I notice my three osteoma's on my forehead back atleast to 2014. In 2021 or 2022 i reached out to…read moreDr Niamtu team who informed me that i needed CT scan to confirm they are osteoma. I had the scan done but was to afraid to have the surgery. Well. finally this year 2026, I decided to have it done. I contected the doctor who responded to me right away and then his team. On 3/31. I had three osteomas removed from my forehead by Dr Niamto. He was so nice along with his team. The surgery went well and I am bump free. Thank you Dr. Niamto for taking me on as a patient traveling from Parkville MD. I would recommend him if your looking to have your osteomas removed. Thanks Erica

I'm writing this review one month post-operatively regarding Dr. Joe Niamtu's work and staff. For…read morethe record, mine was a 4.5 hour procedure under full-anesthesia and included upper and lower blepharoplasty, face lift, neck lift, chin implant, and full CO2 laser resurfacing. Not a small undertaking. Although additional enhancement procedures such as cheek implants and a lip-lift were options offered, none were pushed on me and I chose not to add either. A child of the hippie and feminist era, I never thought I would consider such a denial of my authentic self! I started my dialog with the staff in May of 2025, put money down in June, with a surgical date established in September of 2025. Though living far from Richmond, I had done my research prior to scheduling and was reassured that I had selected the right surgeon by the website, testimonials, and video tutorials of Dr. Niamtu which thoroughly prepared me for what was to happen. That being said, I had LOTS of questions before and after. Dr. Niamtu has addressed all of them with understanding and patience. If questions concerned other members of his staff, such as the anesthesiologist or the surgical nurse, he had them contact me directly. In the preoperative appointment, he and I went over the results I expected, and he clarified exactly what could and could not be done. Despite the understandable anxiety of going under the knife, he and his staff made me feel safe and every concern was attended to before and in the post-operative weeks that I was in the area. I wondered if after I left I would get the same responsiveness from them, figuring that once the car is bought and paid for, the dealer takes his money and runs, but that is hardly the case with Dr. Niamtu. My concerns during the healing process continue to be addressed. Being from out of town, I chose to stay in the Richmond area a full two weeks after the surgery. I wisely chose Susanne Singer as my caretaker. I would have stayed longer if Dr. Niamtu had indicated it was necessary, but he gave me the green light to get on the plane at the 2-week point. Surgical nurse, Breeden Browning, was excellent for her skill, but also when I talked to her woman-to-woman about how to maintain my results going forward. I am still healing, but I got just what I wanted, a younger version of me. I had had a good run as a somewhat attractive woman for many years, but at 75 could no longer enjoy what I saw in the mirror. This surgery ensures my last years will be celebrating what I see there. I look like my 55-year-old self, which wasn't bad at all! Can't thank everyone-surgeon, surgical nurses, anesthesiologist, and admin staff enough. Now I know why everyone said in advance, you won't be sorry.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience and surgical outcome…read more I underwent a liposuction and abdominoplasty with this surgeon and the results were not what was promised or reasonably expected. The incision was placed approximately 2 cm higher than where it should have been, causing my belly button to sit noticeably higher and giving my waist a squared appearance rather than a contoured one. Despite undergoing liposuction, there is still noticeable residual fat remaining on my abdomen. In addition, the incision was closed without adequate tightening, leaving visible bulging above and below the incision that creates a quilted or puckered appearance. I now have a pooch that I did not have prior to surgery. Liposuction of my flanks and lower back was missed entirely -- not once, but twice. I even underwent a second liposuction procedure, and the flanks were still not properly addressed. The ends of the incision also have what appear to be "dog ears," further affecting the cosmetic outcome. Despite raising these concerns, providing photos, and attempting to have a reasonable discussion, the surgeon would not acknowledge the issues or take responsibility. I was repeatedly told that "no harm was done," and therefore no refund or corrective support was offered, even though the agreed-upon services and expected results were not delivered. This has been an emotionally and physically difficult experience. I am now seeking revision care elsewhere. Based on my outcome and the lack of accountability afterward, I would not recommend this surgeon to anyone considering body contouring procedures. Feel free to reach out 540-336-8162 for more info of my experience with this surgeon. Happy to provide more before and after photos as well. See this surgeon results in attached photos.

