I knew right away they were the right choice for our family's needs. Florida Direct Cremation is a small, family-owned business and you can tell by the attention and care they provide. Theo notified us when our father was in their care, he assisted with providing our father with honors given to a military veteran, and he stayed in contact with any updates in the process. I felt confident in entrusting them with our father. In terms of value, honestly, we did not do a lot of looking around since Florida Direct offered what we needed and nothing more. We did not need a big funeral home. We needed a service provided by someone who we could trust. I appreciate how Florida Direct Cremation does some of the leg work in notifying social security as well as mailing the death certificates to me (out of state). The owner Steve Looker doesn't give you the time a day nor does he know what he's doing, they don't know how to do air permits either.  We paid over $2600 for our Air Permit back in August of 2019 and it's about to expire because Steve Kevin Looker doesn't know how to fill out an Air Permit.    They have submitted the same Air permit Wrong 5 times, and now I received another bill for $1,483 for all the wrong re-entries, this is the first of many future invoice we will get from the city due to their mistakes. The Government office for our Air Permit told us that they have issues with B&L's permits all the time. Now we have to get a third party consultant, so we can get the permit done correctly before we have to pay another $2600 for a new permit. Another thing, when our Retort was delivered one of the metal pieces that are made for hauling the machine broke off as they were putting it on the ground, the company we hired to move the Retort were freaking out about what could of happened if the machine wasn't so close to the ground.  Once our B&L Service representative came to look a last look at the retort, so we can turn it on and do training.  He couldn't do the training becase he spent a day and a half fixing doors and loose stuff on the machine.   We are now looking to hire an attorney. Death is a highly emotional and painful experience for anyone to go through and if people have their living wills and a trust, it might be a little easier than posting obnoxious reviews. And David is right, you can't use money from a deceased persons account. It has nothing to do with how many children you might have or even different names. It's the law. As far as the value, it didn't matter to me as I had to do what I had to do both times unfortunately. I think Florida family creations is very reasonable based on everything that you receive as well as good customer relations.

All of the documents were clearly explained. The pre-payment is held in a trust until the service is needed. This is definitely the way to go if you don't want a big expensive funeral that your loved ones would have to pay for. The price is about one third of what the big funeral home chains are asking.
