic wellness matters professionally. He was punctual and on point with the session. Furthermore, he has the most impeccable touch in the game. He knows about human anatomy and is also a good converser. Not only did he respond quickly to my concerns, but he also made sure I was happy with the session that he administered and the progress that he made. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who desires or needs a massage therapist for their own well-being... Thanks a lot, Lexson! Kuddos to you...... read more

Fantastic service. Booked a last minute and much needed massage appointment with him. He was communicative on Yelp, helping to pinpoint a time. A bit tricky to find the place, it is literally at 143rd and Bradhurst, the building with a bamboo fence where 143 would run if it didn't stop at the intersection with Bradhurst. Lexson was an attentive and intuitive masseur and helped work out knots dating back to the start of the pandemic. Will be returning. read more

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Had a last minute request for a massage to address a long term chronic pain issue and they got me in RIGHT AWAY. Thoughtful, professional, THOROUGH and truly the best massage I've ever received. My body feels exponentially better, and I'm taking deep breaths for the first time in a minute. I'll be back as often as needed because this could not have been a better experience. read more

I have gotten massages for many years and recently moved and had to find a new therapist. It's been a stressful and exciting few months with a large move and new job and my body was definitely feeling the pain. My very good friends recommended Alexson very highly. I am so grateful. Hands down, he gives the best, most relaxing, and highly therapeutic massage I have ever had. I walk out feeling three inches taller. Absolutely fantastic. I strongly recommend this business, you will not regret it. read more

I was looking for a place to feel relaxed and safe due to the current circumstances. I read his reviews and was impressed. I text and got a very quick response. He had availability and I booked an appointment. I walked in though nervous Lexson was very reassuring. He was soft spoken and continued to be reassuring to me. The place was very clean, smelled calming and the music was perfect. He gave directives and was very clear as to how ever comfortable I Was. That was a plus! During the session he asked how it felt, how was I feeling, very calm and ready for the task he had with my tension knots. At the end of the session I was so relieved and about 200 knots loose and thankful. I will be back and highly recommend. read more

I love a good massage but generally don't have one unless I'm on vacation or am having an issue with a joint. On a whim, I decided to schedule a massage based on the recommendation of a friend just for some relaxing time. This was not a good relaxing massage. This was a great massage that made me feel like I was on vacation. What a rare treat to find someone with so much expertise who is local and easily accessible in a comforting, well appointed space. read more

I went in for a 90 minute couples massage with my mother for her 75th Birthday. She has not stopped talking about the experience since last week. I found this business on yelp and decided to take a chance and it was the best decision that I made. The website was very easy to navigate and although I booked the wrong service it was easily corrected with one phone call and an updated text message confirmation. Upon arrival the staff was extremely profession and courteous and this professionalism transferred over to the massage table. I think that Alexson's hands are all knowing. Without prompting additional attention was given to problem areas. i can out feeling limber as a cat! I would highly recommend this location for anyone seeking a massage. 4 thumbs up from Mommy and Me! read more

Amazing therapeutic massage! First time I've been to anyone since pre-Covid, and I'm a mess of tension everywhere. Alexson was able to make a good dent in my knots in just one visit -- I got such a release in my hip, my leg feels 3 inches longer! I'll also note as a woman that I have had bad experiences with male massage therapists in the past and thus usually avoid them. Alexson made me feel safe and comfortable. I am going to be back (and am sending my husband to him too!). read more

Had an amazing massage today with Alexson. He listened to what was bothering me and went above and beyond to focus where I asked him to. Literally felt like I was standing more straight up from when I arrived. I loved how peaceful and quiet it was and I didn't have to worry about other people. I'll absolutely be coming back and will be recommending to others. If you were unsure about booking, don't be. read more

Where has he been all my life? Da best. Period. Knowledgeable and excellent at his job. My needs were specific and he perfectly balanced therapeutic/restorative with relaxation. Worth every cent and happy to invest in a local entrepreneur. read more