This is my preliminary review based on services so far. I'll go back and update after the surgery…read moreitself, and again after my recovery period (3 months). I've seen Dr Sundin at this practice for my upcoming liposuction. He was very friendly, professional, and thorough in explaining my options, treatment, follow up, and answered all my questions. My surgery is tomorrow and I feel very confident thanks to the doctor. Based on the outline I've been given, I don't expect hidden fees (obviously if that changes I'll say something). I have already gotten my medication for post surgery recovery so I won't have to worry about running astound, exhausted and in pain waiting to get my meds. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful and despite youse being elective surgery, no one has come even close to body shaming me which I appreciate. I'm happy with my body and weight, with the single exception that I'm going in to address. At no point did the doctor attempt to disparage any part of my body, even what I came in to address, only asked what I wanted. Edit: Post surgery I can't tell if the hospital tried to double charge me or if there was a genuine computer issue, but the intake rep was great and only charged the correct amount. The lead up in hospital was friendly and helpful, answered all my questions ahead of time. My follow up is later today since one of my incision sites is leaking. Overall, I'm very sore, but only in minor (threatening to verge into extreme) pain when I move or make to stand up. My legs feel fine so I keep thinking I should walk around, but I know better thankfully. The drainage site is right at my panty line so I'm having to wear my panties a few inches lower than I normally do which is a little annoying but whatever. Depending on when surgery is, I definitely recommend dresses immediately following to accommodate access to drainage bulbs. I left around 5pm yesterday and got home and settled at 6pm after my scheduled start asst 12 noon. That's all I can think to share that's relevant but if I think of more, I will of course edit.

Now that my personal information had been captured I was also provided with a document stating that I would be responsible for any charges that the insurance would not cover up to the amount of $1500.00. This organization stated that they would have full access to my personal account and could make withdrawals at will and I would be notified via email prior to the withdrawal. At that very moment I felt extremely uncomfortable with the arrangement but thinking that I would be adequately notified I would be able to adjust accordingly. Here's where the whole program falls apart. Taking it from the top the first charge, a $25.00 co-pay was debited from my account on 08/16/2016. The second charge of $51.41 was debited from my account on 09/06/2016 and I was never notified. Approximately a week later I was debited with a charge of $104.00 again not notified. I caught this in process and asked it be stricken and a stop put on any further charges, (date cannot be provided because it is no longer on the ledger,) action was reversed. On 09/13/2016 I get hit a second time for the same charge of $104.00 and this time it has been processed, a temporary credit was issued and was reversed on 11/30/2016 finding no fault on the part of your organization. Now mind you, this organization hit my account three times in a period of only seven days with each and every time I have not been notified. Suddenly I'm an ATM for Christine Rauch! I reiterate, I was NEVER notified by email, (or any other form for that matter) of any impending withdrawal. Closer examination of the documents forwarded to me from the banking institution had revealed that one of their staff had input my email address incorrectly as baherden@verizon.net instead of the correct address. Given that this can prove to be a most critical factor it would behoove Dr Rauch and her staff to confirm this information rather than take it for granted. Clearly this organization deserves to be paid, I don't take issue with that. I take issue with this organization being paid at the expense of cleaning out my bank account and leaving me with not so much as enough cash to buy gas in order to go to work the next morning. I am currently 68 years of age, (was 63 at the time of the procedure.) I have an advanced education in aviation, I am grossly underemployed as well as under paid. Since I do live paycheck to paycheck these people have absolutely no idea what it's like to have your checking account cleaned out and you have to knock on someone's door at five in the morning hoping to borrow $20.00 so you can get to work? It's coming to the point where it's no longer a service for a fee, it's all about sucking someone's bank account dry. It's beginning to feel like it's a contest to see who can empty my bank account first. I understand that Dr. Rauch's husband is an emergency room triage doctor. Everyone should be justly compensated for their knowledge and intelligence. Between the two of them I'm willing to wager that together they are knocking down half a million a year. It's really a shame that they have to resort to unscrupulous means to accomplish their wealth. Having worked as a trained and licensed aircraft mechanic were my associates and myself are required to maintain and fly aircraft, were the aviation field to be handled like this office has handled my account there would be a bunch of broken aircraft, a whole lot of dead people and someone would most certainly be going to jail. The medical treatment was excellent, the way I was treated on the business side of the house is absolutely deplorable. If I had to do it again and was diagnosed stage four cancer I would turn and walk the other way rather than to be subjected to this kind of abuse. Brings new meaning to the aged term, "A license to steal." Makes me wonder if a crime has been committed?

In the future I'd love to have a little bit of surgery around my eyes and forehead to rid those bags around my eyes and wrinkles on my forehead. :) Anyways..
