It is literally right at the base of the Davis dam along the Colorado river about 10 minutes from Casino drive. We spent almost 2 hours here letting them play on this playground. There is a walking trail that goes around the entire park as well as picnic tables with shade. We mostly stayed in the playground area which had modern, clean and safe equipment for my kids. The restrooms were typical public restrooms but they were open and usable. There was also an area with cool painted rocks that people have left behind. I believe at the edge of the park there was a dog run/dog park area. Stunning views of the powerful dam and the river.

It is some of the little nuances that make the biggest difference. There are multiple poop bag dispensers and scoop shovels with trash cans all along the nice walking path through the park. But you will notice that the park is not only gigantic, has multiple watering stations along the walk path as well as multiple places to sit! The nice thing is the places to sit are all spaced out across the dog park and because of the natural ground covering the bushes kind of block visibility from one to the other. It says no dog toys on the gates so clearly they are aware of what sets some dogs off. Also not having them all congregate together and be able to see the large groups because of the way the tables are set up, also helps keep things calm. You park fairly close to the park and you can walk around the interior on the path, that is almost completely flat. But it's the natural ground covering that makes it all so nice for the dogs. And just FYI it not only kicks the snot out of, blows the doors off, chews up and spits out the new one in Laughlin, maybe that dog park there comparatively speaking should be called laughed in dog park! So if you're looking to move near the water this one's much nicer

I had been to this park a while ago, but it seemed that they have upgraded it a bit since then. The…read moremajor impressive addition is their splash pad, which is like a mini water park. They have have the water not just shooting up from the ground, but areas they can climb up into, water coming from above with small arches and giant flower sculptures. Multiple buttons to activate different water features. They make this available to 8 pm, but it would be nice with the Vegas heat if the parks allowed this till 9 pm. The playground is smaller, one less traditional but geared towards older kids, and a smaller one for the littles. Both these areas are very well covered by shade clothes above. They have unique saucer type swings off to the side and a small rock climbing cave. They also have a large basketball court. Parking is street parking primarily, but there is a small parking lot as well.

The park has improved since our first visit about 3 summers ago. We come here at least once and we all enjoy it, we get there early morning and leave right before closing. I may add, if you go during the summer, you MUST wear sun protection and bring lots of water, the heat is no joke. The water is really cold which is refreshing on a hot summer day. The staff is very friendly and informative, also very helpful!! My tent blew away during a little windy moment and they helped me bring it back while also providing tips to prevent it from happening again. In the past, we had to get there before the park opened to secure a spot and once capacity was met they didn't allow anyone to enter. This was tough since there were a couple times we didn't make it on time and had to go elsewhere. Now, things have changed, which is a lot more convenient. They only allow the people that have reserved online go in from 7am-11:30am. If you DO NOT have reservations, you will NOT be allowed in before 11:30. At 11:30 they will only allow you in if they haven't reached capacity and it's first come first serve. If you did RSVP and make it after 11:30am, you risk losing your spot since general people will be allowed in at that time.

Many of them were docked right in the beach, resulting in a lot of people ripping through very closely to where people were swimming.