My fellow Yelpers, Hands down up right and left this man is truly gifted. A little background, I'm also a massage/body worker therapist and live in Los Angeles. I am visiting my sister and decided to get massages last minute. I found Lexson through Yelp after I tried to book with various of my go to therapist I normally see, well, they were all booked. I decided to give Lexson a shot, I had a strong intuition he was going to be exactly what I needed. I was correct, he is an extraordinary healer, very warm, kind, professional, attentive and tailors the massage to specifically meet your needs. I have chronic neck shoulder and hip problems and he thoroughly addressed each one. He's extremely intuitive knowledgeable; doesn't need much guidance as to where you're hurting. As a therapist whose been practicing for 15+ years I'm telling you he's the real deal. I want to take him back to California with me He check in with you throughout the session to make sure pressure is ok and comfortable. He's created a space where you feel safe, at peace, and truly great energy. Lexson, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your passion knowledge and love for what you do. I felt it through the entire massage! I was fortunate to find you and get a session from you! read more

Had a massage with Alexson last week and it was amazing. He was friendly and very professional. I have had to repeat myself in the past when I tell a masseuse at other locations in the neighborhood that I want a relaxing massage and do not want deep tissue as they always try to work the knots out (which I don't always enjoy) Alexson asked me before I could even say anything what my needs were, if i had problem areas etc and he gave me a great relaxing massage with stretching that kicked my insomnia out the door that night! The room itself was clean, great lighting, music and the added touch of relaxing aromas set the tone for the perfect massage. Prices are reasonable. I plan to be a repeat customer. read more

Hands down the best massage I've ever had. Alexson is a truly gifted masseuse, he's intuitive, very knowledgeable of the body's meridians, maintains a rhythmic flow throughout, checks in regarding pressure & comfort levels, while encouraging movement & mindful breathing. He 100 percent tailored the massage to my needs, drawing from a variety of massage modalities. I came here after getting the worst massage at a fancy hotel spa. I had significant issues with my neck/shoulder, a lower back injury and sciatica, combined with stress & tension. I was a hot broken mess when I walked in, but the amazing treatment I received combined with a warm, cozy environment, candles, incense, sage, lovey soothing music with birds chirping intermittently, was everything I needed to be put back together again. I was so happy with the service, I immediately booked him for the following week! Highly recommend & if you can't get to him, he'll come to you! read more

The best massage I've had in NYC! Both therapists (my spouse and I went together) were personable and skilled. My therapist (Alexson) was attentive to the pressure levels that were effective without pain. He gave me good advice, paid attention to medical concerns, and I left happy and relaxed. I also really liked the space, which felt comfortable and cozy. Will definitely be back! read more

Wow this was amazingg!! Alexson was so great and asked every step of the way if the pressure was good and got all my knots out and i originally came for a shoulder issue which felt brand new after he was done but wow i would highly recommend getting a massage by him. I feel so relaxed, stretched out and my body feels loose. Really great. read more

I was really impressed with the service here. All of the necessary precautions for COVID were in place, and the massage was fantastic. I highly recommend. read more

I first visited Alexson in April of 2018 and it was quite a treat! I had tried a therapist or two before him but none came close to the level of detail or the thoroughness of his work. I recently returned and what a way to kick off the new year. It was better than I remembered. I needed this massage therapy in the worse way. Alexson is able to really provide a therapeutic experience. The pressure, the body work, the stretching! His level of attentiveness ensures that he is keying in on the information that he gets from your body and he addresses accordingly. I was able to feel the stretch and the targeting of my knots as well as fall asleep towards the end. It is a very unique experience in the sense that I can really feel like my body's problem areas are getting some much needed attention but I am also able to get some relaxation out of it. I am certain Alexson heard me snoring on the tail end of today's session. I will try to keep a promise to myself to not stay away for that long again. Fingers crosses. Highly recommended!!!!! read more

I got lost trying to get here, but it was more on me not understanding the area. Luckily Kriss and other passerby's guided me to the right place. I was 30 minutes late but was able to get the full 60 minutes and not charged a late fee, which I was utterly grateful. This was my first time getting a massage, and I did not realize how undressed I had to be for the experience, but Kriss made it a very comfortable environment for me and was attentive to my needs to make me feel the most at ease. I enjoyed the massage and was happy that the knots in my back were fixed right up. I will come back here because it was an overall fantastic experience. read more

Just returned from a couples massage I got my husband for his birthday (cuz you know I had to join for quality assurance ) and we are both THRILLED. We've both had our fair share of massages, some good, a lot not so good. Happy to say Lexson and his team are fantastic at what they do and we're happy to know they're right here in our neighborhood. Even if they weren't, it would be worth the trip uptown to experience the magic. Definitely give them a shot, you won't regret it. Only negative is now I gotta figure out how to work this into the regular budget! read more

Alexson is incredible. My entire body was tight and knotted up and I left feeling like a feather. I have had dozens of massages in my life but none of them compare to my experience at Lexson Massage. This will most definitely be my go-to spot! Thank you, Alexson! read more

I reached out to Alexson because I was experiencing extreme discomfort in my shoulder, neck and hip. He was able to fit me in that day at the Holistic Health Center in Harlem. The room was very clean and comfortable, and Alexson was extremely professional and welcoming. Easily one of the best massages I've ever had, Alexson took great care to address my issues. I left feeling healed, relaxed and rejuvenated. I look forward to making massages with Alexson a regular thing! read more

This is the best massage I've had in NYC, perhaps anywhere. Alexson is an extremely talented therapist. I hobbled in in excruciating pain that I have had for nearly two weeks -- pain so bad it was making me ill. He immediately found the source of my pain and worked on it. He is very professional and calming. A lot of people shy away from working on a big, beautiful, black woman, but he didn't! I walked out feeling great. I'm done with cheap Chinese massages. Alexson is the real deal and worth it. read more

I received an excellent massage yesterday from Alexson. I was feeling a lot of upper back and neck pain due to an injury, but immediately afterward I felt a million times better! I'm writing this the next day, and my muscles are still grateful. Alexson was able to meet with me on extremely short notice (just a few hours!) at the Harlem Holistic Center, which has some private rooms in the back with massage tables. Though there was a group class taking place outside in the front room during the second half of the massage, the noise was sufficiently offset by the relaxing music he put on in our room. Overall, I felt the atmosphere of the room to be extremely comfortable, and the studio quite conveniently located. I've had a lot of massages, particularly because I used to live in Thailand, and I have to say Alexson was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very skilled. He was able to identify the muscle that was causing me pain and spent a lot of time working on it, applying a perfect amount of pressure. He also used some traction techniques to help with my spine. Rarely have I walked out of a 60-minute massage feeling so rejuvenated! I highly recommend this place - I was surprised nobody had reviewed it yet - so go get yourself a massage! read more

Hands down the best massage experience I have ever had. Easy to find location welcomed by the very kind and warm Lexson. He took time with me using all types of therapeutic oils to relieve my congestion. Even went over an hour because he could sense I needed more attention. Very intuitive and generous. I feel like a brand new person! I highly recommend Lexson Therapy! read more

Having been to dozens of massage therapists, I can say with some confidence that Alex is the best value, bar none. Only a tiny handful are on par with his skill level and professionalism (look for my other 5-star reviews), and they tend to be much more expensive. As far as style, he uses a very fluid technique, and is entirely intuitive about what areas need what kind of work. You should still point out likes / dislikes / painful spots / etc of course, but if all you did was lie back and let him work the effect will still be magic. For a therapist, big strong hands and confidence in your ability to pinpoint the source of trouble spots usually means *less* pressure & discomfort is needed. This might be counterintuitive if you've never had a top-tier massage before (vs a Chinatown parlor where the most reliable way to walk away feeling better is to ask for it harder) but trust me, it's true. Alex (a former football player) makes this principle especially obvious in practice. read more

I've been getting massages regularly for years, and I am blown away by Alexson's care, professionalism, and flat out knowledge. A good massage therapist learns quickly the tightness in a person's body, but Alexson takes this to a whole different level, tapping into ways that our bodies get overused and overtaxed in certain places, throwing the whole system off balance. I came in a tight bundle and left 60 minutes later basically transformed and refreshed. Skip the places that charge equal amounts, if not more, for lots of fluff and dressing, and go visit this health practitioner. It will be probably the smartest decisions you'll make that day. read more

I have been hearing about Lexson Therapy for several years now and I finally got a chance to go to Shelter Island to see what all of the buzz was about. I have to definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a professional massage right on the beach! Lexson Therapy has really built a dream-like experience for you because you are literally on the beach in the sand receiving a massage from a trained and licensed therapist. This is not a typical experience, it is one that people remember the rest of their lives. Alexson (the owner) is also one of the nicest, caring, wise, calm zen personality, and most professional therapist I have met. He really knows how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when you are in the hands of his company, Lexson Therapy. He knows how to connect with people and knows how to deliver the type of massage they want. That alone is an art form! I am proud to say that I am now a part of his group and know I am with the best team out there! Thank you Lexson Therapy for giving me an experience of a lifetime! read more

Alexson is the best!! Very professional! If you come in with aches, I guarantee you will come out walking on cloud nine!!

Alexson is by far the best massage therapist that I have ever met. I have struggled with chronic pain my whole life, and after recently blowing out a herniated disc I was unsure if he could even help. Alexson provided an incredible massage without activating any pain whatsoever. I can't recommend him more highly! read more

I went to Lexson Therapy this week for a massage as a birthday gift to myself and what a gift it was. I only booked the massage a day before so I was very appreciative Alexson was able to fit me in. Alexson is pleasant and extremely skillful and knowledgeable in the art of massage as well as knowing the anatomy. He was able to massage, stretch and work out kinks and knots I didn't know I had until he found them. The ambiance of the room immediately soothed me and Alexson's breathing techniques as well as how he asked me to breathe, further relaxed me as he worked out the kinks previously mentioned. This was by far the best massage I've had and I do plan on making Alexson my regular masseuse. read more

Alexson was great. I was able to get a last minute appointment when I needed it the most. He was very knowledgable about what my body needed and was able to give me advice for how to continue getting better after my massage. It was a very relaxing and calm environment. Thank you. read more

I was a few weeks postpartum and feeling all sorts of aches and pains from being a new mother. Alexson confirmed he does postpartum massages and it was an incredible experience. He immediately seemed to know what my body needed and where the sources of the various imbalances were coming from and was able to focus on those areas specifically. Since then, I've returned for myself, as well as sent other family members his way. Everyone has come away agreeing that Alexson is one of the best massage therapists we've experienced and none of us are newbies to massage. I highly recommend! read more

I'm a runner and triathlete and had many massages. I recently hurt my back and Lexson has helped with my mobility. He knows exactly the right areas to target. So glad I took my wife for a couple's massage. They were really friendly and provided excellent service in their garden level apartment. It's comfortable and clean, but nothing fancy. We left there feeling so relieved and relaxed. They are very knowledgeable about different types of massage and therapeutic techniques. Make sure to mention if you have sciatica or have problem areas or need some stretching. The customer service is best via email. I had to move the time and was surprised that they got right back to me via email. It's nice that we don't need to travel downtown for a quality massage anymore. I would definitely go back. read more

Neck pain and stiffness?? You're in good hands with Alexson. Professional service and very efficient. My experience with the therapist Alexson was def a positive one. I woke up with a stiff neck one day and he literally rescued me. Soothing reliving in home massage with a first time discount. read more

I went here because I had extremely sore elbows. I was diagnosed with tennis elbow even though I don't play tennis! Apparently it was issues with carrying my heavy laptop in a shoulder bag. I got the massage and I have to admit it was slightly painful but I'm not kidding - the pain I had experienced for about 6 months was gone within three days. I can't recommend these guys highly enough! And thank you for helping me. I've been pain free for a number of months now! (And carry a backpack instead of my laptop in a handbag.) read more

There is a sanctuary of peace a healing called Lexson Therapy. After traveling from Hawaii to visit family I found it online. Having multiple injuries over my life I get body work regularly. My two hours with Alexson was one most transformative sessions I've ever experienced. He was very present during the session checkin on the pressure and how I was doing. Tension I had been carrying was able to let go of and it increased mobility. I am so grateful to have found it and will definitely return. Lexson Therapy does mobile treatments but I chose to go to their office. It was easy to find. Alexson has created a beautiful five star spa atmosphere there with beautiful decoration and ambiance. I would highly recommend it. read more

This place was a gem! I came here for the first time to get a massage... fingers crossed and hoping it would be an "okay" experience... and it completely exceeded expectation. Alexson was great, really easy going and pleasant on the phone (he was able to accommodate me same day), and the massage targeted all my problem areas. I'm an athlete-turned-dancer with a tendency to overdo all things physical, and it had been ages since I last had a massage. I also have very dense muscles so it takes some strength to work out the kinks. As soon as I walked into the room, I was asked what I was feeling and what my problem areas were--which doesn't always happen--and then he actually addressed those and others that I had failed to mention. I've never had that happen. That's how I knew I was in the right place. Note: Alexson is VERY strong, which worked out great for me, so be sure you tell him your preferred pressure before you start. Either way, he'll ask you during the session and is happy to accommodate and make adjustments. I hiiiiiighly recommend coming here. Even though I don't live in Harlem, I will definitely be coming back. It's worth the trip. read more

My body is truly grateful for the Lexson Experience.
